Alfa Romeo 159 cooling fan control module test
Later produced models don't have the 2 speed control circuit with 2 relays, so you can not test it with MES (it simply won't start). Here is the way, that I found out to test if your fan control module works properly. I disconnected the water temp. sensor. Connected a 1Kohm (500 ohm is enough) potentiometer to the two terminals. I started around 280 ohm (this is the resistance of the sensor around 90°C). As I turn down the potmeter (lowered the resistance) the ECU thinks that the water temp is rising. Around 100°C the fan starts to work with moderate speed, and above 110°C it starts to spin pretty fast.

Kb. 10/2 hangerőn volt. Jobban kihajtva szebb az overdrive-ja és dinamikusabban szól. 1. Clean csatorna, 2. Drive csatorna, 1/2 gain 3. Drive csatorna, 3/4 gain

Hangminta a kedvenc soundjaimról, mindenféle külön pedál nélkül.

    I just test my 2.2jts engine idling 800rpm TEST 1) aircon ON , temp reaches 90degrees, radiator fan starts bringing down to 87degrees. TEST 2) aircon OFF, temp reaches 93degress, radiator fan doesn't start. any ideas why sensor and fan working fine and the fan doesn't receive the signal to start?

    My used Flextone III is pretty good as a home or studio amp. Daily player for over a year now and it sat in-place for the first owner. Good player that guy! Mine was pristine less the scratchy, later dropping out, master volume pot. Sprayed from the top with contact cleaner and now it just scratches a bit, no random drop out. I think pots are oil filled for steady/even turning feel. That's now gone. I suspect the contact cleaner got into the oil. But it works better than before if not so nice to the touch. I'm not keen to open up the amp and deal with it properly, as it's my daily player. Someday I will and I'll also replace the pot. There is muddy tone to contend with on far too many of the models, but EQ sorts that okay. An EQ pedal is on my list. Good distortion can be found, but requires a search. I have the SBV Shortboard so dialed in tones and effects are a toe tap away. Bought a used AMPLIFi TT unit because it was cheap and I knew the modeling was a generation better. It is definitely better overall, but when I go with just the amp it is still pleasing. 150 watts, two Celestion G12s, lots of very good effects and foot switching. I paid $450 NZD for the amp and stompbox combo, then another $240 NZD for the AMPLIFi TT. And some sort cables. Better sound has really improved my playing, so totally worth it. Good tone from big speakers really moves a player into places less encountered on a wee practice amp. Well that's my experience playing 30+ years on only cheap small amps...untill now. And I play much more often and for longer too. It was time and I feel a sense of earning my way into a better amp, not just buying one. Next amp comes a year after the mortgage is paid. It'll probably be a used Katana after they've proven to last. I think the FLEXTONE amps are great for players who have better priorities than spending large on gear. For most of us good enough is all we can really hear anyway. Most musicians are hobbyists and DON'T have the ears they think they have. And most audiences aren't listening closely if at all.

    • @mattjacomos2795

      @@davidBarrel that fan has FIVE speeds and draws a LOT of current. The fan is switched by computer, and the WHOLE system is tied together with the ignition and on board computers as a network. The car will overheat at 100kmh without the fan too, the oil temp is more accurate than the water temp as to what's actually happening inside the engine. basically if the car overheats I'd try disconnecting and reconnecting joiners, as well as checking that the earths are clean. If that does not solve the problem then the computer has failed and the car is basically a throw away (unless you score a write off from the auctions and it HAS to be the same year and model and engine)... Very hard to work out a way to bypass these computers, but a helluva good looking car

      This isn't a tube amp, so you can get the breakup from 0 volume. Of course it sounds better on higher volume, but you can get good tones on room volume too.

    • @pettysct
      @pettysct 8 лет назад

      Thanks! I think, this amp is more than enough for home playing. In my room I used it on 2,5-3 volume. I even used it with my band. We play in a small room so I didn't have to crank the volume more than 6. Check out our Sweet child o' mine video: ruclips.net/video/PUbAHy6ogh4/видео.html Here I use a wah and an overdrive pedal before the amp. In the effect loop I use a delay and a chorus pedal. This amp handles them well. In my opinion this amp is much better for home use than a VC-30.

    • @emreemre369
      @emreemre369 8 лет назад

      +Péter Hegyi Very good job I think, I checked it out. And the tone is beautiful too, I really had to hear this. Nevertheless, my non-expert opinion is that a more aggressive tone would sound better with this kind of music. I don't know if Laney can deliver that with a different OD pedal, or is it a little too much on the softer side.. My impression is that it won't. I sounds great nevertheless. And now I can eliminate VC30. So thanks a lot.

      Read my last comment. I can't tell the exact settings, because I've already sold the amp. By the way this strat is a Classic Vibe, which has pretty good pick-ups in it, so it's not as dull sounding as the cheaper Squiers.

  • @lissandavegreen
    @lissandavegreen 10 лет назад

    What are your amp settings please

    • @pettysct
      @pettysct 10 лет назад

      Well, I don't really remember my exact settings. I can recall that for clean sound, I used the yellow Class A-30(Vox AC-30) model with a bit of chorus and delay. I used that much gain, that the sound was a little bit crunchy. For hi-gain I used the red one by the Recto Dual (Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier). If you setting the tone controls you should listen to your ear. There aren't universal settings, which sounds everywhere good. You have to set up your amp for the room, where you play at.
