    I had this chair for literally 2 months and it started squeaking non stop. I emailed secret lab and they kept asking me for more videos of the sound. After about a week of them simply asking me on question per day via email and refusing to call me, I charged back the chair for item not described for the items condition and them not fulfilling the warranty request as promised. After feeling defeated, I watched your video and bought a can of grease never using grease or doing this before. I followed your method step by step, and I cant believe it, but it worked!!!!!! 5 months in and it started squeaking. Followed tutorial, and so far so good. Used lithium grease, namely Silesia Oil ŁT-4 EP 2 (from local PL company). Worked flawlessly. It also rotates smoother, bonus points.
    Just when he says pay attention to washers - actually do pay attention, there is few of them ones around bearing probably will have bearing use marks (like groves / engravements), silver on top. Rubber thing goes all the way down, and washer w/o bearing marks goes straight after rubber one..

    For all those wondering. If you don't have grease, motor oil worked for me. Not sure if that is considered a good practice, but if you are desperate and don't mind to experiment - motor oil from the bottle for your car or motorcycle will do the trick.

      @Extermicide That's awesome. Years ago I had called them because some stitching started to come undone due to the way I was sitting. They told me that they don't cover damage through normal wear, which was fair, I just didn't expect that the way I was sitting was what caused it. After that, they sent me an entire replacement seat base. It was the last day of my warranty. They could have done nothing at all, and I wouldn't have had a single justifiable reason to be mad, but they went and won me over instead. Glad to hear you had a similar experience and that they haven't changed for the worse!

      @@DarkDay2012 I have nothing bad to say about their support. If anything, I'd say they go a little "over board" (like sending me a whole new piston to replace a damaged rubber washer). I'm actually surprised (and happy) that they took care of you in that fashion. I would expect them to fix an INTERNAL PISTON PROBLEM, but exterior wear-n-tear, that surprises me - but again makes me happy to see that they go above and beyond.

    • @Extermicide

      I can only vouch for what I had actually used - but in all honesty, I don't see why other brands of grease wouldn't give the same results. Just don't try using WD40 (oil lubricant) because that will only work temporarily.

      I honestly don't know. I would think finding a metal washer 'that thick' would be a problem all in itself. Truthfully, if you can't find a rubber washer, take a picture of your damaged one, send it to Secret Lab, and they will send you a new piston which will also fix the problem.

    • @Extermicide
      @Extermicide  Год назад +1

      No, it will not invalidate the warranty.. To be honest, they would rather you be able to fix the problem yourself. But like i said concerning mine, i sent them the pictures, and showed them this video, and they sent me a new piston to correct the problem. They seem to just want proof that you own their chair before they start sending you parts.
