I worked as an engineer in tech industries. They could not wait to get rid of older employees at any opportunity. If you are waiting to make IPO it increases the value of a company and younger people are cheaper. Eventually they got me.

Thank you for the very intersting discussion. I am a person with hearing loss and use captions. I am viewing the RUclips on a laptop and the name of the presenter in the bottom left hand corner made it difficult to read the capitons. In the future can you put the title of the presenter somer where else on the slide, maybe at the top of the slide?

Yes, ageism. Like people attacking older men for dating younger women.

I don't understand. Tech is dead within a month if you're e.g. forced to hire 20% of programmers over 50. Things move fast, and that's ok. There is other places for people to go.

The world isn't build just to accomodate old people. If you can't do the job, you can't do the job.
