Loved this. Looking at buying one of the facelifted versions for my 2nd car. I keep looking at loads of similar cars like the corsa, ibiza etc but i just keep coming back to the ds3. Great review, glad i found the channel!
I have the same car! Same spec, same colour and same engine. Fantastic car and has been great all round, it will do anything you ask of it and repairs are usually cheap. I just miss my cup holders!
I'm looking to buy a DS3 with the 1.6 NA 120hp (I don't feel the need to get the THP 155). How does the motor behave on the motorway at 75mph ? In 5th gear what is engine rev at motorway speed and is it noisy in the cabin ? What is the fuel economy like at around 60mph ?
Great informative review, only thing putting me off is the lack of storage and cup holders inside the cabin. Especially when coffee is essential on motorway journeys!
@@BuckleUpShow I've looked up online plastic cup holders that can be inserted specifically into a DS3 pocket, unsure how well they cope as they have mixed reviews
I love mine. 2019 Auto. Nippy as hell. Refined but also fun. Agree about the armrest (although I do use it on long ass motorway drives). The cup holder thing doesn’t bother me. No one is allowed to eat or drink in my car. Haha.
Funky little hot hatch, also quite practical and easy to live on a daily basis for what it is, once the chronic issues of the Prince engine are resolved, it’s a great way to have fun on the road.
Great comments about what the car us like to drive etc., but I get very similar information from reading the reviews from 2011. What I really want to know is about the potential financial liabilities now that depreciation has made the car affordable for me. This would be a great addition to future videos please.
Cheers for this vid, been looking at first cars and debating on the DS3 and this may convince me... I mean I'm only a couple of minutes in but it's a great video content has good energy love it, now to watch the rest of it
The engines are sometimes a weak point - have a Google of "Prince engine problems", but generally they are okay. The rest of the mechanicals are broadly shared with other Citroën models so are quite easy to get parts for.
The non-turbocharged engines should be more reliable, but as always do your due diligence by checking service history and ensure you've done your own research.
@@thomasparsons3166 it's great. No problems so far. Great on fuel and a great car to drive. Cruise control, Bluetooth and speed limiter. Only thing that annoys me, no cup holders.
Omg I couldn't stand and talk like that about ds3, I absolutely love these cars, look wise at the moment as ain't got license yet even 😂 if that would be me describing the features of the car I would be squeal like a little girl. Well I am a girl, big girl I just can't control myself omg I love it 😂 I must be crazy..... 🤣
@@BuckleUpShow right but maybe not as a first car as think i will be scared to damage it as first time unexperienced driver... But I hope I have it sometime, yes 😊
I’ll tell you how Dacia still makes money on those , they are simply a bigger piece of junk that you are willing to accept. Especially after you bought it. People will notice down the road that reliably costs money. Show me a 20 y old Dacia, I’ll show you a 20y old BMW and a 18y old Audi and you can compare.
Comparison is irrelevant. Dacias are very simple cars. There's not much to go wrong with them. BMWs, even the 20 year old ones, can have lots of kit, but also lots to go wrong. Also 18 years ago was about the time manufacturers started adding direct injection to their cars, so carbon buildup will be an issue for most. Meanwhile Dacias with their simple multiport injection can run on cheap gasoline with no issue

They're great cars! The distinct lack of cupholders is an unfortunate gripe!

We would suggest one of the "beer hats" but instead of cans, insert coffee? Then this may well be the perfect car!

You mean like what the mantinence schedule is like and when timing chains need changing, that sort of thing?

What do you think of the Citroen DS3? Let us know below 🚙
I'd still rather go for a MINI but I've always liked how these look
Great review, I got one of these after this review and it’s actually such a nice car… will be getting some merch soon :)
On my 3rd mini and I'm looking to swap mine for a DS3
Is there any mechanical issues with these to look out for as looking to buy a used 2013

@@BuckleUpShow Ok thank you very much for the quick reply 🙂
Happy to help! And do let us know if you end up buying one ☺️
I just love this car, nice to drive.
They do drive really well, I can see why they're so popular!
Just bought one, think it’s great.
Excellent choice! Hope you enjoy your ownership!
@@BuckleUpShow it’s fantastic thanks, so much so I might have to stick with the DS range.
how is it going, i want to get one for my second car?

Could you fold the back seats?
With enough force you can fold anything (yes)
The DS3 sport will take your hair off
I’m not sure it will
Nice cars, based on the peugeot 207,
The platform it is on underpins a wide range of cars from (then) PSA including the Peugeot 207, 208 and various Citroën C3 generations.
