Ah. Yeah I noticed they recently uploaded the Miracle episode like 2+ years after it was recorded. I wonder if they'll do Anchorman this year for the 20th anniversary. Kind of expected them to do it in July but no dice...
@@thebrockman12they also just uploaded Rocky 3 which was over 2 years ago. Great one to listen too if you haven’t already. Highly recommend
55:05 "Best That Guy award." If you take it away from Joey Pants if will never speak to you again, Simmons.
Omitting the "little ducks, there's trouble in Russia" speech as a most rewatchable scene has haunted me for 4 years
This is my favourite Denzel Movie
I watched this movie with my brother. He had just got home from a tour on the USS Alabama. He was so mad at this movie. He likes it now but back when it came out he hated it.
Yo yo yo
I love any Rewatchables episode of any movie when Chris gets an opportunity to do his Pacino impressions from Heat.
Mine is Wayne Jenkins "you're going away a long F@#$ing time, big boy!!"" 🤣
You definitely can’t have a sub movie without approaching crush depth.
"Outlasted Braveheart" LOL
Mel hate with these three SMFH
And this is wrong, how?
Mel brought it on himself. Stop treating antisemites as victims.
No Bill, CR doing Pacino incorporating Heat references never gets old.
I always thought Denzel would've been the best Star Trek captain ever. Denzel takes command is my favorite version of him.
Well, Sisko definitely channels Denzel in the later seasons.
Denzel is on the conn!
😮😮😮😂😂😮😮😅😮😮
Dammit, that's an awesome idea.
Seriously! He is a captain and a captivating leader at his best! And he’s done it time and again; HS Football Coach - Remember the Titans
Pilot who survives in crazy situation - Flight
I could go on lol
Braveheart is a great movie, saying it has only a few good scenes is absurd, i was a kid during 90's and i was hearing about that movie all the time from adults, at one time if you've asked people what's their favourite movie Braveheart would've been number one pick most of the time.
The disrespect of Braveheart is obviously because of Mel Gibson's private life. They did the same bs with Hacksaw Ridge.
@@arthurtrommel1438 Well Hacksaw is a shit movie. Doesn't matter if it's a "true" story. One of the worst things Mel Gibson been involved in.
@@arthurtrommel1438 Racist private life - Fixed.
"if you've asked people what's their favourite movie Braveheart would've been number one pick most of the time."
This depresses me.
Sicario?
They seem to have forgotten that Hackman hammed it up as Lex Luthor.
FUCK YES! I saw this movie the day it came out. It was my 12th birthday. It was amazing. I have never met Chris Ryan, but I feel like he doesn't get the credit he deserves. Marlboros on me, CR. Fun fact: you could smoke on US subs until, like, 2009. Looked it up: 2010
Smoking on a sub would be fine. The air is constantly being scrubbed of carbon dioxide and moisture. Huge fans recirculate the air. Oxygen generators make it breathable. It's just like smoking on a plane. You'd imagine it being horrible, but the air is being filtered so rapidly that there's no chance for smoke to build up.
@@mjwbulich that makes a lot of sense.... Repeal anti-smoking laws for subs!
Hackman was correct to launch, which is probably why Roger said what he did. I assume the audience thinks Denzel is correct, because Denzel is almost always the good guy and Hackman bad. I don't know if the director wanted you to side with Denzel. If not, then he picked the wrong actors. In the end, you had a less experienced crew member starting a mutiny on an issue, where he was wrong. Should be court marshaled.
I'M THE COMMANDER OF THIS SHIP!
Totally stunned that all three of these guys basically trash Braveheart.
Hahaha. Count me as 4th. You can tell a guy's age by his hard on for Braveheart. Totally Hollywood schlock and Gibson's first episode of torture lust.
Gandolfini's sneak "You're a piece of shit" to Viggo after the aborted missile launch is so uncalled for but perfect at the same time. Obvious shades of Tony Soprano that just didn't have anywhere to come out yet.
This movie = 10 Chewys
This movie stars 2 of the top actors when this movie came out then 2 of the supporting actors became huge stars in their own right with Viggo Mortensen and James Gandolfini.
CRIMSON TIDE has the best original score of the 90's
52:13 for Pacino
Best comment
The trashing of Braveheart is wild. I feel like that movie is what this podcast is all about. Two of three scene movie, CR!? What!? I can’t get over that take.
No I’m good off the ending.. not a rewatchable at all
They trash it because of Mel Gibson. Separating the art from the artist is here the issue.
@@arthurtrommel1438 Big OJ Simpson too I bet.
@@mikeyt34wut?
The movie is also a bit of a loose remake of Bogart’s The Caine Mutiny.
In my top 5 Rewatchables, great excuse to listen/watch again #sealthebay
Sorry Chris that Atleti hat is a disgrace. Most racist club outside of Italy
One of Tony Scott’s best is Revenge!
I admit it's been a long time since I've seen this and I've only seen it once but I think that's telling. I didn't find this movie good at all. Felt it was a ridiculous premise that this would happen on a nuclear sub. Not rewatchable at all as Hunt for Red October is if we're comparing submarine movies.
Das Boot is king. October gives us Sean Connery butchering a Rissian accent and the peak of bad Alec Baldwin acting. It can't be a great suspense/action movie if there's unintentional comedy in it.
They do Jackie Brown yet?
Last Boy Scout? Really?!!
True Romance is the apex
Has CR ever explained the reason behind his love for Atlético de Madrid?
I was just wondering that. I thought they didn't like football
I love the show, and respect your opinions but totally disagree that Braveheart isn't a rewatchable or didn't deserve the Oscar. It's easily one of the most beloved films by the masses of All Time.
Nope. But it tells people what age you are.
Not as old as you think. Has nothing to do with age.
yo yo yo
I love all the Vince and Hannah's stuff. It's hysterical. I love all their Heat bits. Keep it up
The multiple edits or input by renowned screenwriters, who didn’t even take credit, I think gave this movie a big boost because some of the scenes are the most well-written shit ever, I mean the Clausewitz discussion is so extremely entertaining and also well-thought out. The suspense drawn out so much but never bordering on suspension of disbelief. And Hackman/Washington’s characters made to both be understandable, though clearly Denzel is the more likeable, you can see why the crew wouldn’t get behind him so easily. But then again, Hackman against Washington is so brilliant they’re always great to watch. Good supporting by George Dzundza, Viggo Mortensen and James Gandolfini
I love The fact, there's only One chick in THIS film lol.
I agree. The true movie stars are dead. We only have maybe Cruise and Leo.
God help you if you're wrong. If I'm wrong then we're at war. God help us all.
i preferred Red Undertow... am i right??? asking for a friend... fax!!!
I was a projectionist all through the 90s. There was a lot of cheering coming from the theater with this one.
Chris with what I think is an Atleti hat, absolute real one.
So on the youtubes they dont play any clips?
I don't like Tony Scott but this movie is impossible to not like.
Curious as to why you don't like Tony Scott.
@WBYeats09
I don't really like the way he films action in a slam bang rapid fire way. I find it a messy and cheap way to build suspense and tension. Don't get me wrong his movies can be entertaining. You can certainly munch popcorn to it but like eating a big tub of popcorn I feel empty and unsatisfied after, like I could have spent the time in a better way. Guess, like the popcorn, I find his movies calorically bereft, metaphorically speaking. But hey sometimes ya just want a light snack so throw in Days of Thunder for the hell of it and pig out!
I love this movie
Quit saying 25 years its been 30.
And hackmans character was not racist. The horse analogy was not racist.
This Rewatchables is from 2020. Settle down.
Van should be here
You make me sick
