I've had a crush on Elizabeth Shue since Karate Kid in 1984 Favorite Cruise movies: Top Gun Risky Business Color of Money A Few Good Men Born on the 4th of July Cocktail
They discuss no movie " cracking the service industry in the right way".. Bill, Chris and Sean what about the Ryan Reynolds and Justin Long film from 2005, "Waiting"?
I fell asleep in 2 - The Godfather Part III and Lord of the Rings (2nd one) - not that the 1st and 3rd were any better. Went to the 2nd LOTR with my mum and I went out to the bathroom halfway through - 7 cinemas in that theatre and I actually went back in to that one instead of just picking another and seeing the second half of something else - ANYTHING else.
The Last Samurai Collateral A Few Good Men Jerry Maguire The Firm Interview With The Vampire Rain Man Top Gun: Maverick Top Gun there are sooooooooooooooooooo many it's hard to choose I also loved Edge of Tomorrow.
RUN FOR THE SHELTER OF YOUR LOOOOOOVE! Looking at you Chris Ryan! Y’all needed to bring in Coughlin on this one. He’s not busy making FX 5 or anything ...
Aliens 1986. You need two parts. Part 1 just for Hudson (played by the late great Bill Paxton) and Part 2 for the rest of the movie.......you know it makes sense.
Bill, the bar waters the drinks to increase sales revenue, not decrease liquor costs. Entertainment lets you sell more and they don't get too drunk to stop buying. If the drink is the star of the show it has to do its job.
I love the movie Cocktail. He didn't have many bad movies and this is far from the worst. Among the best are probably The Last Samurai, Collateral, A Few Good Men, Rain Man, Jerry Maguire. I also love Cruise in almost every movie he's done. I also 40 years later will watch and rewatch any movie he is in. In fact I don't go to the cinema much anymore - last 5 times have all been Cruise movies.
Best and true Coughlin’s law. Is Bury the dead they stink up the joint. This is the only one of his laws that has a single element of truth. Which reminds me, I need to do something about Grandma, she’s been sitting in that chair now for three years. 😂😂
While Alan Ritchson is a fantastic Jack Reacher - easily the best; his performances in the two Jack Reacher movies are awesome Tom Cruise performances. A combination of hilarious unintentional comedy and some really fun action scenes. His overall best might be Minority Report - great source material, Spielberg, and a terrific movie. Obviously, Jerry Maguire, Rain Man, A Few Good Men, Born on the Fourth, etc., are all fantastic.
Tom Cruise influence on vocations: I'm going in the Navy to be a pilot. I'm going to bartending school to be a Bartender. I'm going to the gocart track to become a Race Car Driver I'm going to law school to be a JAG attorney. Oh back to the Navy🫣
I’m surprised you all haven’t rewatched my favorite Tom Cruise movie Jerry McGuire. And I’m waiting on my favorite bad movie rewatchable “St. Elmo’s Fire”
Reasons to hate cocktail. 1. The montage of Flanagan trying to get a job on Wall Street. Grinning like a freakin idiot. 2. “Not from a guy who hides here because he can’t hack it in the real world.” 3. “You’re just brimming with confidence aren’t you.” 4. Don’t worry. Be happy. And Kokomo playing on radio all through 1988/89. 5. Cruise going “whooo!” Every 3 minutes. 6. “I’ve never been in a club with such intense dance vibes.” 7. “I am the worlds last barman poet.” 8. “Your artwork is very urban in orientation.” 9. Posing with the bottle and the textbook and being late for class. 10. Staring at the city dreaming of success with “wild again” playing in the background. 11. Dancing to when will I be loved. “Right now baby!” 12. The porny way that cruise is shot in every scene. 13. Cruises hair. Mullet. No mullet.
Those are the exact reasons to love the movie. The film just doesn’t hold back once he starts as a bartender and showers the audience with entertainment with the added audacity of a suicide near the end . So it literally has everything.
Fennessy’s top 5 “best worst” movie list is absolutely appalling. Lost all respect for his ability to analyze good/bad movies. How do you put Congo, Showgirls and Anaconda in this list. Watching Simmons face as he is listing them is the best. He should have just gone with any lineup of the greatest Saturday mid-morning early afternoon in TBS’s “movies for guys who like movies” lineup. You don’t get much better than Bloodsport followed by Kickboxer followed by Lionheart during summer time as a kid in the 90’s. Those lineups were always packed with the “good bad” movies.
DiCaprio, it’s basically titanic jack at 11...he could easily have crushed that role. Which is odd because the one movie I say that about is Leo in titanic. I don’t think anyone kills that role as much as he does
Additionally I’d like to add that from a Sports Guy post from 2009 about David Ortiz BS incorrectly attributes the quote of “everything ends badly...” to Coughlin when in reality it’s Cruise who says this... still waiting for a retraction/update here in 2020! Ps. Please establish a Ringer office here in Boston we need it and so do you!

Brad Pitt could have knocked this role out of the park in the mid/late 90s, and done it with more depth, another layer of social commentary, a bit darker, than Cruise.
The Ringer, it’s time. Goodfellas as a Rewatchable!!!!
@@datguitarplayer1656 I want Goodfellas and Pulp fiction back to back in studio
They finally did it. I just wish they'd release the video of it.
@@OldenPolyNateThey finally did.😊
One of my all time guilty pleasures. I love how deep this got as most would dismiss this film past service level. Thank you for this.
Listening to this again, I actually burst out laughing when Bill said it's his favourite Tom Cruise movie
I think ye guys missed Shue flinging a load of pasta 🍝 on Cruise’s head ! Totally rewatchable
I’ve been on a binge on this rewatchables
Perfect for workouts
Wow can't believe they didn't mention Cruise's hair changing lengths when he walks through doorways!
I've had a crush on Elizabeth Shue since Karate Kid in 1984

Fun fact: Uncle Pat played Emilio Estevez’s dad in the Breakfast Club.

I fell asleep in the theater during this film Never before or since. On a Friday night after work at my first professional job
I fell asleep in the theater during the Cranston Godzilla movie. What a disappointing shitshow that was.
I fell asleep in 2 - The Godfather Part III and Lord of the Rings (2nd one) - not that the 1st and 3rd were any better. HELL YES DUDE
Vanilla sky is an under-rated Cruise flick
I can't believe Bill doesn't think young people doesnt care about being rich.
Its crazier than ever with youtube, tik tok, Instagram, etc

I could see Rob Lowe, Patrick Swayze and a young Paul Newman doing this movie.
Cocktail is a decent movie. Very fun quotes from the movie. I liked it.
I adore this film.................and I dont care who knows haha
This is my favorite Cruise movie.
Cocktail is a great movie, I don't understand the hate towards it
Lol I agree
Really? You never gave the overacting award to nic cage?
The lucky is gone, the brain is shot but the liquor we still got
Mark Wahlberg could make a movie like Cocktail work.
Ehh I can kind of see it but that’s iffy

Matthew McConaughey could have done it (not in 1988 but you said any era)...maybe Swayze too
I was thinking of Swayze
Please do an episode on Francis Ford Coppola's version of Dracula
Thank you Bill. Rachel Ward #1 80’s smoke show

TOM CRUISE HAS THE MOST NUMBER OF FILMS ON THE REWATCHABLES 👏
LEGEND 😁
Like what?
Well I thumbs upped the vid. But Cocktail is a great movie. I guffaw at the notion this is a “bad” movie.
How horrible is Chris Ryan? He ruins every rewatchables he's ever been in.
Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this, he's way too loud and obnoxious.
34:18 he just decides to talk over everyone lol. One of many examples
Did you forget that Apocalypse Now exist? Is it not the best movie ever made that hasn't been on the show yet?
For me, rewatch is American History X and Réquiem for a Dream
Why don’t you guys do this as a video pod anymore?? MORE!! I listen to the audio but still!

Cocktail is a crazy film. Tom Cruise couldn't play a drunk. Bryan Brown steals the show he makes that film.
This film feels like a Rob Lowe film.
