Chad’s senior year in high school was supposed to be what every teenager dreams it will be: fun, exciting and full of anticipation. But when his brother David is diagnosed with cancer, Chad’s entire world comes crashing down around him.
Chad (played by Tony Leech) has a shot at big time college athletics - a full track scholarship at San Angelo State. And David’s (Jason Rogers) earth-shattering news couldn’t have come at a worse time: in just a few short days, Chad must compete in a huge track meet that will decide whether he gets the athletic scholarship he has worked his entire life to win. Further complicating Chad’s struggle is David’s insistence on mending the bitter relationship between Chad and their father, who recently walked out on their family. In his emotional fight to find out what really matters most in his life, Chat learns to trust God and to go “beyond belief.”
This one hour mini-movie is built around six state of the art concept music videos by the rock band Petra, featuring songs from their album Beyond Belief. The movie features cameo appearances by Petra band-members John Schlitt, Bob Hartman, John Lawry, Louie Weaver and Ronny Cates, who interact with Chad in one of the movie’s videos. The Beyond Belief Video Album is a trend-setting visual achievement, and a powerful testimony of God’s love.
The project was filmed on location in: Tulsa, OK; Phoneix and Sedona, AZ; Coos Bay, OR; Miami, FL and Lima, Peru.
The music in this video is form the Petra recording Beyond Belief, available on DaySpring cassettes and compact discs. Special thanks to American Airlines.

I was going to tell my Mother I found this and have her over so that we could watch it together b/c Petra was her favorite group...but I never got the chance b/c she passed away last summer :(

This movie is great and I also watched as a teenager. Now in my 40s and it is still relevant. Aside from the main idea of faith in the Lord for everything, the movie also elaborates on the fact that divorce of parents often leads to difficult situations and disjointed families for children.
Me and my bros could probably quote all the lines in this movie! Was on VHS repeat in the Marquez house in the 90s🤣😂
This is probably the catalyst for me going on missions trips right out of high school praise God and it changed me - from faith to faith! (Romans 1:17)❤

As far as I know only VHS tapes of this movie exist. I got to see this video when Petra revealed it for the first time at their concert in Worcester MA back during their beyond belief tour it was really cool to be first to ever see it👍
You can make a video of this on a PC and Burnet but you can't play it on a DVD unless if you said it right when you burn it.

This is why I don't listen to Christian rock or Christian music today. The stuff today doesn't deal with real issues. The old school stuff dealt with real life.
Hey you know what my friend, I used to get into Satanism and in gains . Jesus turn my life around through Petra and now I am in a wonderful Church ready to be a pastor.😂
I never liked this movie it always seemed like it was incomplete, in the 90s I used to watch only the videos and skipped the movie parts.
Pray for Jesus to move in your life my friend and help you understand the movie so it does make sense.

@@DJToooooooMAGA I believe what the Bible says about salvation. I know I'm saved because I recognized I am a sinner, I repent my sins, I asked for forgiveness and received Jesus as my Saviour. I know that I'm saved and I'm a born again Christian because I still feel that struggle between my sinful nature and my new spiritual nature, I'm always fighting against bad thoughts and temptations. But I always ask the Lord for forgiveness, like 1 John 2 says: But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
