Wasn’t expecting the Porsche to get out-launched in a dig race but then again with those oem tires and the M3 running on MT ETs it shouldn’t be a surprise. I also wasn’t expecting the Porsche to reel in the M3 either, those S58s are insane. The G80 let off around 148mph but that’s just a standard move that these drivers pull whenever they look in their side mirror and see the other car going fishing 😂

Tires too slippery on the porsche.. you can see what it will do on the top end, just have to get sticky tires now and it will eat pretty much anything

Ur confused bro. The 911 hits WAY harder out of the hole than the M3. Put some MT drag radials on the 911 and some stock cheesy track tires on the M3 and the 911 would have destroyed him.
@@TENNESSEETRACKHAWK No confusion, the G80 X-drive is hitting under 3 seconds in the 0-60 department. There are a ton of "what if" scenarios out i.e, drag radials, bad tires etc that may have merit, but this vid showed what this vid showed. I'm in no way taking away from the 911; it's a monster from the factory and very scary monster tuned, but the G80 S58 is a monster too and a tune xdrive version makes it a very scary monster as well!

Bruh, I don’t disagree, but tires is part of it, not the whole! You do know what a X-drive is, right? Those tuned Xdrive M’s on stock turbo’s are hitting 9s in the quarter on stock turbo’s and Pirelli tires. You’re discounting how the BMW launches and chalking it up to a lack of tires on the 911, which may very well be the case, but you can’t discount the Xdrive power and weight disadvantage.

I test drove a stock m3 xdrive a few weeks ago. I could not believe how fast they are stock. theyre absolutely insane. bad ass cars.

They're making similar power and one is based on a standard sedan while the other is a dedicated and lighter sports car. M3 did great and outlaunched the porsche in this race but we all know if the Porsche had better tires or ran from a roll it won't even be a fair race.

Yes the Porsche response was quick, but you have to be careful where you place your rpm when launching. It sometimes looses power, I did it at Porsche experience center. Great job g80!

If the turbo s had sticker tires I think they’d be side by side until 100 then turbo s would slightly pull. You can see right at the launch dsc cutting power because of grip

I am definitely a BMW fanboy/ an owner of a 23 x3M40 b58 gang. My car will be M3cm. That m3 launch was ferocious, Porsche a different tire set up, that would have ate that bmw alive , because that pull from the Porsche was wild 🎣

Flagger needs to let them build boost. Wait 2 seconds. Second car should already be building boost when first car is getting ready. Just simple things you learn when you do digs for 2 decades. This flagger didn’t know what he was doing and that’s ok but learn and do better next time
That was my immediate reaction after the first race. If the power numbers are correct for both cars, the Porsche should not have been left behind like that, even with the tyres it has (unless the tread is completely shot).

Yes he did lower the psi. We now know the oem tires aren't good enough for this power level at digs even with lowered psi.

Porsche spun badly on both launches with those horrible tires, i have a 2022 Turbo S that is bolt on with 93 tune and had a bolt on E30 M4 Comp and the 911 is a much faster car but those tires suck. When mine was stock it would hook using launch control, now it spins every time.
Something doesn't add up right. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
BMW: 750 hp to the wheel, 4000 lbs., with bolt-ons.
Porsche: 720 hp to the wheel, 3500 lbs., with bolt-ons.
A normal stock Porsche 911 Turbo S does 0-60 mph in about 2.5 seconds, and I've seen as little as 2.3 (with no roll-out). That's a NORMAL Porsche off the rack. This Porsche has mods in it. One would think it would do 0-60 mph just slightly faster than a stock Turbo S.
The BMW literally dusts the MODDED Turbo S from a dig. What is this BMW doing 0-60? 1.8 seconds?! I tried timing it with a stopwatch and the best I got was 2.6 for the BMW 0-60.
Possibilities:
-Yes, the BMW is simply that great!
-The Porsche driver had trouble with his car.
-The Porsche driver needs more track time to make himself a better racer.
-The Porsche owner simply got an incompetent tuner to mod his car.
