As always, Kevan, this is a lovely video from you on the water.
Sesame snaps are always a good find for when you need a little boost of energy. Thanks; nice work!

Another nice video, I have a G90 and occasionally complete a hard reset because the software can get corrupted after a long period of operation. SDR radios, being very similar to my laptop, need a complete shutdown from time to time as the first port of call to sort out an issue. M0NMT

Thanks Neil, I’ve had the G90 a while now and it worked flawlessly until that. I’ve lost a bit of faith in it but hopefully it will be ok again now. Thanks for watching👍

Nice WX, cool navigation passing the yacht and commercial harbour. Love the island. Glad you could fix the G90. Only one QSO but a good one. Are you monitoring CH68 and 16 at the same time? It was like beeing there! Dont change anything, good work 👏

Hi Alex, the radio does have dual watch so you can monitor two channels but I just monitor 68 when in Brightlingsea Harbour. Thanks for watching and your comments😊

Quite a lot of Wilson ships here on the Tees and Hartlepool ports

Cheers Carl, I’ve just been looking at their website, it says they have 140 ships, Brightlingsea is very small so there is only room for one ship of that size at a time.
Marine Traffic is currently showing the ship in the Bay of Biscay on the way to Bilbao in Northern Spain. Thanks for watching.

Interesting video Kevan. When you were speaking about the large vessel not being loaded it took me back to an exam question I had when I was about 15. The question was who passed the Act of Parliament in 1876 safeguarding ships? Answer: Samuel Plimsolll. Hence its known as the Plimsoll line. I’m sure you knew that anyway. I have a Xiegu G90 as well and was told by an acquaintance not to let the internal battery run down as it will lose its programming. Perhaps that was the cause of it not working.

Hi Russell, I remember the Plimsoll thing from school as well. Funny the things that stick in your head as I’ve forgotten lots of more useful knowledge. The G90 doesn’t have an internal battery, are you thinking of the x6100? I have one of those as well…

@@2e0wmghamradioandkayaking85 That’s interesting as I was told it was the G90. Another Bum Steer given me.
