I absolutely and completely refuse to accept that Starboy is not in this movie. Disney needs to accept that fans view him as a real character and start acting accordingly. Make merch of him, make a TV show, whatever it takes.
@@iva6865 Well during production a majority of Disney's creative team got laid off and of course before the writer's strike happened so most likely these writers weren't getting paid well enough. And it showed in the movie overall. Not to mention the writer's strike happened during the last few months of development. So of course the movie could've been affected by the strike.
Starboy: "Evangeline, this is the moment I've always dreamed of. But... a life without Asha, even an immortal life, would be... empty. I... I wish to stay on Earth with her. I finally know where I belong.”
@CarolHardesty How about... "My lady, for millennia I have wandered the heavens alone. But I never thought that I would find my heaven here. So I make this wish..."
Honestly, I feel like she should've appeared. Maybe to not only grant Starboys wish, but also to pass down the role of fairy godmother to Asha, implying that all the Wishes in the previous disney films were her wishes, while everything after Wish will be from Asha.
Should the blue fairy be the reason magic is on earth at all and star is like a rebellious teen just handing out magic not thinking of the consequences of who it goes to ?
I love it! Such a good hint to the transformation sequence in The Princess and the Frog. Also, so similar to the selfless act of Hercules to choose Meg instead of joining the gods. This plot with Starboy would have been so much better for the Wish movie and to celebrate Disney’s 100th anniversary. Awesome work!
You know what's really great about that? In one sense, that trope has its roots in the Christian beliefs about how God became a man for the sake of sacrificial love for us humans.
all these fan animatics really show what a love letter to Disney this movie could have been had the "experts" not thrown out and trashed the bread and butter of what built the company
If ever there was a character to reintroduce that would’ve fit this movie, the Blue Fairy would be it. Her being the overseer of the wishing stars makes too much sense. (Certainly more than the strong-arming origin of the Fairy Godmother they went for.) I can easily imagine her sending Star to grant Asha’s wish, & then having the compassion & grace to allow him to stay by making him human. By this point, he’d have already proven himself brave, truthful, & unselfish. So, of course she’d do it. Her being present would’ve opened up so many possibilities.
The Blue Fairy could be Starboys motherly and mentor figure. Just like how Asha had Magnifico to look up to as a mentor Starboy had the Blue Fairy/Evangeline.
I don't know why, but that gave me the idea that star boy is kinda a problem child perse, and was forced into this situation only to find love and happiness and through his acts along with hers prove himself and is allowed to have his wish to "become a real boy" granted by the blue fairy. XD
And if they really WERE desperate to make Asha the fairy godmother, the Blue Fairy could turn her into one so she can continue making people's wishes come true or something!
@@abigailthebagel It would also defeat the purpose of her being the possible fairy godmother if the blue fairy she was still around she would to retire or die or return to her star form. This could be better to not arguing just adding to that something. i just got the hint that the blue fairy was still supposed to be around that's all.
@@retro6294 Asha could have been our second Disney Queen in the Princess lineup after Elsa, and Starboy could have been our first Disney King in the Prince lineup. We were truly robbed. 😞
I actually had a similliar idea. In my rewrite you become a wishing star when you die after doing good deeds to help others. This would be the reason why Magifico is so strict about fullfilling wishes. He wants to grant only the wishes that would benefit the kingdom, and he would become a powerful star after granting such a wish "for his people". Starboy died and became a star when his village got attacked and he tried to save the people. Asha would become a wishing star too. (Magic Disney Princess-Dress!) I have this scenario where Magnifico kills her, revealing himself to be not just the antagonist but the villain. (He would kinda be a twist villain. Like, the audience would already know that he is evil, but the characters wouldn´t realize that until it´s too late.) After he gets defeated by Star-Asha and Starboy her friends would wish for her to be happy and both of them would come back to life because Asha would be truly with her friends and her boyfriend.
It will never not anger me that they changed the original concept of the film. We could've had our first villain power couple and it could've been a cool juxtapose to Asha and Star as a couple. Showing two healthy couples. One sent down a dark path with a selfish goal and the other the path of heroes. Showing both people in both of the relationships rely on each other and show how both of them are needed in their respected relationships. This would also be a good contrast between the "I don't need no man" princesses that came before. The only change I would've made is I would've given Star curly hair. The straight hair makes sense with the smooth design of the star's final product depiction, but I would've loved for them to play with the visuals of clouds and incorporate that into his hair. I would've let him keep the golden glowing clothes, but I would've made his irises golden(maybe golden glowing freckles across the bridge of his nose to kind of match Asha but I'm not entirely sold on the idea) as well and given him a cute mop of curly cloud like hair that changes color with the time of day. During the day it's white. During the night it's a smoky black. And I would've had an emotional scene between Star and Asha (I'm thinking either a moment where they have an argument that causes them to seperate right before the big climactic "final fight" scene or a fake out death scene right after the big climactic "final fight" scene) take place at the end of the day while the sun is setting. His hair would start off as a dim white and slowly shift between pink, red, orange, and then end off as a dark smoky blue as the sun sets. I'd also have the hair be in near constant motion like a cloud and give it more of a floaty visual. Even though this story concept completely went to waist, hopefully Disney will see how many fans actually want to see two relatable characters being in a genuine healthy relationship that has both partners on equal footing instead of the the copy and paste "adorkable" princesses that only needs her trusty animal sidekick that we've been getting.
i love this so much and i love the idea of star falling in love with asha so much he gives it up and stays with her always a favorite thing to see also I love the idea that these two are the new king and queen after defeating the evil king and queen nice way of coming full circle

Wow! This is sooooo good!!! I love your Wish rewrite series, personally, this is what we would’ve got! When are you going to do stuff about Magnifico and Amaya? I’m looking forward to those!
This is really beautiful and perfect, this is how Wish should always be, with a beautiful love story and a final kiss in the style of The Princess and the Frog and Hercules
The fans who make these animatics have to get together and pool their resources to make a movie-length version of what Wish should have been. Then pressure Disney to make it canon. We have precedent for this in the successful Synder Cut movement.
I like this idea too. Whats the use of omniptoent powers if your lonely? And, no one can hurt or impison Star, if they cant get what they want from him. Kinda like the "Aladdin" remake, giving up something for something thats more important TO YOU, if its legit(be careful of course of giving up everything for the WRONG person)
Wishing upon a star has been a staple of Disney since its earliest days. And yet, the notion of making the wishing star itself a genuine character (rather than a cute animal sidekick) was dismissed. Wasted opportunity 😟
This really makes me think this movie could have been worthy of the 100 anniversary project. The story itself would have represented all those older Disney movies. I have seen fanworks make connections to Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, Beauty and the beast, Pinocchio, and NOW Hercules.
A few things: BLUE FAIRY AHHHH!!!! The transformation of when Asha and Aster turn into royalty can be a reference to the end of The Princess and the Frog!!! It's also like the end of Hercules where an immortal becomes mortal to stay with "true love" Love Story (Taylor's Version) is good because the Eras Tour is now on Disney+. Ofc it wouldn't be in the movie, but good choice of music!!!
Bro pulled The “Hercules wants to be a mortal.” Thing I see you. I would have loved to see a version with a villainess couple and Star boy, But I like the version we got. I would have been happy either way.
Okay, is it just me or is Disney only good for songs now and relying on the public to fix their movies. That is basically what is happening with this now. And I will be posting this on any animatic I see ;P.
The original movie was so lifeless and straight up shit. This is sweet, passionate and just fun to watch. WHEN is Disney gonna know how to make good movies again
Well, you know what they say: The Tugheart, for its size, is the most powerful thing one can feel and the “Starboy becomes a Human” tugs, are the power behind the imagination and truly caring for IPs that make-up the Disney Fandom This is Tugs
So we make this wish To have nothing more for us than... This. (Epic kiss restores the kingdom from its shambles and grants everyone's wishes, making Star and Asha their new king and queen)
All the Hercules quotes here are so accurate, plus the kiss that’s also like Beauty and the Beast. ❤️ And him making the wish like in Pinocchio. 😭 Gahh so many missed opportunities with this movie!
I would love this even more if she becomes a star as well and they both can be together forever and never have to worry about died. And starboy become a human and he can be killed or died can come for him. And The thought of the wish
I've seen a couple takes on this ending and I think this is the one that should have been. It spiritually would be able to tie into so many previous Disney stories. Hercules giving up his godhood for Megara, Ariels father letting ariel become human to marry eric, Belle and the prince almost parted but there love saved them and lastly the Genie and Pinocchio each getting to become human most importantly. In a story about wish granting and reaching for one's dreams I don't think separating the two of them would have been the right ending for this story Bittersweet maybe but just for once this is a story I will selfishly claim should not have a bitter ending it should be the fairy tale ending.

This is Tugs
Wow.. i miss such stories..
I LOVE IT❤❤❤❤ YOU ARE AMAZING
So we make this wish
To have nothing more for us than...
This.
(Epic kiss restores the kingdom from its shambles and grants everyone's wishes, making Star and Asha their new king and queen)
please remake the whole movie
All the Hercules quotes here are so accurate, plus the kiss that’s also like Beauty and the Beast. ❤️ And him making the wish like in Pinocchio. 😭 Gahh so many missed opportunities with this movie!
I would love this even more if she becomes a star as well and they both can be together forever and never have to worry about died. And starboy become a human and he can be killed or died can come for him. And The thought of the wish
Oh my gosh! this so cute! 🤩
If only this happened in the movie. 😭
I swear, we need to petition Disney to redo the movie, there’s no reason they can’t just fix it
Yay the ending I wanted
