I'm getting a 2021 Titan Pro-4x. I've done a ton of research and not married to brand. Its the best value and the best looking one out there. Love it. I think alot of people just stay w the brand they know and grew up with and dont really expand their ideas.
Did you end up getting it. I am with you. I have had a Chevy 1500, Ford f250, Chevy avalanche, Dodge Warlock. I now have a Titan Pro4X and it is my favorite. I think it's the most capable and comfortable. It checks nearly all of the boxes. I had major issues with the F250 and the emissions system. The Avalanche had AC and electric issues. The Warlock trans went out. Zero issues in the Titan. And the ride is much better than all of them.
Any other country of the world Nissan is a major force offroad. I am not sure why it isn't here. Drove one in Afghanistan for a year and it never let me down.
Love my 2018 Titan. I've got it built out full Leitner ACS, power, Hammerhead bumper, Warn winch, rigid lights, SPOD, RTT.. A full modern overland build out. Two years, two major coast to coast overland and offroading trips. It's easily the most underated platform on the market and the price simply can't be beat. Only downside is aftermarket parts availability, you'll need to be handy in fabrication or modification. Enjoy your truck!
I am still sporting my 2006 nissan titan Texas edition 4x4 . 136000 miles on it. Most the known issues have been fixed. Some things upgraded. Aftermarket ironcross bumper with xbull winch and it has taken me everywhere. It is a bit big for some trails so we have to pick and choose. One of the best sounding engines made. Endurance is fact. 🙂👍☕
I have a Titan XD and always thought it would be a great overland vehicle if more people made aftermarket upgrades for it. Still, with my ARE shell and towing capacity it's a really handy truck. We were able to move from TX to MD with 3 dogs and towing a car comfortably.
Recently picked up a 2019 SL 4x4 Midnight Edition. After my adventures with the GM twins, I don't miss anything about them. Great experience so far. The aftermarket is sparse all around. Either really expensive or cheap add-ons. Especially since they discontinued the Titan. I'm just getting everything now and hope for the best.
I've always kinda wondered why people aren't building Nissan. Ive never owned one. But the frontier looks like a great value compared to the tacoma too. Hmm. Got me thinking. Thanks for the video.
The steering rack is what kills the frontier for me. Those things probably have the worst turning radius of any vehicle ive ever driven. It really is strange. It almost feels like theres something wrong with it. No idea why they made them like that.
@@DayTripAdventure Yea there's got to be a reason for it. Otherwise they seem like nice trucks. I work at a body shop. And we painted a bunch of 19 frontiers for a local business. And that was the one thing I really didn't like about them. You had to do like a 12 point turn just to get them in and out of the building. Lol
Finally a review on the true value of the Titan. 100% accurate. You can get a whole lot better deal on a Titan Vs the others. Sticker prices are similar but you cannot haggle a Tundra or F150. Lets not forget the best warranty in the industry with their standard 7 years/100K. Can't beat that! I test drove F150, Tundra and Ram before I settled for a Titan XD. It was a no brainer.
jose orozco ... I’ve been slowly adding to my ‘17 Titan while doing camping and overlanding trips. I have a few modest videos on my changes to-date here on RUclips
I love my 2017 Nissan Titan, it’s nice being different on and off the road. I will agree with the negatives about it being thirsty and the lack of after asked for the truck. So far I’ve upgraded the suspension with Bilstein 6100’s and 5160’s with Freedom Off Road UCA’s. Getting a Hammerhead bumper next. Good luck!

I agree with the fact that it’s hard to de-content. My friend’s Macan had Cooled seats. I’m not in the desert but I am in Honolulu and the tropical sun really heats up leather seats. I always would burn my legs driving my mom’s car with leather seats even through my shorts.
Really looking forward to the build. I have a 2017 Titan and love it. Not a Pro4x but 4x4. But did upgrade to Bilstein 5100 to level it and put bigger tires.

I'm an absolute Toyota fanboy. I've had my 06 double cab Tundra since 2008. I love that truck and it is solid. I put a deposit for a brand new 1794 Tundra and waited 19 months because Toyota wouldn't build what I spec'd. My neighbor has a Titan. I jumped ship and got a 24 Pro4x XD. Mind you I am keeping my Tundy for the tighter trails but the XD is absolutely, hands down, an absolute beast and value. I pulled my deposit from Toyo and got my Titan for $20k less than what I would've paid for the Toyo. Every checkbox was checked for me and then some. I am deeply saddened to see 24 is the last year of the Titan but I'm glad I got mine.
You’re right - I have a 2004 ZR71 with 216000 miles, motor is great but everything else is falling apart, that’s why I recently purchased a 2020 Tacoma TRD Off-road.
I'm excited to see what you do with this truck. I have a 2017 PRO 4X and love it. I just had my Rocky Road full cover Kicker Sliders put on and the quality of those are fantastic! I also put on a stillen exhaust and WOW! Though if you're looking at stillen if you opt for the black tip it will be bolt on. That's why I got it so I could remove it for off road. Overall I still want a 3 inch lift but love my truck. Good luck 👍

Thank you for your real world review. I have been looking for a used half ton luxury truck and the big three are soo expensive. I have decided to set my sights on a Titan Platinum reserve with a 6.5 truck bed. Cheers.
I can’t believe they’re canceling this truck. I had no budget buying a truck this year and at $60k and $6k off when the other trucks I was looking at were having “market adjustments” of $15-$20k?!?!?! Love this truck. Truth about the sound. My $160k BMW’s audio is way worse and the road sound is just barely quieter. Great truck.
Doesn't seem to have alot of aftermarket bumpers and goodies for it. I have a 21 pro 4x with a rough country and I am thinking about building it into an overlanding truck

The only thing about nissans in general that i'm not a huge fan of is the company itself. Newer Nissans are higher quality but the decade or so previous to that has left the company itself on the edge of collapse. I would be worried about loss of OEM support if they cant successfully turn it around.
Adventure Built you’re welcome. Watching the video reminded me of Nissan. My dad had a 1988 regular cab 4x2 Hardbody pick up with their great 4-cylinder, 4-spd manual and manual steering (thankfully A/C). He put a hi-cab topper on the back and we put scrap carpet and large pillows (we called them zabutons). I borrowed it and went uphill over speed bumps in 2nd gear and burnt the clutch. Dad said it slipped for a while but reformed and drove like new. All we did was change the oil, he traded it for a Dakota and now hates Dodge to the point he might disown me if I get one. He bought two different 1995.5 V-6 Tacomas from cousins. He kept the 4x4 5-spd and gave me the 4x2 column shift auto while I was living in Portland 😕. I really wanted the 4x4, but he liked driving standard. I looked into adding an SAS and transfer case but I’m not that mechanical so it was too pricey for me.
I think that if Nissan can definitely learn how to market the Titan just like how they market their Frontier then quite possibly we could definitely have a winner on our hands so why doesn't someon els teach Nissan how to market their Titan just like they market their Frontier because that is what my ideas are on this very subject so if anyone else has any ideas on how we can definitely get it started for Nissan hey please definitely drop me line and then share your ideas
