    Thanks for another great video! I'm using these as references to setup the best configurations for the Bravo throttle - perfect for that. One thing I don't know if anyone has mentioned or if you think it would be helpful, would list in the description or mention at the start in general which version you were running - ie, 'Sim update 2, 3, etc'. Especially from the dev roadmap all of the changes happening to AP and other systems, it's useful to consider when using these for reference, which I assume a lot of people are. Thanks again!

    I'd fly this plane more, but there's just so many non-functional things in the cockpit.

    Those avionics are actually not G3000. It’s Proline Fusion.

    Even nowadays a lot of switches don't work, despite 3rd party improvements...Hopefully a 3rd party creates a study level, like the one for X Plane.

    Enjoyed the video, currently upgrading to the King Air. Perhaps you could talk a little slower so this seventy five year old simmer can grasp what you are teaching ! 😂

    The R in RNAV is for "aRea", NOT "Random Navigation" ... just saying, unless of course it's intended as a funny/slang interpretation of the acronym. Otherwise nice video explaining the default acft.

      Random navigation is an older meaning of the acronym.

    Great video! I'm having issues clearing the "Batt Amp" light after startup in the CAS. Alt/Generators are on, and for some reason the light will not clear and the avionics die in flight.

      Usually weird issues like this are due to controller mapping issues. Even when it appears visually the switches are in the right place.

    What is "back taxi"? Taxiing on the runway?

    • @EllieODaire
      @EllieODaire 3 года назад +2

      Yep! At Princess Juliana the big planes have to get on the runway and taxi to the far end and turn around to take off, there's no parallel taxiway that lets you just roll down there without entering the runway. The bit where you're on the runway taxiing in the opposite direction to get to your takeoff position (or if you land and have to turn around to exit the runway) is called a "back taxi."
      There's some great RUclips videos of this airport where you can see the logistical nightmare of managing lots of big planes landing and taking off on this one runway with all of the taxiways down at that end.

      @@EllieODaire Got ya. Never heard of such a thing until I saw the "Air Disasters" episode about the Tenerife disaster on the Smithsonian Channel. Seems like a REALLY bad way of doing things...lol

    • @EllieODaire
      @EllieODaire 3 года назад +3

      @@rmp5s The Tenerife disaster is exactly why it's a bad idea at an airport where that activity is not standard. Normally back-taxi isn't needed at Tenerife, so you just had the perfect storm of factors come together for that disaster. Princess Juliana is constantly dealing with this situation due to the airport's design, so their instructions are a lot clearer and they're more actively working towards preventing that exact type of incident. The way they manage the limited space they have is downright impressive!
      Basically every series about disasters ends up covering Tenerife, my new podcast addiction Black Box Down did it recently too. 😁
