Here’s my theory. Kid Icarus Uprising came out on March 22nd 2012 right? And it’s 2024 right now. That means this March 22nd marks a twelve year anniversary of the game. That’s double the years. Perhaps Nintendo will bring it back. Maybe not this year but the next. This would be the start of the Kid Icarus Uprising Remake’s development process. I think the only reason Sakurai said what he said is because he fears the game wasn’t doing well enough because it was a 3DS game. And the 3DS days are practically dead. But we have a Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon remake coming the same month. It’s clear that along with the new original games Nintendo is doing remakes galore to make up for making good games on bad console platforms. And wasn’t only Luigi’s Mansion. We have Remake of Paper Mario Thousand Year Door being made. And the Remake of Kirby Return to Dreamland came last year. I believe the revival of Kid Icarus Uprising is on the rise my dudes and dudettes (yes I just said that and I regret nothing)
I think its clear... "indie game" meaning it won't get the recognition it may or may not deserve@@orangeslash1667
Sakurai himself said a remake would be too hard to do, I don't think we're ever getting this.

Kid Icarus Uprising is one of my favorite games of all time as well! I really hope we get a port, remake, sequel, LITERALLY ANYTHING!! I have been watching your Smash Bros videos as well, you make such great content! You have earned my sub!

You make my eyes water with your vision of a potential sequel to this masterpiece of a game already...I hope so so much that this is going to happen. Heck I would buy the Switch Prime immediately, when I heard that any Kid Icarus Title would be for this new console.
I would love to see a kid, Icarus, anime, movie, sequel, and backstory for all the characters! I would love to see Pit and Sora(Kingdom Hearts) Have a crossover episode that’s the both champions of light!
God I love Kid Icarus Uprising. Perfect cast of characters, a great soundtrack, fantastic dialogue. Man I wish we got a sequel.

I feel you, but also I think that might be exactly what happens haha. I'm willing to wait, but, y'know it'd be nice if it didn't have to be like that. At the end of the day, KI:U is Sakurai's game, and if he says the series isn't coming back, well it's just not coming back. Hate that for us, but there's still hope in the future, eh ? Switch 2 is around the corner.
Kid Icarus is one of my all time fav games. Nintendo needs to Remake it, I’m so tired of Pokemon or their farming RPGarbage games. Nintendo needs more action adventure titles and Kid Icarus Uprising is one of the best.
I just want the lil guy to succeed. It's been years for a lot of video games, we need to see new things so we know they still care 🥺

Remake of uprising would be amazing...and with the switch install base should do really well
Viridi would need to be the first or second god you rescue, as it would be a mistake not to get her into the story early given her popularity as a character. I would actually have her free herself, be freed by Phosphora, or somehow avoid being imprisoned in the first place, and act as Pit's ally from the beginning of the game, as something like that would reflect the appropriate level of competence she should be given credit for. Also, that way you don't have to come up with an entirely different mechanic for a part of the game where Pit doesn't have any divine allies yet. Medusa or even Hades could work as alternatives for that too, but it makes more sense for Viridi to want to restore the Heavenly order instead of just taking advantage of the situation for their own purposes.
Or, I guess another way to handle it would be to start the game in the middle of the villain's attack, with Palutena already doomed but still sending Pit the last bit of power she can, at which point you have a choice of gods to go save first before that power runs out. Viridi and Medusa should probably be options there. Possibly Pandora. I'm not sure who else would work other than new characters. I suppose I could see Dyntos, but he doesn't seem inclined to get involved in things at all. Hades and Poseidon would probably be too powerful, and freeing them should come later in the game if at all.
Though, I would also like to see Viridi call out Palutena for barely reacting when Poseidon casually admitted to sinking an entire city to "remind the humans of their place."
they could through in Poseidon since he's in the seafloor chamber or even Zeus from the first game as options
My theory, Metroid prime 4 needs to come out before Kid Icurus remake. I think the rumored multi-player for prime 4 will need its time to breath. Maybe 6ish months after prime 4 we'll see KI:U remastered

Dude your idea for a new game is so good! I also had been thinking about a sequel that has the same premise so I’m super happy other people have similar ideas! God I would give anything for a sequel of this game 😭
the problem is that for this game to be good it should be done by Sakurai because everything kid Icarus is today is thanks to Sakurai, even if it is a remake of Uprising it needs to be done by Sakurai so his ideas and soul stays in the game
also the devs should be Hal Laboratory I feel any other devs wouldn't be able to maintain the idea of Sakurai, after all Hal Laboratory continued with the Kirby franchise without Sakurai and have been able to produce games on the same heights as the games Sakurai made
I remember i made a one shot melee build in the campaign and brought it into multiplayer and i gotta be honest it was ridiculous being able to one shot players with that rocky club just felt bordeline cheating.
Personally, I would dislike the inclusion of a dodge/roll button. I just feel like it's not really needed, you know?
I like the idea of Side Quests though! Like in Kirby's Dreamland 3, some stages had specific objectives you had to do in order to get a collectible. It could work.

While I like the idea of magnes level, he was honestly my least favorite to play as and to make me have even more time where I'm forced to play with my least favorite weapon class (clubs) its just going to make me not like the game. For the multiplayer I kinda like the grunts as is I would instead make them like halo where you can customize the armor with a variety of chest plates, helmets, and boots. My biggest hope for a sequel/remake for KIU is the ability to choose what modifiers go on weapons during fusions as I constantly get to the fusion only for the junk mods to pass on and not the ones that I did the whole process to pass.
I REALLY WANT a new Kid Icarus game, I literally made like 3 RUclips shorts just to try and let nintendo know we want one XD
With a new game/remake and anime, the chances for more merch, especially figures are higher! Gimme Nendoroids and Scales of the KI cast!

I'ma keep it blunt I want them to just change the controls. kid icarus uprising is genuinely perfect game but the controls suck doo doo theres no dodge button so when I'm just trying to change directions I dash out of the way and if I want to use an ability I have to look down and try and choose the ability I want before I get hit. its clunky and it really needs an overhale if I could just play this game with keyboard and mouse that would be peak

here are my idea of the blessing types. you said there based on hades's and hades has six types of boons so why not the for KIS. here are the types
status shots: the shots has a chance to debuff an enemy
charge asset: after every three charge a special fourth charge attack shot
elemental melee: (oh yeah there's more melee now) its just like KSA with every weapon has attack gets altered
super dash: the dash gets altered that's it
god asset: now that's my favorite pit can summon a god to help but there's the fun part you can play as the god with there own unique attacks and abilites
