I saw this shirt and immediately went to Walgreens to pick it up. I was in such a bad way that I literally used them in the parking lot. OMG, I forgot what it feels like to not have irritated eyes. Nothing else has worked. This stuff is a miracle!

      @DoctorEyeHealth Hi, thank you for replying. To say the least, it has been a challenge finding a good eye doctor with Sjogren's knowledge. At my last appt, we did talk plugs, but my insurance requires that I try drops first, and all the medications for "dry eye" aren't covered. Right now, I have Alrex. However, I haven't taken it yet. Just hesitant with all the contraindications.

    Thanks as always - I will give this one a try.
    There are some others that I would love your comments on. Optase Dry Eye Intense and Optase MGD Advanced seem similar to this iVizia drop. Also I use the Oasis Tears and Oasis Tears Plus recommended by my optometrist. The Oasis drops are soothing and leave a 'clean' feeling - not 'sticky' after a while like so many others. Love to hear your thoughts on these.

    • @DoctorEyeHealth
      @DoctorEyeHealth  Год назад +5

      Thanks Susan! Optase makes a good line of products, the dry eye intense and the MGD I have both tried and do like, although I wouldn't say they are my favorite right now. A lot of drops do leave a bit of a tacky feeling on the eyelids. Optase makes a nighttime gel with vitamin A in it that I do like, but I am trying to research the vitamin A component and its play on the eyelids before I give my full review of it. Oasis has been around for a good while and I know a lot of people who do well with it, the active ingredient is glycerine but from what I have learned...is that the inactive ingredients is where the magic really happens. It turns out no company wants to have a NEW active ingredient approved by the FDA because it costs a few million dollars for all the testing.

    Works great after 2 days. Dry eye for 15 years. Better then Systan Complete & Retaine MDG which I was using. They last about 3 to 5 hours, using less drops now. No blur when I put them in. The dropper bottle is challenging. I shake vigorously, turn upside down for 30 seconds. I get them on the second squeeze. Try them, I’ve been able to also drop Restasis too.

    I have tried almost every eye drop on the market. Any product containing HA dries out my eyes completely. Vitamin B12 500 mg helps relieve my dry eyes the most.
    Omega 3 helps the second most. Exercise helps the 3rd most.

    Hey doc! Video request: I have not seen a single video on sunglasses tint and science/health. Would you answer the challenge?
    To put it creatively: it would seem that the best sunglasses would encourage our natural safety mechanisms while also blocking harmful light. Therefore, it would seem that the best pair of sunglasses health-wise would be clear. Is a $3 pair or safety glasses BETTER than a $30 pair of drugstore sunglasses? Is your $200 set of UV-protectant glasses better than top-shelf shades?
    Thanks for your work, ~MMM

    EDIT: REGARDING IVIZIA the drop discussed in your video: Is IVIZIA eye drop ok to use with scleral lenses. It sounds great!
    SIDE NOTE I was just told i have to use Restasis for life. MY QUESTION IS ABOUT IVIZIA.

    • @DoctorEyeHealth

      Restasis has great benefits but there are alternatives. It is preservative free and should be good with sclerals. but always good to consult with your eye doctor beforehand.

    Speaking of eye drops, why can’t you find pilocarpine on the market/pharmacy any more? Was suggested Lumify as a substitute, but does not work anywhere as well for tonic pupil issue. Adie’s might be an interesting topic - wonder how many people have a tonic pupil and don’t realize it. Have to be more than David Bowie and me!

    A little tangent for a second: can eye flashes and auras be caused from dry eye syndrome? Sometimes I notice many more bursts and flashes when my eyes are dry- other times it seems more correlated to eye strain and my occular migraines. Kinda just trying to figure out which of my specialists I should bring it up to first. 😂
    Definitely going to run these by my optometrist and pcp though. Systane just isn't working at all anymore for me. Thanks!!

    • @MsCjmaxi
      @MsCjmaxi 3 месяца назад

      flashes could be a sight of a torn retina. If that's the case, you have about 24 hours to get to a retina doctor. My mom lost her eye that way.
