I used to love going to Old Town. A little touristy, but a great place to stroll and look in the shops. The city's monthly Art Walk is a good time to go, and during the summer there is often live music in the little rotunda in the park. Be careful though, Central Avenue is just around the corner, and anything and everything can happen there at any time. The merchants had to hire private security to patrol Old Town (or are on call) because the city's police department is so overwhelmed w/ crime. People even tried to topple that great big statue of Don Francisco on his horse into the streets!
