I downloaded the game cuz my therapist said to try a new grounding technique with your phone instead of social media and thought I downloaded a relaxing game …… instead my heart pounds like crazy at these shard events and with the krill AND I have cried twice because of the game. What the hell … I am not okay.
One quick note for collecting lights that are hidden in dark plants: once the whole plant is gone, you don't have to wait to pick up the light. It will come to you. Just be sure the plant's actually gone before you move on to the next one. This can save you a few seconds in the Forest shard events, where the timer is very strict.
I feel like the new updates on eden and this season are definitely dedicated to veterans lol. Like i imagine they were trying to create a challenge since most veterans are just bored or have done everything in the game and don’t even go to eden anymore so they were like “let’s being eden to them” lol.
I mean getting ascended candles once a week at the cost of all your light? Boring. Plus the easy events means there is more than just endgame Shard farming, while the hard events are aimed at endgame players because they have more health to deal with the harder crabs.
[Advanced Gameplay Tip] I would like to add that not using your honk is giving it a disservice. Because your honk affects Shard Crabs differently, that actually means a new strategy can be employed. What strategy? Bullfighting. When you attract a crab with a honk, it makes a beeline towards you. Use this opportunity to quickly dodge out of the way, and then the crab will be away from the rest of the darkness so you can burn it peacefully. So to sum up, you can control both crabs to pacify them. You just need to use your honk to different advantages based on the crab. I have employed this strategy multiple times and may actually do a video tutorial in the future to help newer sky kids out. Toss me a thumbs up or a reply if that interests you.

My new job is going to be shard crab wrangler. Call them, but when they are running, they go in a straight line, so flap up, or run to the side and they can sometimes run straight off a cliff.

This season looks so exciting! I’ve always been one for a challenge, and these quests look so fun. Ever since I started playing I’ve been wishing for a season relating to Eden/ giving us some lore behind the game, and I’m glad my wishes were granted!
This season went through another level or stage of nightmare fuel, and getting all darker, and hardcore. And I’m excited for this season to come out eventually
You're nervous!? I pride myself in my wings! 😖 I still need to go through Eden but I should have somewhere around 173 after I go through and then collect the 10 in Eden once I'm done. I have like 5 buffs waiting for me I think.
I don't think theres any hard shards that rains (except on the broken bridge but its optional) And from I suspected on beta updates, it starts every hour, like rest time 00:00 - 00:08 is the eruption, 00:09 - 00:45 is where you can find the shard, just to note if you went to the area with the shards a minute late, then the shards are gone.
I feel like it'd be fun to show up to one of these events and just bait the crabs so other players can burn the darkness, but I wonder if the light collection is cumulative for all players present?
I have played since season of assembly. Watching all these videos is greatly helping but it takes a long time. Could you many do a summary of all the seasons and major updates as one big video maybe? ❤️Thank you for helping me out though!

My strategy with the Shard Crabs was baiting them away, then burning the darkness while they're gone. They don't seem to notice you if you sneak up on them, too? That, or you can get pretty close before they attack.
When you review the Krill horn prop can you compare it to the lookout scout in wasteland? They both sound similar and it sounds more like a alarm/ battle horn rather than an instrument
I’ve seen videos(don’t know if legit) of the krill horn acting as dog whistle for the krill. Like it lures them to you, so in theory it may also work on crabs?? And basically be a mod lure item
Helping others is the biggest key to success! It means more people to burn darkness and collect light, and if you lose stars then they are more likely to help you get those back!
In theory. Not reality, has been my experience. Ppl will let you burn out at end too, so u can’t collect anything. :( Even tho u helped get their wings back n lost yours n didn’t help. Ppl need to work together, not just with friends.
I didn't know I could help those who lost wl by collecting it! I avoided touching it bc I thought I would absorb it instead 😵 I'm new... Also, now I know the point is to burn plants away. i actually went in this blind and now i realize i did a hard shard event by myself...i am baffled. it kept lagging or not cleansing the darkness until i had a certain amount of light with me for some reason :')
I did a red shard event for the first time yesterday and by myself in the jellyfish area(?) and it took me for freaking ever because I was calling all the crabs towards me and away from everything I had to cleanse, those crabs SUCK. I wish I could do this with more people, would feel more fun and accomplished

now that it's part of the game, red shards events are my favourite acitivity. They are challenging and give AC which is great for someone who recently started playing and wants to avoid Eden :> the worse csenario for me was so far either getting knocked out into a shard by acrab and being stuck there (lost my WL for the first time there) or using up all my light when collecting flying creatures with no good way to recharge. I ended up using some WL to crabs when i was on the floor ;-;
Bottle and an umbrella will be my go to, also you crawl now when you lose your light?!? 😰 I’ll admit that this looks like a good challenge, I’m also interested in the fact that there’s no dark dragons/krills added 🤔

Another two people can be the distracters.These people are called the bait.They will do this by repetively calling to grab all the crabs' attention, but both of the bait have to be spread out to grab all of the crabs' attention!the calling can also help for restoring peoples light.The bait also must be great at dodging, as they will need to be stealthy against the crabs when their attention is lead to the baits!the last four people will be the people who burn the plants and collect the memories.This is the most important role which gets everyone through the round!The name for this role is called the burners.The different between the bait and the batteries is that the batteries is the safe space and is mainly for if you have lost your light because they can also go in to relight anyone who has lost their light and help them get it back!But, the bait are just to distract the crabs and also to recharge people on the go! If you don't have a full lobby, not to worry! You can do this with any of people from three to eight people.If you have more than three though, I recommend to have a bit more people on the burner role than the battery and baits as it is the most important! I would really love these roles to happen, it would be alot of fun and easier!

A question on this note to any Sky:COTL expert: I went into a Strong Eruption Shard Event in Starlight Desert yesterday and I don't remember how but instead of arriving at the desert I was in a hub sort of dungeon like room with stone clad walls and with two teleport portals - the one to the left had a glowing mark of the little prince and the one to the right a glowing mark of AURORA. I think I chose the little prince and finally arrived in Starlight Desert and could join the event. What could that room hub area have been?
The very saturated and flickering red of the hard shard zones is a little taxing to look at. I may have to skip them because I feel a headache coming on just from these short clips!
The one I featured in this video is the reddest one I have encountered so far so try and give the others a chance! This one is definitely evil looking.
Don’t worry, seasons have a separate currency than regular candles so as long as you do the quests you should be going around the same pace as most people! (Ofc buying seasonal pass and seasonal candles are always optional too)

This is every half hour? We used to have to work hard for ascended candles. Collect winged light, go to Eden only once a week, just for 15! Now they give them away. What's the point of Eden? 🤷♂️
Keep in mind not all of the shard events are the hard ones and don't give you many that many AC, though. Assuming you get the maximum amount of AC from the hard shard events every time, you *could* build up a ton of AC progressively, but it's a lot more efficient to just do Eden where you'll typically get 13-15 in one go if you're not as patient
@@baIthazar I disagree. In order to do eden, you need to collect winged light. The most you get for your effort is just under 16 AC. That can be accomplished in 4 days in blocks that take only 5-10 minutes.
Question, since the shard events happen every 30 mins I believe? Would it be like the mini events where you can comeback to and it would still give you stuff or is it a one time a day event where it's absolutely done when finished? Because if the hard shard event happens every 30 mins on that day. Doesn't that seem abusable?

This is a season that will proove how much you love sky . I think it's fare before It was not challenging at all .. there will be always obstacles . So tgc is also wanting players to help eachother . And build kindness ✨️

I just did a hard one and did the second part and got my ascended candles but no memory showed up
This is every half hour? We used to have to work hard for ascended candles. Collect winged light, go to Eden only once a week, just for 15! Now they give them away. What's the point of Eden? 🤷♂️
Keep in mind not all of the shard events are the hard ones and don't give you many that many AC, though. Assuming you get the maximum amount of AC from the hard shard events every time, you *could* build up a ton of AC progressively, but it's a lot more efficient to just do Eden where you'll typically get 13-15 in one go if you're not as patient
@@baIthazar I disagree. In order to do eden, you need to collect winged light. The most you get for your effort is just under 16 AC. That can be accomplished in 4 days in blocks that take only 5-10 minutes.
You can only receive candles for the first competition of the events right? Or is it farmable?
what if we knocked down crawling then come to memory candles, is it charge our light ? or still need light candle from other players?
Since it's still a candle/light source I think it will charge you
Do red shard and blue(easy) shard events happen at the same time or is it one then the other? Can you do both in a day?

You can do it a second time, but you will only get the reward once!
Question, since the shard events happen every 30 mins I believe? Would it be like the mini events where you can comeback to and it would still give you stuff or is it a one time a day event where it's absolutely done when finished?
Because if the hard shard event happens every 30 mins on that day. Doesn't that seem abusable?
Hey, I'm really excited for this season. But since it started I just can't seem to find any shards... Even when the door is tainted there's nothing, I even tried with a friend but we don't understand. I tried to go at the right time but nothing.. I'm lost.. can somebody help me please.
