@@wickedsmartgolf The ten mental golf mistakes, tournament golfer vs golfer who plays tournaments, and the stop setting score goals videos each helped. One of the tips for the mental golf video was widening my focus and narrowing it when I got closer to the ball. I knew I was playing well and didn’t want to think about my score so whenever my mind would shift in the direction towards thinking about my score, I’d focus on what colors I was currently seeing and associating them with sports teams. On the tenth hole, my ball was in a greenside bunker and I couldn’t stand fully in the bunker. I referred back to the tournament golfer vs golfer who plays tournaments video and planned to turn the bad break into an opportunity to show off my short game. I put one foot in the bunker with one foot out and hit one of my greatest tournament shots ever, leaving myself a tap in. The no score goals video helped out by giving me an incentive to not try to know my score because of the Kenny Perry incident at Augusta. When I added everything up, I was shocked to know I shot 76! There are so many more videos I intend to watch and I might pick up a copy of your book.

So take practice swings while visualizing the shot from behind the ball? I have been taking practice swings just before stepping closer to the ball.

Yeah I’d suggest behind to get a better picture + separating your thinking from swinging - for full swing shots

@wickedsmartgolf Appreciate the help and advice. Any chance of doing a video on avoiding 3 putts from long range and going uphill? I seem to do so much better from long range and downhill.

The shot after a short missed putt is another putt.

I have moved to a slower backswing as I found it does help me get a “fuller” backswing but I do lack distance… playing this Sunday and I’ll see how slightly quickening this affects things 🙏🏽⛳️🇨🇦😂

Less than 8 seconds for an amateur. What is the shot clock for pros putting.?

Same for everyone- check out the book Golf’s 8-Second Secret. Shows why speeding up routines can make a big difference

I think that 8 sec rule is for the in stance over the ball ready to hit. Doesn’t include reading the putt.

If I start breathing deeply after every missed short putt there'll be no oxygen left on Earth after a few rounds. Otherwise, great tips!
