After bashing my head against a game ready model for the past 3 months this video fills me with both a strange sense of hope and hopelessness all at the same time
Haha to be fair it isn’t the same process, sculpting is one part of a longer process of a game ready model, and you wouldn’t sculpt like this for a model you want to animate. I know or heard of some game companies spending 3 months for a game ready model (not saying it will take that long, but yeah it is a process)
Been a long time coming for him to be able to do this so easily😅. I watched from when he started and I can clearly say a lot has improved especially his psychological approach to it
The better you are, the easier it seems to us. It's fun to watch how "easily" you create and it immediately inspires someone to do the same. But then you soon face reality and face your own willpower and lack of determination to overcome the rough beginnings can soon bring a quick end and eventually leave you feeling how hard it is to reach a level like yours. I understand that the intention is to keep the video short and to the point, but it can be misleading.😊
I don't understand, this is a short showing the process in a minute, which it does, if you wish to see long format videos I have a lot of those, I also have a full walkthrough for this one, check last video. If you wish for art advice i got videos for these too. I even talk about a lot of art advice and how you should be patient and not rush, also during my streams. Try to take a video for what it is intended, we will always be disappointed if we expect something and get something diff, even if both are valid. Hope that helps, and thanks for the feedback :)
@@yansculptsIt's perfectly fine the way you do it, I just wanted to point out a general phenomenon that appears in such short sketches. You are good at what you do and that is important. Have a nice day, thanks for your response.
What the heckle. You make it look so easy. I swear i make most meshes in vertex edit mode. I guess i havent gotten good enough at sculpting. Seems like any model i could ever produce to look okay with sculpting will be high vert.
I saw your work for the first time about a year ago, really liked that you show sculpting is easy, got me inspired to start my journey in 3D. 9 months later, sculpting is actually not THAT hard, the anatomy is Though the hair from curves is suuch a pain in the ass to put correctly!

depends on you, can take years, or 2, or 1, how efficient and good you are in practice, consistency, etc will play a big role. Most ppl won't be that efficient right away, so a few years prob if you are serious
Here I am, still looking at the default cube in Blender.
it is hypnotising!
Delete it!
😹
Relatable🥲
@@Chi5373 ignore my workflow where i go delete cube, add reference image, add cube
the way you use grease pencil to add extra stuff is really cool and the LOW POLY HAIR! god damn it just work so well together
thanks!
as someone who has took a 3d course this looks like a nightmare i admire 3d artists a lot
Really? I think it becomes fun once you go past the post stage!

@@yansculpts it becomes fun once its no longer a class, course or a job, i used to enjoy cooking as a hobby, but now despises it
Blender is a nightmare in the beginning. But you just slowly become better until you don't notice it anymore.
@yansculpts I have a question about your course is it one time payment or monthly i would like to learn from you.
My toxic trait is thinking I could do this easily

Haha!
Until you try it then accidentally create a monster that would ruin childhoods if ever implemented into a movie.
