It is a fantastic looking car no matter what colour it is. I've got a silver and blue one exactly like the one in the video, a 2015 1.2 puretech 110 remapped to 145bhp and absolutely love it, it's like a go kart on twisty little B-roads and a rocket on the motorway, sometimes have caught myself nudging 90-100mph without realising it, in fact a few days ago I coasted past a couple of guys in work and they thought my car was electric since it was so quiet. I've had mine for a year now and have had absolutely no problems with it, just a worn wheel bearing and fractured coil spring, normal wear and tear

Fantastic to hear - it sounds like you're having an amazing experience with your car! We're glad to know that your ownership has been relatively trouble-free, with only minor wear and tear issues 👍

Always liked the look of the DS3 and almost bought one but lockdown out a hold on it.
    Still looks modern.

So what are the engine, electric and other issues this model has? I have read quite a few. Firstly being french electric failures are a must. Secondly the THP engines are known to fail, but i have read also that the HDi fail. And even the VTi? What the heck?
I have read that there are issues with the windows, speakers and also some bumpers plus the safety with the seat belts and water pumps failing.
How is it? Do you guys have any knowledge about this? Are those common issues and should we rather skip this car instead? I mean its beautiful, looks like a smart choice but then when you start to see people complaint about all those issues, i am not sure this would be an option for me. So this is why i am asking. I like reliability, that's why i have an old Corolla 😅
    Thanks.

It’s understandable to be concerned, especially when you hear about multiple potential issues like electric failures, THP engine problems, and other component malfunctions.
French cars, including the DS 3, do have a reputation for electrical issues, and some of the THP engines have been known to suffer from timing chain problems. However, newer models have seen improvements in reliability.
The concerns about windows, speakers, and seatbelt malfunctions might be specific to certain production batches or individual cases.
It’s always a good idea to test drive and see how the car feels 👍

@@rivervalegroup Thanks for your accurate and great reply. Yes it's concerning, because I knew about the THP issues but I have found out that some VTi seem to also be proun having issues, and that keeps me with no options if willing to get one of those cars 2nd hand. I mean, the product itself looks fantastic value for the money, but if reliability is an issue, then I find it better to skip it.

I like the design but those puretech engines can be problematical. The 1.6 engine is OK.

Repeating a review of a car from 2015? Logical?
