I’m cursed with the 7th. I keep getting either Chubb/Saquon and then Brown/Lamb as options for my 1,2 picks so I’m happy enough to build from there. Sometimes Hill falls to me
@@samuelault4723 bro don’t remind me. Tbh that’s the worst part bout a fantasy draft. Still fun tho cause you research your next pick till it gets taken right before your up
10th pick is only good at the 1-2 turn. Then 3-4 have to reach on some players. Then you gamble on pick 58 that a player will make it that far. I feel as though you’re getting the leftovers or just reaching on players ADP to build a complete team. 1-4 is great because you let the board decide what falls to you and build off either an the #1 rb or #1 WR. And most of the time you can get an elite TE in Mark Andrews in round 2 or round 3 Kyle pitts.
@DonaldMcduck it does create a hard build but getting a Kelce way past his Adp or a mark andrews past his adp in a best ball format is great. Obviously you’re doing multiple drafts on underdog. Think about Kelces 300 plus point season in 2020
8th spot has always been my favorite, back to back years I’ve had it and I’ve won back to back years. Coincidently enough I looked back and last time I won before these last 2 years was 2017 and I had the 8th pick.
Same I’ve got lucky and got 1st 2nd and first last year lmao my Friends hate me I’ve also won last 3/4 seasons and last year I lost in Super Bowl idk what it’s like not to make it all the way😂
I like 10 the best when drafting. I get to completely control 2 picks in a row with nobody taking the guy I want in between me. Sure, I might reach down the ranks a little but you have to when there’s 18 picks before you pick again
I have the 8th pick today that’s a huge W seeing this Update: I got JaMarr Chase AND Najee Harris I see this as an absolute win he really wasn’t kidding about that 8th pick. (Also landed Keenan Allen in the 3rd round)
@@hossrendricks1716 3 forsure because you don’t get JT or CMC so your stuck with just a good RB at 103 and then don’t get to pick again until and then best guys are got by 207 in a 10 man atleast.
I surprisingly won my league last season at the 7th pick. Originally was supposed to be 8th but someone dropped out last second. With that, it caused me to kind of switch up my draft strategy and decided to draft WR-WR-WR first three rounds. Super risky move by me but drafting Davante, Stefon, and Scary Terry first while still being able to draft Aaron Rodgers and Tampa’s defense in the mid rounds, also pick up Elijah Mitchell by week 2 was enough to push me through to a 9-5 record and win it all in the end. Pretty stressful season tho lmao
7th pick is way underrated here. You can consistently get Najee Harris, Dalvin Cook, or Alvin Kamara and Joe Mixon, D'Andre Swift or Leonard Fournette. This year is stacked with WR talent so there's not a lot to worry about down draft
Agreed , 8 and 10 man’s a stupid unless you make the roster size way bigger , I have 1 10 man dynasty league but it’s 1 QB 2 RB 3 WR 1 TE 2 Flex and a SF
I am at 7 too. I won last year at 10 and won a few years ago in a previous position. I have made great things with next to nothing and that waiver wire.
I think 4th is strong in 12 team. Don’t get an elite RB from the first three? Grab JJ. 5th is also somewhat strong as you can get Mixon or Najee, whichever team you’re on. I draft on sleeper and my team is 3rd pick overall which makes the second round tough
Number 1 pick is my least favorite pick. Running backs get injured a lot so I always go wr with my first 2 picks (maybe rb if there is an elite rb available for a fairly late first round pick or a second rounder) and then pick up quality rb talent via the later rounds and the waiver throughout the season. Picking a wr number one is a waste as there is typically great wrs available at later picks plus your second pick is #20 (in a 10 player league)
I don’t mind drafting in the middle rounds because it’s not as long of a wait. Getting the 1st pick means getting the best player, but not getting great depth.
7th pick guarantees one of, JT CMC DCook, King Henry, Ekeler, JJ or Kupp. and you can come back round to get a solid second round RB. 8th pick is where it starts to fall off since you have a much lower chance of getting a top tier RB
I drafted the best team I’ve ever drafted from the 5th spot this year because McCafferey somehow fell there. Pulled off the ultra-rare 4-3-7-4 build with some nice stacks. But in general I would agree that it’s not a great spot.
Basically every spot but 11th and 12th. I understand. Mocking from those two spots this summer has absolutely sucked. One wrong pick and your whole draft blows up. I play in 12 team leagues. It’s hard to put a bandage on a bad pick.
I’d argue that in a 12 team ppr, either 4 or 5 is is the best spot. In a two flex ppr league, the fifth pick is the best. Leaving with one of ekeler, Jefferson or dalvin is just so op. Then take the best value at round 2 and so on
I just got my draft position for this year and it’s 8th I’ve done mocks and I get j’marr but sometimes I’m stuck between Ceedee and tyreek and then I’m stuck

4 is the best overall pick especially in first round, JJ, Kupp or CMC will be there, all of those are insanely good, JJ has potential to be the overall WR1, Kupp is gonna regress but he’s still gonna be having insane stats and CMC is of course the league winner when healthy
Getting a good pick helps, but at the end of the day it just takes some knowledge on the sport and a whole lotta luck ya never know how its gonna play out. Ive been playing for years and ive seen it all, pick placement doesnt matter if you have a good knowledge on most players, and if ya dont then getting a good pick aint gonna do that much.
