***** well..he wasn't actually possessed by Dark Samus. He succumbed to Phazon Madness where you willfully begin to crave and protect the Phazon and wish for it to continue to expand. I always took the Phazon Madness to be similar to how the ring of power affected Gollum or Frodo in Lord of the Rings. It psychologically warps your mind and turns you against others.
Hey Dan, I know you from facebook! Also, yeah, I agree, and listening to this song after beating him and seeing him die actually hits you right in the feels.
I agree! It's so sad and makes you want to cry because samus has lost her friend. Samus, a secluded bounty hunter looses the 3 friends shes ever had since Adam's death. I love listening to this theme over and over.
This theme is full of remorse and dissatisfaction, which is why I love this track so much. You don't want to fight Rundas but do so anyway because you have no choice and he's trying to kill you. This isn't an honorable battle, it's a fight full of regret that you can't help but take part in. The player themselves also feel a feeling of deep guilt. You've been saved by Rundas twice already, and when you find out you have to kill him, you get a sudden feeling of sorrow and regret.
IKR Rundas was my favorite of all the other bounty hunters in this game, and you feel like you owe the guy because he's saved your ass twice, but he barely gets any characterization, such crushed potential regarding his character. I wish he talked to you before you fought him, or he thanked you for freeing him from the phazon corruption with his last dying breath after you beat him.
Ben Foster I feel like it's better that you didn't get to know him. It makes the fact that you have to kill him that much sadder for me. I mean, he saved your life twice, and all he knew about you was your name. He didn't know who you were, what you've done, or what you want. I feel like that's a testament to how great of a person he really was, and the fact that you have to kill him before you even got to know who he really was is just sad to me. Because let's face it, Samus is seriously lacking in the friends department, and Rundas could've helped with that.
Ben Foster In a way, he might have. Note how he's the only one who kills themselves. Out of all the hunters. You didn't finish him off, he impaled himself with a giant icicle. This may indicate he realized what he had become, and put an end to it.
*remembering a flashback of Rundas' last heard words* Hey, relax! We're the good guys! Justice will prevail and all that stuff... Right, Samus? *echoes*
Rundas may not not have been the most well fleshed-out character in the series, but I definitely felt something inside of me during the fight. It was mostly "Please don't die, you've got so much potential to be an interesting character."
Sikanto Ghor was easily the most fleshed out of the three (ironic because he's a cyborg). I really liked him, he was very interesting to interact with on SkyTown.
I wish we'd been given another mission with them before they succumbed to the corruption. It would have helped us get more attached to them and made their deaths more impactful.
Rundas was my favourite bounty hunter after Samus Cold tears were shed as I watched him getting impaled by his own shard Rest in peace brotha, will miss
I've recently realized that the way Rundas dies is far more dramatic than we were initially led to believe. We were meant to assume that the icicle that impaled him was due to his power overloading, but I think it was actually Rundas using the last of his conscious capability to end his own life before Dark Samus could fully corrupt him.
***** I didn't mean to sound like a dick, your description was actually my first thought of when it happened. I never even thought of his power overloading
to me it always seemed like dark samus forced him to kill himself because she saw that he was starting to resist dark samus' control, that's why he looked left and right as if he was just released from the trance just before he gets impaled
every game had so many fantastically memorable songs Prime had the Phendrana Drifts, as well as every major boss having an amazing theme Prime 2 had great boss music, especially the emperor ing I'd have to say this game takes the cake for memorability though, with this song, the bryyo cliffside, skytown, and gandrayda all being songs i remember perfectly even 9 years after it came out (9!)
Like the beginning of a fantastical adventure, the euphoric feelings that were impressed upon me are still fresh today, I was young, it was my first console game, and my second Metroid game. A wonderful medley of happiness, anticipation, nostalgia, surprisingly, as i lost my first Metroid game cartridge, so I was ecstatic to play the series again.
Please resume the temperature jokes week from now. I'm recovering from a cold. (Or not, I only have frequent coughs and occasionally lose my voice. Could be worse.)
I just noticed that at around 2:20, at the end of the track before it loops, the theme loses its previous majesty and becomes more wild, loud, and disorganized. That's a pretty awesome way of representing Rundas's corruption.
It truly is baffling that this song STILL didn't make it into smash bros. I get some of the more ambient metroid music not really working.. but this is battle music!
I love how this tune was remixed into the Trilogy menu screen. I also love how is species name and its namesake musical scale, Phrygisian and phrygian respectively, are pronounced like "fridge". Mr. Freeze ain't got shit on Rundas.
Max Phillips Lets go a step ahead and get him playable. We can't get Ridley, Dark Samus is an assist trophy. Rundas would be the only ice user on the roster. (I still miss the Ice Climbers)
The Fury If Rundas was a character that would be so incredible. I can see it now: B is a chargeable ice shot that can freeze enemies depending on how long you charge it, Side B is a wide swing with an ice blade, Up B is like Greninja's hydro pump, but he rides on a sheet of ice, and Down B encases Rundas in an icy armor that reduces the amount of knock back he takes, kinda like WFT's deep breathing. He'd certainly be a better choice than Anthony Higgs. Not to mention I just imagine Rundas winning a match and saying "That was a bit too hot for my liking." =D
Max Phillips I voted for him on the ballot. He was my immediate choice, and I got as many people as possible to vote for him. The numbers are probably low for votes, but hopefully he's seen. But he has so much potential for being a great character. And your idea for a moveset is a good start.
Nintendo: whats that you say? you want a character of your choice in smash? don't worry guys our ballot will allow you to put any reasonable choice of your desire so it may count towards new potential dlc. We're totally not going to put ANOTHER fire emblem character as apart of the roster. and look on the bright side you'll also get RYU!!! Rundas? Who's that? *observes Metroid history* oooh you want this character in smash? well let's see what are polls say *90 percent votes are to Bayonetta* sorry fellas you can always try again NEVER! oh and we also hate anything Metroid.
This song just makes me so emotional. If you think about it, your forcing Samus to fight one of her friends, who has been corrupted against his will. It's like putting your best friend out of his misery. Amazing.
This is more emotional than most viewers realize I think 1:23: There is a repeated line of "Don't cry Samus" and it fades out a bit..it's like a soothing whisper...but then there's this Synth WAIL at 1:30. Such a release of emotion...it's like Rundas is saying "don't cry Samus" and there is this explosion of emotion that can't be withheld.
I thought it was saying “Samus why are you crying Samus what’s the matter” like he’s trying to comfort her even in his darkest moments… he’s trying to be tough for her even though he’s crying out in agony
This song brings tears to my eyes. I remember fighting Rundas, screaming in my head, "NO! Don't do this! we're friends! Snap out of it!" I spent like 5 minutes just dodging because I didn't want to hurt him :( Felt horrible killing him but I suppose he would rather die than live a life of corruption, a drone of the metroid prime... *sigh*
Rundas, The other hunters from Prime 3 corruption and U-Mos from Prime 2 Echoes were some of the few Metroid supporting characters that I actually liked.
I remember fighting this boss back in 2007 and just how it all felt like a dream because of this music. It gave the fight a very surreal quality. It's also one of the best songs ever in a Metroid game so there's that.
One thing I notice about this song is the militaristic vibe in it, combined with the somber and discontent feel of it It hammers in that this was a brother in arms, a fellow soldier, now permanently lost to cold unfeeling poison, and must now be put to rest for the greater good The guitar shreds also tell me that, even with the context in mind, Rundas is still a warrior with a hell of a resume, and is about to go down fighting till the very end
while fighting the bounty hunters, ESPECAILLY Rundas, i almost didn't even want to, literally put my controllers down right there and not play, just bc of how much i loved their characters. Seriously, one of the best games ive ever played. i wish my wii didnt break :(
Listening to this makes me so sad, I really liked Rundas. The song feels like this is pleading from Samus to recover Rundas from being corrupted by Dark Samus. There was no saving him.
Metroid is the greatest video game series ever made, and this theme is a prime (get it?) example of that. Listen closely to 0:19. "Don't cry Samus now, Samus, don't cry." On loop. Just imagine that that's Rundas somehow communicating to Samus through the nightmare he's in right now. Someone else made the interesting observation that right before Rundas dies he stretches out his hand and his head spasms right before he's impaled, and that could him stretching out his hand as, right before death, he regains some small control, and needs to look at his own hand to ensure he really isn't corrupted, and as his head spasms due to the confliction and struggle going on inside him, he uses the last of his strength to end his own life. What i propose is Rundas came into the battle knowing full well what would happen. Justice will prevail and all that, right? All throughout the fight you can hear him comforting Samus. Don't cry Samus now, Samus, don't cry. He knows what he needs to do. He's just preparing Samus for it. But what i love most is the idea that Rundas has no control, but can see out his eyes, can see what he's doing. Can see Samus. Samus is crying. The greatest video game character, Samus, has been portrayed as a hero, has been shown to be a keeper of peace, and has now been shown to have true emotion towards her comrades. All that with almost no words spoke. And while trying to do that, Retro Studios made probably the coolest side character ever, Rundas. I love Metroid. I'm going to go play some Prime now.
Rundas's theme is so good that it became the title screen music for Metroid Prime Trilogy. That's too badass for words. The end of it also reminds me of the Parasite Queen theme.
I always loved this theme; the bitter yet necessary fight. During the song it sounds like Rundas is saying, “Run Samus!” almost like a warning to her, crying out to her to be careful of Dark Samus/Metroid Prime and the corruption of the Phazon. Though I would love to know what Rundas is actually saying in the background.
Fun fact: When I first heard of this fight and this music I thought it was originally the final fight of Metroid Prime 3. My idea was this: Rundas was an ally of Samus during the game. A distant and rare ally, but still an ally. After Samus defeats what was the supposed final boss they meet up on a random planet to combat each other, to see the full extent of Samus' abilities and power.
Rundas: "Don't worry, we're the good guys. Justice will prevail and all that, right Samus?" Dark Samus: "Yesss but unfortunately for you, you will not be on that side."
In Fire Emblem, there’s an archetype called the Camus, they’re usually a character on the enemy side that does not support the cause of their army and in some cases dismisses soldiers during battle, but their loyalty to their nation prevents them from joining your side. Rundas to me is a Camus because while he is corrupted. He still fought the corruption to the very end.
you guys are so limited.. rundas and dark samus isn't the only potential metroid characters that could be in smash. give metroid prime hunters a play through and you'll why i even posted this comment in the first place.
Actually it's not team ninja that is bad but Sakamoto, the ACTUAL creator of Metroid and the character of Samus Aran ; for "Other M" he was the one directing the game's developpment and making team ninja doing absolutely everything as he said. Think of it like Hayden Christensen, the actor playing the character of Anakin for both the "Phantom Menace" and "Revenge of the Sith", prior to both movie he was a rising star in the movie industry for being such an outstanding actor but, because of George Lucas decisions regarding the scenario's script and telling how Hayden should play his role, he ended up getting a very bad reputation from the fan community. But the reality was that hayden just acting like how George Lucas told him to - Sakamoto did the same thing with team ninja. As opposite to that, Retro Studio was almost granted total freedom to developp the Prime series as they saw fit without being impeded by any external orders. The results are obvious as to wich direction one should take when developping things.
av3nger3 i think you could try to make a lot of misheard lyrics out of that part but ,guys, please tell me in the metroid prime 2 menu theme you hear samus samus samus or save us
it would have been more Sad if Rundas was the final hunter to fight instead of the first one, imagine him being able to resist the corruption like Samus did and helping you trough the game only to succumb near at the end of the game, the fight would be 100 times sadder
The battle and subsequent death of Rundas was the first time I had ever felt a legitmate "sad" emotion in any game. He took a place in your heart the instant you met him and the other three hunters on the Federation ship. This track and the battle itself just ate away at me. One of my favorite Metroid characters. Hell, one of my favorite Nintendo characers.
You know, I don't fu**ing care if they supposed to be death, I want some Bounty Hunters of Metroid Prime and Hunters to be in the next Super Smash Bros. I would scream like a little Fan Girl! Imagine Rundas, Ghor, Gandrayda, Weavel, Kanden, Spire, Noxus, Sylux and Trace to be playable characters on it...or at least make a new Metroid game for the Wii U Nintendo...
I practically cried when I first went through with this battle. Rundas was so cool (no pun intended). He saved Samus's life 3 times and had a great sense of honor. But even he couldn't fight the corruption of Dark Samus. I still can't believe I had to take his life in the end...
Proud for a reason I say (Samus scan visor says his threat level matches hers). Besides he did seem to respect Samus immensely almost like a friendly rivalry
metroid prime 3 was a damn masterpiece ..... i was probably 10 years old when i played this game and I still haven’t forgotten about it, there isn’t one single day where I don’t wish we could go back in time, just for us to restart playing this game for our first very time again.
Funny how you can get to like a character that has so little screen time. The battle against him was so tragic, the music fueling a feeling of despair and sadness. It echoes the feelings I had: 'Why do I have to kill him? Why!' And then after the battles, the way he is brutally killed by his own ice. Did he commit suicide in a moment of lucidity? Did Dark Samus turn his power against him. Rundas, despite not shining for long, you are one of the most memorable character I've encountered.
+Joueuse de la Cave "*Yeeeah ! Fuck you !*" - King K Rool, World Champion Boxer. (By the way, is your username supposed to reference "Joueur du Grenier" ?)
"dont cry samus. everything will be fine..." "..." Flashbacks "Don't worry, we are the good guys. right, Samus? "That was a little hot for my liking, well done Samus, we'll meet in the center part, but now." "You owe me one.." my theory: Rundas was possed by Dark Samus, but he didnt want to kill everyone, so he got a plan, that he lead Samus to him, to stop the possesion by killing him, in that way. he would sacrifice/succide himself. so he could stop the possesion, and meanwhile, some people may haven't noticed, but rundas was talking to Samus in the song in some timespants tryring to tell Samus: "Dont worry, Samus" in 1:30 he was trying to calm down Samus, because it was like Samus didn't want to hurt him, but she was forced to, then, when she gets rundas to almost his death, dark samus wanted to use ALL of his power. but instead, he sacrificed with the little power he had. and btw, its a theory, i dont know if its true, but its my vercion to explain the details of the event...
Rundus is the first character to ever actually be there for samus. Before MP3 samus was alone without no ally/friend and this alone sets an emotional cause.
"Don't worry, we're the good guys. Justice will prevail and all that, right Samus?"
And ironically, he became a 'bad guy'.
Geo Hugokare It wasn't his fault tho.
Geo Hugokare Well Dark Samus possed him, he then sacrafice himself so Dark Samus wouldn't use him against her.
Rodolfo Martinez that's actually a good way to explain it.
I love how this theme really resonates with the loss of an actual colleague. You can hear the pain in the song, it's so well put together.
+Dan Root Definitely
Hey Dan, I know you from facebook! Also, yeah, I agree, and listening to this song after beating him and seeing him die actually hits you right in the feels.
I agree! It's so sad and makes you want to cry because samus has lost her friend. Samus, a secluded bounty hunter looses the 3 friends shes ever had since Adam's death. I love listening to this theme over and over.
The Heavy Metal Metroid Adams death didn’t happen yet during Metroid Prime 3... the Prime series takes place after the first Metroid game
thanks yamamoto

Rundas may not not have been the most well fleshed-out character in the series, but I definitely felt something inside of me during the fight. It was mostly "Please don't die, you've got so much potential to be an interesting character."
The thing is, the other hunters /did/ have clear and distinct personalities, despite having only like 4 lines each. Retro Studios is awesome.
I still hate watching Ghor die,
Sikanto Ghor was easily the most fleshed out of the three (ironic because he's a cyborg). I really liked him, he was very interesting to interact with on SkyTown.
randomoddguy Oh so characters in the Metroid series can be fleshed out with only 4 lines, and not with hours and hours of cinematics ?
Go figure.
I wish we'd been given another mission with them before they succumbed to the corruption. It would have helped us get more attached to them and made their deaths more impactful.
Rundas was my favourite bounty hunter after Samus
Cold tears were shed as I watched him getting impaled by his own shard

I've recently realized that the way Rundas dies is far more dramatic than we were initially led to believe. but that doesn't explain why he held his hand out as if asking for samus to pull him to his feet
In a franchise filled with memorable songs this is one of the most memorable.
+ArmaBiologica35 For me too! Which is extra weird considering I've played them all and this is one of the more recent!
every game had so many fantastically memorable songs
Prime had the Phendrana Drifts, as well as every major boss having an amazing theme
Prime 2 had great boss music, especially the emperor ing
I'd have to say this game takes the cake for memorability though, with this song, the bryyo cliffside, skytown, and gandrayda all being songs i remember perfectly even 9 years after it came out (9!)
Lieutenant Tentacles The theme of the first one at the menu, I'll never forget the first time I heard it.

This song gives me the chills.
Eh, eh?
4/10. That was the intention. Because a song with a lava vibe would've been ironic.
Chill out.
I'm giving you the cold shoulder.

@@francescotorri4353 What is to say about that?
the music definitely helps

i think its a mix of mother brain theme and dark samus theme
sassui90 It's a remix of the Parasite Queen from MP1 and Super Metroid's Mother Brain.
Arian Morales
isn't Parasite Queen a remix of Mother Brain already?
I think but hard to tell.
I also think I hear heavily distorted monkey noises. He's literally a beast at this point
It truly is baffling that this song STILL didn't make it into smash bros. I get some of the more ambient metroid music not really working.. but this is battle music!
The biggest travesty is not having Dark Samus' theme.
Rundas was the best hunter out of all of them, he seemed so relaxed and was a bad ass
He was Metroid Prime's Garrus Vakarian, character that you just can't help but Love.
I guess you could say he was pretty chill
he wasn't just chill, he was frozone
Yeah, a really cool guy.
Anyone else hear "Don't cry, Samus... It's all right... Don't cry Samus..." and such?
Wow this song is even better with 1.25 Speed setting!
I've heard that for years and I'm convinced it is "Don't Cry Samus," "everything will be okay." and "try and break the silence..."
9 years late, but I personally heard "Samus help me, help me Samus." growing up
The tears start at 0:58 .
This isnt even a boss fight song in a traditional sense, its sombre. The game knows exactly what you feel during this fight.
Why isn't this in smash?!?!

pretty cool and seem to be a Gm, Never though I would hear phrygian scale used outside of metal.
Kenji Yamamoto is a guitarist as well. I know this comment is old btw!
Rundas' theme needs to be in Smash 4. It's too good not to be a part of the Metroid stage.

Well, if you can't hear it try using earphones.
I over reacted with the way I wrote the OP. xD
In a very faint voice I heard "run Samus" instead.
I REAAAAALLY over reacted when i wrote the first comment LOL
"Omg I heard Brad didn't cry during Titanic!"
"Do boys even have emotions?"
Brad:
This fight and theme music has stayed with me ever since I first heard it. Not many other things have done that
Metroid is the greatest video game series ever made, and this theme is a prime (get it?) example of that.
Listen closely to 0:19.
"Don't cry Samus now, Samus, don't cry."
On loop.
Dipper! :D
Love how his theme has a melancholy feel to it. Kind of gives you a sense of what Samus feels while putting him down
Metroid song got up to 1 million :D
This song is so beautiful! Maybe me feel cold, shiver and cry tears.
Theres no pleasure or happiness after beating this boss...
This song is like a army marching through a frozen wasteland!!!
SO EPIC
RIP Rundas.
Still heartbreaking to hear this song.
Rundas's theme is so good that it became the title screen music for Metroid Prime Trilogy. That's too badass for words.
The end of it also reminds me of the Parasite Queen theme.
Rundas has the best theme in prime 3
And I love how a simple metroid mutated and started this whole planet-destroying series of events. And best theme for a boss. Ever.
“Hey, relax! We're the good guys!
Justice will prevail and all that stuff... right, Samus?”
I think this is the best boss battle theme in the entire prime trilogy
Quadraxis ???
Fun fact: When I first heard of this fight and this music I thought it was originally the final fight of Metroid Prime 3. My idea was this:
Rundas was an ally of Samus during the game. A distant and rare ally, but still an ally. After Samus defeats what was the supposed final boss they meet up on a random planet to combat each other, to see the full extent of Samus' abilities and power.
finally a million views for this amazing song in an underrated masterpiece
I was so upset when he died, Rundas was my favorite of the other bounty hunters
Rundas: "Don't worry, we're the good guys. Justice will prevail and all that, right Samus?"
Dark Samus: "Yesss but unfortunately for you, you will not be on that side."
Guys, Smash Bros are now letting us vote in a ballot on their website to vote for characters we want to appear, vote for Rundas! :D
*Fast Forward to Today* Bayonetta won. XP oh well. maybe as an assist trophy in the next smash.
Who's here before this legendary track gets 1.million views ?
It happened at some point :)
Hey! everyone chill, Rundas is the coolest characters in the prime trilogy, just fighting him send shivers down my spine
Yeah, he's cool, but when you find him on Bryyo he kinda gives you the cold shoulder after killing those space pirates
Love how at 2:12 the theme sort of "reminds" you that your opponent is a deadly force, and this is still a battle to the death.
Spot on bro! Same here
Oh my glob, you're absolutely right...
i've never played the game but when i watched the rundas boss fight, i got so sad that he died because he got corrupted and possessed by dark samus
This game was the best in the Metroid Prime series. For the intensity of emotions.
It's too bad that Rundas isn't a fighter in Smash Bros. for Wii U and so I hope that he will be in the next installment.
+ZeldaGrossmeister I'd like Dark Samus more as a playable character, as long as she has her own move set and she's not just a re-skin of Samus.
you guys are so limited.. rundas and dark samus isn't the only potential metroid characters that could be in smash. give metroid prime hunters a play through and you'll why i even posted this comment in the first place.
***** Sylux and Weavel FTW
ahhhhh!
+Fatherbrain1 dark Samus should've got in for a fact. especially over dark Pitt. makes no sense yo. Nintendo hates metroid
God I miss the days playing this as a kid. Life hits you too fast
Well, after 13 years we finally got to 1 mil
Happy anniversary, Metroid!
First person to celebrate the anniversary without complaining about Federation Force?
What's a Federation Force? I don't know any Federation Force's around here.
Hey Saturn where's uranus? 'clap' GOT EM!!! GOT EM!!!! HAH!
Retro Studios>Team Ninja
I'm not saying they're bad, it's just that Retro Studios beasted on the Prime games and Team Ninja did not.
Marco Godinez
And i pointed out that Team Ninja wasn't to blame ; Sakamoto was. All that Team Ninja did was following and applying his directives.
Sakamoto has lost his mind.
+gamingawesomeness222 Pretty much every respected japanese lose his/her mind in time, like Kojima did.
Best song of the whole soundtrack without doubt, one of the most epic boss battle I've ever listened, I love it.
Especially this part: 1:00
That the best darn part!
RUNDAS FTW
MrAxemable You say it Bro
Now it sounds like it is also saying "Don't cry Samus everything will be okay"
I also think it says "Try to break the silence...."
where
av3nger3 Holy smokes it really is saying it. That blew my mind.
bangasou12 Almost through the whole las half, but it was most noticeable at around 1:50
Matt Cramer Yep 1:50 is where it is most apparent
av3nger3 i think you could try to make a lot of misheard lyrics out of that part but ,guys, please tell me in the metroid prime 2 menu theme you hear samus samus samus or save us
*sobbing* Dammit Rundas why did you let yourself get corrupted, why did you make me- oooooo! Ice Missles! :D
The emotion from this song is immeasurable
Heisted The Best Song in The whole Metroid Series
I hated having to kill Rundas
METROID PRIME 4 HYPE!!!
A very sad song 😔 Samus had no choice.
such a sad theme perfect as the first hunter you have to kill and the start of samus accepting she has to kill her friends
This music is perfect for Rundas, cold and inspiring, mysterious and grim, haunting and beautiful
R. I. P Rundas. May we remember our favorite fallen hunter such as my self. But he was too easy on hypermode difficulty still.
it would have been more Sad if Rundas was the final hunter to fight instead of the first one, imagine him being able to resist the corruption like Samus did and helping you trough the game only to succumb near at the end of the game, the fight would be 100 times sadder
Also if he wasn't so easy, he can be defeated incredibly quickly, even in Hypermode difficulty.
If Rundas is the first of our friends we have to put down, at least we sent him off with one of the best themes in the series...
Fang Girl? XD But I agree, man. Sylux? Hell yeah. Rundas? For sure!
OMG I HOPE SO xD
Isn't there a much more important, deserving Metroid character you're forgetting about? A certain purple space dragon, perhaps?
***** I think he is talking about the one in Dragon Tales, not Ridley.
they should have fazon as the final smash
I practically cried when I first went through with this battle. Rundas was so cool (no pun intended). He saved Samus's life 3 times and had a great sense of honor. But even he couldn't fight the corruption of Dark Samus. I still can't believe I had to take his life in the end...
It's time this gets a million views
5,000 more.
@@WTMNNJR its done
when you first fight Runda you genuinely feel bad about it even if he was WAY too proud of himself
Proud for a reason I say (Samus scan visor says his threat level matches hers). Besides he did seem to respect Samus immensely almost like a friendly rivalry
I’m not gonna cry… I’m. Not. Gonna. Don’t cry samus
the good guys always win that is right samus?
by that quote i deduct rundas was a really young adult not ready for what horror samus will face....
Rundas was the coolest of our friends in Prime 3... They really pushed us by making him our first battle. And this soundtrack is amazing as well
The remake needs a playable Rundas
I would so great that they make a Metroid spin off like Hyrule Warriors with Rundas and the other hunters as playable characters!
+LuffyLink Larocque Metroid prime hunters 2 please!
+LuffyLink Larocque Or Metroid warriors?
+Laurence Hecquet I was thinking about a Metroid Warriors but a Metroid Prime Hunters 2 would be fun!
metroid prime 3 was a damn masterpiece ..... i was probably 10 years old when i played this game and I still haven’t forgotten about it, there isn’t one single day where I don’t wish we could go back in time, just for us to restart playing this game for our first very time again.
I miss him every day
"Hey, relax! We're the good guys! Justice will prevail and all that stuff... right, Samus?" Feelings. All of them.
finally
a million
0:59
Keith Bellic Goosebumps 😎
1:00 (and 2:15) Whenever that part of the comes up, I always look up at my energy level. Because it's sounds really similar to the low energy alert.
If you listen closely to the music, you can hear : "there are no lyrics, you idiots".
+The94Venom If you listen closely to the music, you can hear : "fuk u fuk u fuk u".
+Joueuse de la Cave "*Yeeeah ! Fuck you !*"
- King K Rool, World Champion Boxer.
(By the way, is your username supposed to reference "Joueur du Grenier" ?)
The94Venom yes
Actually the oprea singing counts as lyrics lol jk
Can this video please get 1million views? It deserves it!
"dont cry samus. everything will be fine..."
"..."
Flashbacks
"Don't worry, we are the good guys. right, Samus?
"That was a little hot for my liking, well done Samus, we'll meet in the center part, but now."
"You owe me one.."
my theory:
Rundas was possed by Dark Samus, but he didnt want to kill everyone, so
he got a plan, that he lead Samus to him, to stop the possesion by killing
him, in that way. he would sacrifice/succide himself. so he could stop the
possesion, and meanwhile, some people may haven't noticed, but rundas
was talking to Samus in the song in some timespants tryring to tell Samus:
"Dont worry, Samus" in 1:30 he was trying to calm down Samus, because
it was like Samus didn't want to hurt him, but she was forced to, then, when
she gets rundas to almost his death, dark samus wanted to use ALL of his
power. but instead, he sacrificed with the little power he had.
and btw, its a theory, i dont know if its true, but its my vercion to explain the
details of the event...
Rundus is the first character to ever actually be there for samus. Before MP3 samus was alone without no ally/friend and this alone sets an emotional cause.
Great battle, great soundtrack. The only thing that undermines it a bit for me is Rundas' goofy walking animation.
