Shi Zhiyong 🇨🇳 who clinched gold at the Rio 2016 Olympics in the -69kg weightlifting category with a combined total of 352kg. Transitioning to the -73kg class at Tokyo 2020, he continued his dominance by securing another Olympic title, setting a new world record with a combined total lift of 364kg.🏋️🥇

The 2nd place winner beat the 3rd place winner by 4kg. The 3rd beat the 4th by 1kg. The 4th beat the 5th by 3kg. Then there's Shi Zhiyong, who beat the 2nd by 18kg. Insane performance. Hope he can make it to Paris injury-free and battle it out with Rizki.
The challenge is hard for Shi to secure his 3rd Olympic title as Rizki from Indonesia has recently emerged and he will definitely be going for a big total (Possibly above 360). The task is hard for Shi but I still have faith that he can win. He had injury issues just before 2020 Olympics but still managed to get gold there🥇🇨🇳
Injuries have definitely become a big what if for shi, he is no longer untouchable like the past and you can see the injuries have taken a tow on him. If he comes back from all this to win a 3rd gold he could challenge laksha as the goat of the modern era
