Well as you might have noticed even the average WH40k lore fan is very into this deep glorious Scify setting and probably has been for quiet some time. So for us 40k weirdos it is a joy to watch new people discover the same passion we have. The more Grimdark reason is that we also enjoy watching new people fall down the Rabbithole of madness that is warhammer 40k. So in some sense we are the dark Gods in the back of your minds tempting and guiding you down a dark path of expensive books, dice, paint and minitures. So good luck and have fun.
It's not Healing magic.....The way the Warp works is if enough minds come together with faith and belief in something then the Warp can be used to accomplish many amazing things. The Eldar used to just will Gods into existence to fight for them, to build their Empire and to create new technologies, that is the power of the Warp. During the Horus Heresy a single woman with deep unwavering faith in the Emperor of Man as a God was able, by herself, to will a warp avatar of the Emperor into the material realm to protect her from Demons. Also, should the Emperor of Man actually die then travel through the Warp stops......basically every world of the Imperium of Man will be cut off from each other, because the Emperor of Man creates a sort of 'Guiding Star' in the Warp that Navigators use to travel the Warp. The Emperor of Man's death would be like you went to sea and suddenly you lost your GPS, the Stars and so on......
Adepta Sororitas, The Sisters of Battle, one of THE BEST faction on entire Warhammer 40K lore... NEVER underestimate the power of nuns armed to the teeth.
In terms of fitting the grimdarkness of the setting and the general, self-destructive stupidity of the Imperium, sure. They're team-killers who keep ruining things that could save the Imperium because they put their own beliefs above all else. Even destroying a machine they knew the Emperor himself made because it enhances psychic power and they believe that's bad. They don't really contribute anything positive to the Imperium and are basically just a big drain on resources. They're also far too few and weak to be of any benefit to a war (unlike the Astartes who have their power and whatever the Emperor to make their souls shine brightly). This is why their role in the lore has consistently been to die to show how strong other enemies are or to maintain the status quo through downright blasphemous levels of self-righteousness.
Pariah Nexus is actually happening shortly after this cinematic, and the Battle sister you see in the cinematic is in Pariah Nexus, so yeah it is connected 😊 Pariah Nexus is actually the "zone" where they are. It is a blank zone created by a Necron device, because they want to annihilate every warp manifestation in this system (and eventually in the entire galaxy), so that's why they attacked this system and therefore the battle began. It is actually a big piece of lore ongoing right now and I'm waiting to see what happens next
Ohhhh OOHHH I see now, SHE is Pariah Nexus! I didn’t even think it was THAT connected haha I’m planning to watch Pariah Nexus sometime soon when I feel more confident in my Warhammer 40k lore game ❤

Sisters of Battle are a special type of awesome in a universe that's already filled to the brim with ancient horrors, eldritch demons and warp sorcery. My biggest complaint about this trailer this that the line "In this new dark age" it read out at the same time as the two voice actors, I feel like that would have been way more powerful
Just want to say Im a loyalist Guardsman and when he said "our forces are few" I just wanted to shout "FIRE!!" from the full might of our artillry! You might be the spear! We are the shield! Get behind me sir!
The cinematic i'd like to recommend is the launch trailer for the first battlefleet gothic game. By far the most epic one I've ever seen and I have yet to see a better "it is better to die for the emperor and live for oneself" delivery. Watch this to get an idea of scale and insanity of space fleet combat between ships of the Imperial Navy and those of Chaos.
2:20 What you witnessed is what we in 40k terminology call "a miracle". It's a relatively new phenomenon in the setting and we genuinely have little to no idea of what is happening, only theories and good hunches. For a while people in the setting thought it was luck or something because Sisters would somehow make shots on an unknow weak point, kill enemies that should've been stronger than them and survived things that they just physically shouldn't have. Now it's occurred too often to be denied and is seen as the Emperor commanding his will through his daughters by answering their prayers. Note: The Sisters are NOT psykers, they abhore them as witches and dangerous. They are thus the ONLY Imperials that have been shown to manifest the Emperor's will so absolutely
It is delightful to see just how well she's been adapting to her immersion into the WH40k lore. Sooner or later they'll probably bring back the Primarch Vulcan in time to fix the Golden Throne, at least that's the current theory I believe.
I thought the voice in this sounded familiar, it is the character Minthara from Baldurs Gate3. The voice actress is called Emma Gregory and she is also the ships mistress from the Angels of Death videos.
Good catch with the Pariah Nexus link, and great memes at the end haha Unsurprisingly, the 9th edition box came with space marines - as usual, but these new minis leaned into the knightly themes, like the huge shield, tilt shields on shoulders, and some helmet visors - and the other force was Necrons. This was a pretty huge and successful range refresh for Necrons, convincing many to collect them, according to comments etc. Roughly around that time, Sisters of Battle had a similarly vast range refresh too. It was so long awaited that this was the first time many of their minis had plastic versions. There were some Guard updates sprinkled about too, but this explains the forces in the trailer :) Oh, you had a great question about the timeline! For many editions of 40k, it was as if the lore was pretty much frozen at or near the late 41st millenium. As such, a lot of new lore was not so new in-universe... That all started to change around the launch of 8th edition 40k (or a bit before) with several huge events like Cadia's fall, leading to the return of the first loyalist primarch, Roboute Guilliman of the Ultramarines. This turned around a lot of the stagnation (but not all the superstition, much to Rob G's annoyance lol) and the clock ticked forward from there, into his Indomitus Crusade. This covers roughly a couple of centuries but there have been the occasional tweak and retcon to better fit newer books. As for what happens if the Emperor dies, there are lots of answers. The Imperial navigators lose their beacon in the warp, Sisters probably lose their faith rewards, maybe... but for another big answer, well, the primarch Vulkan has an answer to that haha
it doesn't matter what happens to emperor - humanity will die moment he dies since earth will turn into another eye of terror and galaxy just dies. that's is why everyone who wants to kill emperor to let him revive himself is fucking lunatic. Don't think Big E would be happy being alive as new god without any people left alive..
The Sisters manifesting literal miracles like coming back from death or being able to block a daemon's giant sword or kill a super tough enemy with one shot due to their extreme faith, is one of the things I really love about them. And even with the existence of the Warp and Psyker stuff, the ambiguity / mystery of these "miracles" make them such a cool element for me.
@@HeatRaver Yeah love that too. I heard of a story about an Adeptus Mechanicus guy taking an Ork gun apart to see how it works. And they just saw what amounts to a metal pipe with some bullets stuck in it. Crazy shit. edit: Speaking of Adeptus Mechanicus, I guess it's kind of the same with the Machine Spirit thing they have going on. But I think something about the aesthetics of the Sister's miracles being similar too current world religion (faith healing, angels, saints, etc.) makes it extra badass for me.
I think you might enjoy the fan made animation of Hellsreach, is a full blown movie ( in total 2h40 minutes), with the voice actor that makes the audiobook of the novel, and its a masterpiece imo.
Quick recommendation if you want a few extra laughs when it comes to 40k; several cutscenes and trailers (including this one) have been Google-translated into oblivion by a channel called Eliphas, fully voiced and all. I had to join the Mechanicus so I could get a new set of lungs after watching a couple of them the first time.
Interesting to note that the Sisters of Battle don't typically get along with the Space Marines, since the Adeptus Astartes are genetically modified the Sisters consider them mutants who don't universally recognize the divinity of the God-Emperor, hence they are part of the unclean they feel they must purge from mankind. What respect the Sisters do have for the Astartes is solely because they are the Emperor's creations, but even though they are super soldiers the Sisters have more respect for the rank-and-file of the Imperial Guard (because they are just regular humans who exalt the Imperial Creed).
Check out "If the Emperor Had a Text to Speech Device!" You will never run out of 40k content to consume, fair warning lol. The Horus Heresy has 50+ novels attributed to it alone. As for content for your channel? Eh, that's more debatable lol
Hi Ti8ick ! It is really great for us to see you discovering more and more the Warhammer 40K universe. I'd like to recommand you a video, wich is actually from the book called "Blindsight". It narrates the moment when Roboute Guillimans, after being resurrected, finally speak to the Emperor after ten thousand years. Such an important and beautiful moment of the lore. Moreover, the narrator has a really great tone voice : ruclips.net/video/PwVyvWV__7U/видео.htmlsi=3YuSUWvcrNHhCdJv ps : also sorry for my english ! i'm french ; )
Your Sisters of Battle are awaiting you SISTER!! Abandon all childish ties ti this word and go join his Glorious armires, YOU WILL BE NUNS WITH GUNS !1
The Sisters are amazing and I hope Fatshark adds them as a subclass to the Zealot class in Darktide as they did with the characters in Vermintide 2, because there nothing like cutting dozens of heretics in half with a two handed power chainsword than doing it in such a cool armour (that they will sell for a kidney like they did the Krieger armour but I have two anyway)
I doubt they will do that. That's kind of out stripping what they are going for with the whole reject thing and it's outside of the guard. Besides having power armor puts you higher in threat than the target of assassination missions at the very least. Maybe repentia but I think you have the same problems narrative wise. Well, that and it excludes the whole male character as well.
React to "Rylanor's Last Stand" by StringStorm - it's a piece of music based on one of the most badass scenes in lore, and also what I dream Warhammer 40k Rock Opera would be...
The Sisters of Battle got so much cool lore in 8th and 9th edition that it almost convinced me that Era Indomitus might be cool, actually. But alas, they were the only cool part of it. The rest is still Grandpa Smurf's Galactic Superfriends. >~
This trailer in 8K is insane. GW better hire that female voice actor permanently. She was sooo great in the Angels Of Death series and just has "that" voice.
I would recommend The Faith: Warhammer 40k Fan Animation by Gabriel Christianne. He has several other cool animations on his channel, such as Spirit of Sanguinala.
The Emperor's looks are all illusions. He doesn't look like anything like he is depicted in Imperial propaganda or how people/Primarchs see him. Only people dead to the warp have seen the real Emperor, and he is just an average heigh and looking dark skinned Mesopotamian man. Even his ghoulish corpse look is an illusion. There is quite a bit of lore about this all, and it is clearly stated how each Primarch's and other notable characters' descriptions of the Emperor are all completely different and conflicting. He is not dead, and infact he isn't any weaker then he used to be. However, he is technically imprisoned on to the Golden throne, due to what would happen if he would ever leave the golden throne even for a second, since there is a permanent warp rift just under the throne (that magnus accidentally tore open) that opens Terra and the Golden throne directly to the Chaos Gods. Also the Astronomicon that allows the Imperiums ships to travel the warp is projected from the Golden Throne by the Emperor. It is a fight he is losing, and needs more and more outside help (those Psyker sacrifices) to help him power the damaged Golden Throne and to keep the Chaos Gods at bay. Most importantly, the Emperor is at least as strong as he ever was Psychically, possibly even stronger. Problem is, that the fight he is fighting is getting harder and harder Also, it is hinted at that just before the Emperor destroyed Horus, he drank from the warp so deep he started to became the Dark King, the 5th Chaos God before being talked down from it at the last second. He was (maybe) able to stop becoming a full Chaos God, but it has been noted that the best humane and caring part of him had been cut away, and what returned as the Emperor was only the worst part of him. This would also explain the complete change in the Emperor's will, ethics and methods that he had previously fought his whole life to avoid The Emperor is known to be a perpentual (immortal that can heal from almost anything and doesn't age) so if he could step away fron the Golden Throne, like if Magnus had been there to take his place or if the warp rift on Terra was somehow closed, he would most likely fully recover in a matter of days.
So her healing her arm is simple to understand...... In the Warp, ALL things are possible, all realities, all ideals and all things, all it takes is a certain amount of belief and faith. See the Warp in and of itself isn't evil or good, it is a formless void and it is the thoughts, beliefs and ideals of those in the Materium who shape it. This is known well to the Eldar, who used to just all together willed up Gods to perform miracles at the drop of a hat, and then they became depraved and they birthed Slaanesh. The Idea of the Emperor as a God was created by the belief he is one and thus a being was formed in the Warp that was the Emperor of Mankind as a God, it is not the Real Emperor of Mankind, but something similar created by the faith and belief of his followers..
....Yes, yes liking the galaxy eating bugs makes you a massive heretic. I'll get the prometheum, we're gonna need a lot of this one. Guess the most obvious thing to tell the Emperor is not dead is the Astronomican. If that goes out, he's a deadin'. In fact when the Great Rift was formed the Astronomican did go out for a bit and people did think he died until it turned back on. But yeah if that goes out the North Star is gone and the only way to travel is with short, dangerous warp jumps which kills interstellar trade and military response time so the Imperium is pretty much doomed at that point.

I thought the voice in this sounded familiar, it is the character Minthara from Baldurs Gate3. The voice actress is called Emma Gregory and she is also the ships mistress from the Angels of Death videos.
Good catch with the Pariah Nexus link, and great memes at the end haha
Unsurprisingly, the 9th edition box came with space marines - as usual, but these new minis leaned into the knightly themes, like the huge shield, tilt shields on shoulders, and some helmet visors - and the other force was Necrons. This was a pretty huge and successful range refresh for Necrons, convincing many to collect them, according to comments etc.
Roughly around that time, Sisters of Battle had a similarly vast range refresh too. It was so long awaited that this was the first time many of their minis had plastic versions. There were some Guard updates sprinkled about too, but this explains the forces in the trailer :)
Oh, you had a great question about the timeline!
Another theory to what happens when the emperor dies is he gets reincarnated into an actual god.
it doesn't matter what happens to emperor - humanity will die moment he dies since earth will turn into another eye of terror and galaxy just dies.
that's is why everyone who wants to kill emperor to let him revive himself is fucking lunatic. Don't think Big E would be happy being alive as new god without any people left alive..
Across a thousand worlds you fight. The numbers gotta be waaay larger than that. At least tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands.
That Adeptus Sororitas soldier is the most badass looking space marine I have ever seen.
But she isn't even a space marine. Not even close
Sisters Of Battle are NOT space marines..they are badass though.
@@BattleBrotherCasten LOL. You nerds can be so annoying. I know that.
@@vinceA3748 Annoying for stating facts? Ok moron.
Then why the fuck wrong on purpose? lmao@@vinceA3748
At 04:16 - the comment in the top left corner. Shouldn't that be "Für der Kaiser?" :P
The Emperor lives. The faith healing is the power of Emperor, even though he is comatose on the Golden Throne he is very active in the warp.
Even if you passed that quiz, just remember, innocence proves nothing. 😂
LMAO! that ending! had me so good! LOL
It seems very similar to how Orks can manifest reality through belief; ie "Red wunz go fasta!"
@@HeatRaver Yeah love that too. I heard of a story about an Adeptus Mechanicus guy taking an Ork gun apart to see how it works. And they just saw what amounts to a metal pipe with some bullets stuck in it. Crazy shit.
edit:
Speaking of Adeptus Mechanicus, I guess it's kind of the same with the Machine Spirit thing they have going on.
An absolutely amazing movie sized Warhammer 40k piece is Helreach and it well worth the watch!
lol that ending! 😂❤
0:56 Hahahaha. You already got this 💪
Check out "If the Emperor Had a Text to Speech Device!"
You will never run out of 40k content to consume, fair warning lol. The Horus Heresy has 50+ novels attributed to it alone. As for content for your channel? Eh, that's more debatable lol
dark tide intro is also very good, especially if you like the inquisition
Moreover, the narrator has a really great tone voice :

LOVED this reaction! Hope you react to the rest of the trailers!!
Your Sisters of Battle are awaiting you SISTER!! Abandon all childish ties ti this word and go join his Glorious armires,
YOU WILL BE NUNS WITH GUNS !1
Tick got some great eyes for memes 😂
The Emperor would be reborn if he dies, but the others do not know that.
In the future there is a nice cup of tea, nom.
The Pariah Nexus cinematics brought me back to 40k 😊 Picked up Sororitas, still in the process of assembling thhem :D #TheEmperorProtects 😊
Yeah. That was fun!
@@dagonofthedepths Now I'm sad.
@@NSUSashiel see this is why "hope is the first step on the road to disappointment."
Guardsman is a good mini 40k video too watch.
Also helsreach full movie is awesome
ending is awesome
React to "Rylanor's Last Stand" by StringStorm - it's a piece of music based on one of the most badass scenes in lore, and also what I dream Warhammer 40k Rock Opera would be...
"Ignorance is a bless"
Warhammer 40k 10th Edition is cool too!! :D
The Sisters of Battle got so much cool lore in 8th and 9th edition that it almost convinced me that Era Indomitus might be cool, actually. But alas, they were the only cool part of it. The rest is still Grandpa Smurf's Galactic Superfriends. >~
0:53 you're a born sisters player
Sister of battle Adepta Sororitas \o/
Got another one boys🎉
whose unlucky skeleton is attached to that shield.. damm
This trailer in 8K is insane. GW better hire that female voice actor permanently. She was sooo great in the Angels Of Death series and just has "that" voice.
Yeah she's been voicing Sister and other female characters for a while now. I think it's probably been like a decade +
I would recommend The Faith: Warhammer 40k Fan Animation by Gabriel Christianne. He has several other cool animations on his channel, such as Spirit of Sanguinala.
Ave imperator .
Problem is, that the fight he is fighting is getting harder and harder
Also, it is hinted at that just before the Emperor destroyed Horus, he drank from the warp so deep he started to became the Dark King, the 5th Chaos God before being talked down from it at the last second. He was (maybe) able to stop becoming a full Chaos God, but it has been noted that the best humane and caring part of him had been cut away, and what returned as the Emperor was only the worst part of him.
This would also explain the complete change in the Emperor's will, ethics and methods that he had previously fought his whole life to avoid
The Emperor is known to be a perpentual (immortal that can heal from almost anything and doesn't age) so if he could step away fron the Golden Throne, like if Magnus had been there to take his place or if the warp rift on Terra was somehow closed, he would most likely fully recover in a matter of days.
You should watch the Dawn of War 2 upscaled cinematic. That one is also good.

The Horus Heresy: Death of hope trailers 1-2
Cadia Stands !
That sister really looks like you if you cut your hair short and bleah it white. XD
If at all possible, it might be worth doing a gameplay of the Dawn of War II campaigns!
Did you watch the 10ed release video?
....Yes, yes liking the galaxy eating bugs makes you a massive heretic.
But yeah if that goes out the North Star is gone and the only way to travel is with short, dangerous warp jumps which kills interstellar trade and military response time so the Imperium is pretty much doomed at that point.
wait....that....thats the voice actor from minthara in baldurs gate 3....so she can be a good girl....well more or less.
