I actually like those wheels, especially with a TSL'ish tire. That was the typical wheel/tire combo for most the late 90's and early 2000's. I'm going to get some for my old trx4 bronco lol
The tire was designed as a scale comp tire. It’s built to replicate a swamper with a specific lug cut and shaved sidewalls for scale comp crawling. Shaving sidewalls is critical for situations where the obstacle is a pinch with vertical sides. If you have side lugs they will grab and start pushing you backwards. The smooth surface can slip and allow you to propel forward.
I’ve ran full size wheelers for 20 years and rc crawlers about the same. Mostly boggers, tsl, and irok. Besides my sxs that I’m running rockzilla stickies. I understand how tires work a little bit😂
The trails I’ve build on my property, and all the spots around me, sidelugs are very useful. I love the tread pattern, just wish they had the sidelugs of an actual tsl…
Skinny tires actually have a better contact patch than a wide tire if you have it set up correctly. It's about the how far your contact patch reaches forward, not to the sides.
@@ExocagedRChay man I've watched some videos and talked to a few guys running them and I just couldn't pass it up. I ment to order both the colors but mest up and got the red but it's getting colder here so I'll get the other compound when it starts to warm back up
The tires are an intentional homage to swampers. I talked with the owner/designer and he ran swampers on comp trucks for years. He Just always did the lug cut and sidewall shave. Worked to make the setup available to the masses and in different rubber compounds.
Thanks for the kind words buddy!!
Wow that was just awesome to watch. Literally no struggle whatsoever. Great run 💯
I have been real happy with the set I got, hope they release a 2.2 x 5.25 size
That would be sweet

Playing with tries are like my favorite 😂
Ok, you sold me on crowley....😮
I'd like to see this directly compared to Megalithics.
We will
I think the tires would look a lot more scale on the rims that are on the other rims that look good but a little less scale
gold or silver compound ?
They have a gold dot on them , you can see it when he is mounting them .
