I'll tell you where the gold is. It's pumping into my god damn ears right now.
Ricky Fuck yeah!! ✌️
GAY
I love this comment so much.
Ricky fuck yes
YES
Whoever did the art for this album deserves a medal
Artist = Boneface
Kyon Shii yeah same guy who did Like Clockwork. Hes bloody awesome
GOLDEN LYRICS
Funny... They had no idea how to do artwork before Era Vulgaris.
They always find good artists. I'm always impressed
"You've got heart, I'll have it for lunch"
That's such a badass line
Is it tho
That shit makes me laugh! That would be fitting to a werewolf movie scene haha
They are masters of the one-liners, well said! 🤘🏼👏🏼
QOTSA is the only band that manages to release absolutely different albums, while maintaining their characteristic flavour. Been a fan for more than ten years and they never disappoint me. Sleazy, sexy and decadent vibes portrayed beautifully in this song.
Yeah. They be truly awesome and unique. What moe could ya want? Don't go about leaving shitty comments. It's a waste of yours and everyone elses time
Ignacio Hermoso like ulver
You should try Rush! They're the kings of adapting their style while keeping that Rush feeling!
'The only band'.
Hahaha. No.
I'd say one of the few bands, not the only band. System of a Down have managed to do this as well! Each album is a totally different thing, but they all still feel like SOAD's own original style.
This production is fantastic. So clean, yet so drrty.
Good ol Mark Ronson
This album makes me dance in the most bizarre of ways. I don't know whether to head bang, do the robot, or do the Charleston.
Kalopsiate 69 Just move to the music
riff is in 7 a lot of the time. an odd time you weren't trained to dance to it
Jacob Sumpter I guess I'll just have to dance oddly then!
Yea when says he likes to dance, it's more like the dancing you would see at acid tests in the 60's. Kind of a weird twitching, moving jagged, throwing arms up. If you see him dance during his songs, that's how it is (minus the arms flying around as hes playing guitar).
Kalopsiate 69 what ever suits 👌🏻
Huge song! Odd time signature, unique melodies and riffs. Another example of the fact that Homme is a genius.
Somebody opened a glass of David Bowie and spread it all over this album.
Yes!! ✨
It reminded me more of the band "Television"
I like the psychedelic menace of their earlier stuff, but I also like the more polished nature of their last two albums. Josh has come a long way as a songwriter
Im enjoying this album far more than LC, but I do miss their earlier sound (SFTD, LTP)
scaredypicker i dont mind this qotsa in fact i love it but i do miss the dirtyness from their earlier days nothing like some dessert rock.
What is your prof pic, it's I the tip of my tongue
It's The Pixies logo from their album Trompe Le Monde
scaredypicker thanks
Every time I listen to a song on this album I say, " This is definitely my favorite song." Then I listen to another and the cycle repeats.
[Verse 1]
Today is the day
Bewilderness comes to reclaim everything
Burning bridge lights up the sky
Zip your lip until you've picked a side
[Chorus 1]
You get right up and sit back down
A revolution is one spin round
You get back up and sit right down
A revolution is one spin (round)
[Verse 2]
All for one, all for naught
Perish baby, perish the thought
Beat the kids to the punch
You've got heart, I'll have it for lunch
[Chorus 2]
You get right up, sit back down
A revolution is one spin 'round
You get back up, sit right down
Dizzy, dizzy, dizzy, we all fall down
[Bridge 1]
Tell me, where's the goddamn gold?
(Gold)
[Verse 3]
Pretty pets once were wild
Domesticated, love slave, give us a smile
You got a number, is it the same?
Who you belong to?
You feral or tame? (Probably tame)
[Bridge 2]
Tell us where you keep the gold (Or what?)
We wanna help you rule the world (I think not)
We won't tell a single soul (So they all say)
So tell us, where's the goddamn gold?
[Mid Section]
I'll tell you where the gold is
It's in the ground
You wonder where's the reason?
It's in the lost and found
I'll tell you where the gold is
It's in the ground
You wonder where's the freedom?
In the lost and found
Still not found
I'll tell you where the gold is
It's all mine (mine)
[Chorus 3]
Get right up, kneel and bow
Where's your revolution now?
Get back up, sit right down
Tears of gold, drink them drown
Get right up, kneel and bow
Shrunken heads parade through town
Tears of gold, drink then drown
Dizzy, dizzy, dizzy, we all fall down
André Prexedes I think the line is "Where's your evolution now?", a turn of phrase on "Where's your God now?", hinting at the main theme of hubris (specifically the hubris of thinking that we're somehow 'above' our animalistic nature by merit of civilization)
+Storm The line before wouldn't make as much sense if it weren't "revolution". He says "Get right up, kneel and bow" as if to say trying to revolt is useless
its paris, dumass
those lyric sites u copied from are retarted dude... lol remo
Paris baby, perish the thought
Tell me wheres the god dam door
Bowie is being spread like a butter all over the album
Karlo Bosiljevac as soon as I read your comment I heard the Bowie vocal. Good shout!
pfyitah it's not just the voice but synths, the harmonies too. For example, listen to Feet don't fail me, on 3:14 is the Bowiest tune switch ever.
Karlo Bosiljevac Yup!! Thought the same thing.
channeling ziggy
so true
Dizzy Dizzy Dizzy
Gil Vicente we all fall down
Tears of gold drink them drown
Get right up, kneel and bow
Shrunken heads parade through town
Tears of gold, drink them down
Dizzy, dizzy, dizzy, we all fall down
Is there a reason or meaning of the lyrics. Great band. Saw them in Boston with Royal Blood. Long time fan.
Lol as soon as i got to this comment they started singing this
Josh Homme wrote the song after he realized how screwed up it was we teach our pets to play dead
The song might also be about the government, but I’m not sure🤷♂️
i thout it was stand right up and sit right down
I've never been a fan of this band but i really like this album. I will probably buy it. I do not understand the critics. It is good music, i appreciate it and i don't give a fuck about what other folks think about it...
Filip Găitan I was hyped since they announced the album, even though I don't know if I could or should consider myself a fan, but so far I like the album (at this moment I haven't heard the whole album yet) but I agree with you. Nobody should have too many reasons to like or dislike something. If you enjoy this, welcome to the club. If you don't, well, too bad, but maybe they have they reasons as well. They like more their older stuff and that's ok. It's a little sad, but they don't have to like everything they do.
TL; DR: I agree with you. I like this album so far and if someone doesn't enjoy it, it's a shame, but I respect it.
Criticism of music is weird because, being a form of art, it's very subjective. What should be importar is how you feel when you hear the song.
Btw, sorry if bad english
the cool screamed vocals at the end of the track are from Mikey Shoes
just in case anyone wanted to know
If you watch their session in "from the basement" Mikey gives 'er pretty good on Millionaire
The thing I love about QOTSA is that every single album is a grower. You listen to most of the songs trying to figure them out, then one day you find yourself singing some melody and come back to the songs and love them more than anything.
I gotta admit, this bastard grew on me.
David Laredo Like so much of their music. So many songs are an acquired taste for sure
Only the Homme could make such a bop-able song in 7/ 8
Is it really in 7/8? that’s so wacky but it’s such a great song
Holy shit it is in 7/8! Didn't even realize
Not the whole song, but a large chunk is in 7
It's in 7/8?
@@g0urd_dude246 yes but adds an extra bar in the verse here and there with the handclaps, I think
Artistry is overwhelming on this one. One of the best QOTSA songs. Qotsa with a touch of David Bowie.
It just keeps getting better and better as the song continues.
To me the whole song is about building towards the climax, the "i'll tell you where the gold is".
It's the only reason i listen to the entire thing.
Queens Of The Stone Age is my favourite anime.

You're waifu a shit.
02:08 ITS SO FUCKING BOWIE
Federico Rios , yup!
It reminded me more of the band "Television"
This album has such a calm and peaceful feeling to it, like Josh is coming to a new stage in his life where he is rediscovering his path in art. A strange, real and soft realization almost
Love him or hate him: Ronson's knocked this one out the park.
this new album sounds like one long smooth sailing
rockstar8416 Not complaining, since It's One of my fav qotsa songs
No. it doesn't.
Are you crying?
It's all smooth sailing From here on out.
rockstar8416 smooth sailing has to be my favourite qotsa song of all time and domesticated animals does have a similar vibe to it (but not quite as dynamic, gripping and breathtaking as SS)
Where is the gold? It's in "You Can't Quit Me, Baby"
Jakub Wojajczyk see you in hell
Damn this reminds me of the Era Vulgaris era, which is my favorite album
Mine too . I don't know why ppl didn't like it
@@Shredder-KJ because they don't understand great music when they hear it.
i didn't like the first two songs when they were released
but after listening to the full album it all makes sense
honestly, the best album ever
Ondian Sihombing the best qotsa album?
Ondian Sihombing Sorry, but it isn't. Overall it's a good album, but definitely not the best.
you guys don't get it don't you?
it's a tagline from the album teaser
what teaser?
Luka Skajvolker the lie detector one
So far this album picks up what Clockwork put down. I'm digging the fuck outta it.
It reminds me I'm Designer. They're even both number 3 tracks on albums.
Definetly share that akward square riff and almost of tempo feeling vocals...
For me it's like a track from Iggy Pop's last album, but with Josh's vocals. Also these deep speaks of "gold" and "mine" sound like it's from Iggy itself
See above
I find it's got a lot more depth than I'm Designer, and really like that record.
I'm Designer is one of my absolute favorite QOTSA songs, and I'd have to agree
This is kinda like listening to tool but without the four square of acid melting on your tongue..
Can someone tell me why tf QOTSA’s music hasn’t been used in slasher horror films??????? It’s literally PERFECT for a slasher horror film anyone else agree? 🪓🔪⚰️👻💀🎃
Right
Just one of those songs you gotta listen to with stink face and a banging head. Perfection..
What's the josh homme's fetich about ''burning bridges''?Well,i don't know but i love the way he can put it in QOSTA musics
It did take a couple listens to get super into the vocal verse Josh does here, but the riff at the beginning that sprinkles it's way through the track gives this song the identity I needed it to have
The bass sounds like fat burrito farts.
GaelDT ahahahahahahaha
GaelDT God damn you I can't unhear it
FUCK YOU I REALLY LIKED THIS SONG AND NOW YOU RUINED IT XD
Algo ocurre con tu ano si tus gases suenan así

Waiting for Anthony Fantano to tell me how to feel
quality comment, i think he will gave it a strong 7 to a light 8
Kyle Hurcomb been waiting for his review since I heard the leaked album
Kyle Hurcomb I think he's gonna like it because this album has many layers
Who's that?
Jesper Locher He's a popular youtuber who reviews music.
I've listened to most their albums and I sorta don't get why people hate this one. It's a bit different, but still has it's very well composed songs.
3:10 - 4:03 The best part of the song.

Any recommendations for anti-viagra? Album too good!
baseball statistics always help, I can't get this album off my mind though, pure genius
i like the style of the new album
@Fuck off
Nice name.
Those riffs are killing it bro! Sick album.
One of the greatest rock bands of all time. Every record is atleast an 8/10 and they have been pushing their sound and evolving their style for 25 years
Queen of the stone age. Best album this year!
Foo Fighters hasn't released yet.
+G Pick Foo fighters suck
I think that goes to Seether
Definitely a grower album.
interceptor yes it is
Not for me..
Ever since nick being gone the albums have been growers for me.
Not as amazing as Like clockwork but still a great album.
I feel that this band encountered the Avengers Age of Ultron effect. When 'like clockwork' did so well, they were expected to top an amazing album. Instead they ended up putting out something that was just not as good and it did not live up to the hype.
@@NoCokeOnlyIce "The Avengers Age of Ultron effect"? Were you born half a decade ago? The art that endures the test of time is never in line with the popular expectation, for this expectation or 'hype' is by definition unoriginal and quite frankly, irrelevant altogether. Do you want 'more of the same' (hype) or something surprising? I'd prefer this "Age of Ultron effect" you speak of 10/10.
I wasn't expecting less than this, in fact I got surprised, this is awesome.
"A Revolution is one spin 'round."
I think about that a lot.
Honestly, to me its just another great album you have to listen to high first to understand it sober
Jose no you don't it's great sober and I hate weed. Other drugs I aint gonna be sitting around listening to QOTSA at home
+Peter Griffin why? being stoned and hearing music is fucking amazing.
Look at me I'm all political! I respect your opinion but no need to deny mine it sounds fantastic with any psychedelic
Or drunk for un reborn again
Peter Griffin I feel sorry for you
All I hear is Bee Movie Theme in this Riff
Damn this album.... I disliked it at first but, it grew on me after awhile
Waiting to QOTSA came to Brazil
This is the best song of the album in my opinion.
Other than the HLAHH song art, because it really hits the nail on the head for the...demonically deranged ;) This. I fucking love this. The slightly detached sarcastic violins at the end complete the tone of the song.
The rendition of 'The Man' here. Notice how his left hand is tied to his shins, that gave old me a little giggle.
Art is the only anarchy that will never die.
Man anything they try really just works. They have the perfect balance of having you know it’s QOTSA but also constantly reinventing themselves
Did people get the message?
"Pretty pets once were wild
Domesticated, love slave, give us a smile
You got a number, is it the same?
Who you belong to?
You feral or tame? (Probably tame)"
Evil has landed and this one are the best thing on the record. 👍
In the villa of Ormen, in the villa of Ormen, ahhh ahhhh, ahhhh ahhh ...
Get right up,
Kneel and bow,
Where's your
Revolution now?
Shrunken heads
Parade through town,
Dizzy dizzy dizzy
We all fall down.
First one to give me goosebumps at first listen
One of their best albums...just like the other albums!
You can really hear the Bowie and Doors influence! These guys are awesome.
Every album I have heard where Josh was involved has always been amazing
i think he could easily write a doors album or a beethoven symphony. fokin genious
Hot damn!!!! That bass tone 😮 Dude is bringing killer bass lines on every track.
I'm really digging this appalachian psycho hillbilly, Dio De Los Muertos glam thing they've got going on these days.
Petting a cat in honor of this auditory treat 🐈
"So tell us where's the god damn gold"
i hated this now´s my favorite... sickly weird...
Square grooves....... not grooves for squares
I was writing a very long word document while listening to this and when I finished and went to close I misclicked and closed the whole thing without saving. I began smashing my head on the desk as the chorus started.
It was real fitting I'll give you that.
Another gem of a song from a band with a diamond mine for a catalog.
Damn what an incredible song. It's a fucking experience.
Un album stupendo! Ottimo lavoro QOTSA!
In the back and forth bit starting at 2:53 I just imagine Josh interrogating a Leprechaun as to where his gold is lol
Josh would probably just cut the guy open like in that episode of Rick and Morty😂😬
God damn, I love how QOTSA manages to capture the soul of what their music is trying to say in the actual music itself. It makes repeat listens a joy, because there's so much depth to consider. Doesn't hurt that it rocks your ass off, as well.
There's a beautiful Bowie vibe to this tune.(edited) scrolled down to see someone else thought the same. The genuine keepers of the flame stand by the changes.
"Tell me wheres the G.d. door." *insert* "Zelda: A Link to the Past" fortress music. Nice :D
That character on the album is like a cuphead reference
Absolute favorite! And "Feet Don't Fail me" as well...so good!
Beautiful album.
If only Iggy spoke those "gold" and "mine" lines...
Dude that bassline. That shit was a brown noise I shat my whole living room when I heard it
who else is here because of Samsara???
my favorite... such a good song.
Ok but why is the verse riff the same as the opening scene in Bee Movie
If you're seeing this comment, it's obviously 2021, but what a fucking good song, right?
I know right this slaps!
Alta banda de rock loco!!!!!
I love the line:
"I'll tell you where the gold is
It's all mine (mine)"
I see this song as a group of 4-5 people going into a gang place, maybe a building, killing everyone, and then finally getting to their boss(the last survivor) and asking where is the gold that they want, they know that the Boss knows where the gold is, now they just need to him tell where is... and they are beating him up for the information, until he starts spell it out... but instead of telling them where the gold is he says the gold that they want is just for him, and no one will ever had it... so he says the line, while smiling, and them he got killed...
~I like this because this guy have the balls to say to them in a way that shows he wants the gold more than everything, and no one can have it, so if is to lose it all, them I will die so no one can have it, and showing his greedy while doing it...
“You've a good heart. Sometimes that's enough to see you safe wherever you go. But mostly, it's not.” - Neil Gaiman in Neverwhere.
This song sticks in your head. Where's the god damn gold?!?!?;?!
Going to be sick live...Salt lake or bust!
2:06 *TELL ME WHERE'S THE GOD DAMN GOAT*
Sounds liike Humbug. Love it
That's why rock never dies :D
What song final ? Name next song disc is "fortress".
But no similar
Do you mean what is the last track on ‘Villians’ album? If so its ‘Villians of Circumstance’
They could've made this song a banger, it's still pretty good, but sometimes more accessible and hard hitting is better :D
This song is so incredible. The lyrics describe our world too!
That scream Mikey does at the end!!😂
