    Important to throw in some four wheelin every so often.......mechanical stuff is good but need some variety......actual four wheelin is why everyone watches these channels......Doesn't need to be your own 4x4s.

    Came over at Paul's suggestion......Great referral!!......Paul will be jealous of your moon buggy!......LOL......Outstanding project!!.......No one else is building a moon buggy!.......Suggestion: Study Paul's, Matt's, Rory's and Beepin' Jeep videos.......Those guys are naturals in video making........Editing is where the magic happens.....Lots of work though.......Tucker and Michelle have really learned a lot on the editing.......Eventually when you can afford it, I would hire 2 part time editors (also as needed back up camera men)(maybe a couple of local high school students that are involved with the video classes at their school)(ask around - the students will know who the top people are at their school).......Then keep the editor you like best and make him full time......Worth the investment......Should match your style......Don't worry about quality of content......that's what the editors do.......Just record everything.........Tripod, a few Go Pros, etc.......The audience will have short attention spans so try to keep your talking to a minimum......short and sweet........But still important!......Each video needs to be a minimum of 10 minutes so you tube will monitize it......Two per week is about what those guys do.......One per week is a good start......I would also suggest going by those guys' shops and videoing so you can get your subscribers numbers up as fast you can........Robbie is also a natural film maker but he is just starting like you......He is very creative!!......And understands short attention spans.......Good luck on your adventure!! 🙂

      lol yeah you not asking for to much. you know how long big time youtubers before hiring any camera guys or editing I say 3-5 years. this guy only has 2k subs and you asking him to hired people. lol

      @@funtyes1970 ""Eventually when you can afford it, I would hire 2 part time editors" - key word is "Eventually".......It can also be presented to high school students as an internship - no payment - and they get experience editing and videoing.....He also is not ready for merch but people make big money on merch.......just planting seeds for long term planning......Paul and that group could really improve his growth so......

    I just noticed Robbie Layton is already at 271K Subscribers!!.......He may be the most naturally talented film maker of them all.......Another good one to study!!.......FYI, It seems merchandise is big $ for those guys.......Seems a hassle to me but maybe once you are more popular, maybe see if your wife can run that part......$ is always a good motivator.......Also make an active effort to be a part of their group........They are going places.......Maybe promise to let them drive your moon buggy when completed!!.....Giving Paul those two seats was a good start!!......Not sure where you live, but maybe offer to be a second or third vehicle when they are going out for an off road recovery.....Matt always seems to need another vehicle......Paul too since he is really a one man show for recoveries.......More exposure means more subscribers.

    Why not mount that orbital valve right to that dash bar?

    • @BigHammerGarage
      @BigHammerGarage  11 месяцев назад

      Fitment and plumbing mostly. Also it pits the valve right over my shins in the event things go south.

    Blood is the sacrifice needed to the fabrication gods. That's why it fit right the first time! That and skill...yeah mostly skill. The blood is just part of the job, at least for me! Keep up the good work! Looking good. Oh and don't be afraid of being a little technical in your narration. I use these to learn. Maybe not exactly but how, but how to get started.

    Wholly mackerel headed down 46, totally recognize the scenery LOL
    HF notcher improvement videos on You Tube, spacers for the "carriage" to center the cut/notch, check em out, still haven't done mine but then I haven't needed it LOL
    I have a HUGE issue with welding stuff together that might need to unbolt for service at some point even tho it probably wont need jack and nothing a sawsall or zip wheel can't fix ..... I am a fan of the builders tabs you can buy from the various on line sources, they are reasonably cheap easy to modify and save tons of time. Love the buggy, I want one LOL

    6061 aluminum pipe built rock crawler car? Please let me know

    • @BigHammerGarage
      @BigHammerGarage  3 месяца назад

      Aluminum just doesn’t work well for a rock crawler. The tube dents &bends too easily. Also the properties of aluminum tend to crack under the stresses.

    7-9:1 pedal ratio is a good spot to be depending on your brake masters/calipers. For reference my wilwood pedal is 7:1 and 12in from pivot to end
