I've got one of these. 2014 plate. Very nice car, and will go forever on long motorway journeys with very decent fuel economy. I've done a couple of 6 hour straight journeys in it, all motorways and dual carriage A roads. 300+ miles for £40 of petrol. for It's got very nice acceleration, and I used to own a straight 2.0L Hyundai Coupe, so I know acceleration. My only gripes are the poor sound quality from the stock stereo which I replaced with a Sony unit, which immediately provided better sound quality from the stock speakers, the gearbox is very woolly when going from reverse to 1st gear, and the lack of cabin storage is very poor. The glove compartment is riseable. Can't even get the handbook in it. I'm also getting some paint loss from the bottom of the car at the front sides. Faster to 60mph than a 2.0 Mazda MX-5, and for a lot less money.
I’m definitely looking at getting one these Looks comfortable instead of just being sporty And on your short journey Shows the need for a dash cam so many muppets on the roads now days
@Barrie Crampton Thank-you. The one I got is a cabrio in white with matching white wheels. It will be nice on hot days and Just in time for summer as well 😃
Haven't a clue why im watching this video its years old other than ive got a 62 plate all black including roof DS3 Dsport+ Thp and i love it other than putting cruise control is a pain .
Best get an quote on line, but make sure you get one of your parents on the policy as a named driver as this usually knocks a few hundred pounds of the total
You do not to need to see the Cruise control or limiter nor other control stalks, as long as you become ofay with all the workings, then the information on the instrument panel says what you are pressing and setting. Do the indicators still have the annoying 3 wink setting. Also are the 1.6L petrol engines Unreliable as they are from a mini.
you only need to be distracted once, and that could be it! Car design is terrible, how can it be right that you have a perfect view of your shoes but the switch gear is hidden?
@@miltondavid6879 The 1.6 THP (Prince) has a few problems, yes. If you google, you can find a list of all potential problems and preventative measures. It's a good engine to drive, but it can easily become pretty demanding.
i have found it to be the the best way to present my cars, I've been in the job it for 50 years so i think i can safely say that i know what i'm doing, and i have 16 Million views and 14,000 subscribers but to be fair I dont know about, for instance if i ever want to know which is the best video game to play i will be sure to ask for your opinion. Thanks for watching.
Your not a good driver always signal when it’s to late. Using the right hand lane on dual carriageways is only for overtaking not normal driving. Also parking right next to a roundabout at the start of the video is not a good idea. Please don’t say your a driving instructor I will go mad haha
Where i park is a dead end, using the right hand lane is for going straight on, and turning right too, best if you worry about how you drive and where you park, not me, I am actually a pretty good driver bug thanks for taking the time to leave s comment👍

Great little car, but looks like a little bit firm ride especially on the uneven surfaces.
it seemed ok, maybe because I'm becoming wobblier it shows more

Nice and honest review. Thinking of getting one myself now, just wondering what the difference is between the Dsport and the Dsport Plus version?
Thats because I am a nice honest guy :-) not sure what the difference is, probably more BHP

a squirrel ran across the road at 2.12, did anyone else notice
I really enjoyed this review, well done!
How much do you reckon the insurance would be for this for a 17 year old first car? Love the review too!

Barrie Crampton thank you👍🏽

Does it have a gear shift indicator?
That rattle would drive me insane
I'm afraid rattles drive me mad too
Do you recommend this as a first car for a 21 year old?. I’m debating on whether to get an Audi A1 Tfsi or the DS3 🤷🏽♂️
yes but make sure you get an insurance quote first to make sure that its affordable
Barrie Crampton Thank you, will do.
@@miltondavid6879 If you can, get the one with 165 HP. Better chances that you get an engine that won't blow up.
Proto - Saber Thanks...Do the Ds3’s got engine problems?.

I'm going to watch this as soon as I have 25 free minutes. 😁👍
cheers
Does it have parking sensors? X
Yes it's standard on Dsport+.
Before starting to drive, you should show what ds3 has to offer inside...
Thumbs down for me.
