The first time I heard this song was Christmas Day December 25th 1986. My dad gave me the album for Christmas that year. I really liked this song and that it sounded really way cool. I thought it would certainly be released, we would hear it on the radio and it would hit the charts and yet for some reason, it never happened. That has always remained a mystery to me.
My favorite Bananarama album. A great blend of the Swain/Jolley and SAW aesthetics. The moody, chill vibe of the group shines beautifully throughout. I have always been a huge fan of the leisurely opening of this track, as well as the moment when one of them unexpectedly busts out solo with the "of your mind" refrain. And let's of course take a moment to applaud the gorgeous the album cover: incredible art direction and timeless in its effect.
I wish they stuck with Jolley/Swain. This is their best album. Ready Or Not, Do Not Disturb, Trick Of The Night. They captured '86 like no other group could.
No, their WOW! album was probably their best album in terms of commercial success. But this album had some fine cuts on it like this one and Venus of course. But Trick Of The Night, Do Not Disturb, More Than Physical, Dance With A Stranger were great too.
I got the album "True Confessions" for Christmas December 25th 1986 and it was then that I heard the title song. I really liked it and it sounded so way cool. I too thought this song would be released and we would hear it on the radio and yet that never happened for some reason. That was something that has always remained a mystery to me.
I think I’m criminally guilty (deserving only the death 💀 penalty obvs) of selling Bananarsma 🍌 short! This rocks 🎸harder than most of the apparent rock 🎸🎸band’s of the last decade! Granted pop music 🎵 has largely forgotten how to rock properly, and it’s left to just the crusty old duffers like me and older to do rock music like it’s meant to be. 👍🧐
jeg skrev et brev til Bananarama Fun Club 1989 det var et brev med sølvpapirs tape omkring jeg skrev jeg ville vente forevigt kan du nok Huske Keren ;)

What a nice memory for you! When I was about 16 or so my dad bought me a record by a band called Trooper...the name of the album was Hot Shots...
the best song they did.
One of my favorite Bananarama songs. Absolute nostalgia.

my favorite bananarama album for ever
Love that long intro! Great track from the 80s! 🔵
Great song which never got the attention it deserved
This is such a great song to listen to when driving at night with a group of friends!
True Confessions is my favorite album of Bananarama!
Music that just makes you feel sweet inside...missing my era of the best music from the late 70's thru the 80's. Siempre amor for my generation.
Music back then was melodious and had orchestral roots, as opposed to the crash bang, crash bang, chant , chant of today..
@@blogshagify indeed
Bananarama forever.

Ok why this wasn't a SMASH HIT is beyond me 😕
I would think many songs don't become smash hits simply because disc jockeys don't play them.

It's a memory song
I think I listen this long intro in some movie...But can't I can’t remember in which... Did you?
Yes! It's been driving me crazy. I know I've heard that opening in some movie, but for the life of me I can't remember 😥
The Intro is bomb-ass
I’m sure an edit was used for something.
Yeah, it sounds like every opening credits montage ever.
Настолько я понимаю - фильм 'Крокодил Данди' 1 или 2.
