A HUGE feature Missing from the Samsung Watch 4 is the DISCONNECT ALERT. My Active 2 Watch would Alert (Audible & Vibration) me when it lost connection with my Samsung Phone. This is a VERY USEFUL feature that prevented me from accidentally leaving my phone somewhere.
@@xVinVinZx nevermind I see it. Mines on..."connections" is the only header under settings that you have to modify from the watch itself, can't see it from the Wear app
I upgraded from the Active 2 earlier this year and I'd say the Watch 4 is better is almost every regard. My Active 2 would lag a lot while moving around the interface but the Watch 4 is so smooth. Also the voice input for messages on the Watch 4 is able to capture what I'm saying perfectly and do it much faster than the Active 2 did.
@@MidnightGeekSS I've had the watch for over a year now and have never had any issues with the battery life. I do not use it to track runs or biking though so I'm sure it would drain faster with that. On days where I walk many miles, the battery life will get down to around 50% or so. I charge it every night.
just bought a second hand pristine stainless steel model, watch active 2 44mm with 80 bucks. Amazing watch, the battery lasts quite a lot with BT + gestures, something like 4 days. It never gets hot, it looks very elegant like a normal watch and I absolutely love it. Played a bit with a gw4 in the stores, it has hot to the touch, I do not like the gapless bands and also the design is a bit more boxy which i do not like. Sure, it has more apps and that's it's biggest pro, but i bought my watch for what it is, a watch, so a fashion accessory which can also tell me some info and it does that very very well. so gw active 2 for me.
The gw4 is a little bigger than the gw2 (44.6mm). The gw4 is lighter than the gw2. I like the flat gw4 a bit better. As for the bezel lag, I heard today that there is a new update coming that fixes that issue as well as some new faces. I find the gw4 screen to be sharper and clearer than the gw2. Google Maps , pay, Gboard, and hopefully soon, Google assistant....
I hate the battery life on all my samsung watches by the 2nd yr. I'm on my 3rd one now (active 2)it dies about every 36 hrs😢 would you say the 4 is the same as your active 2?
last year i bought watch 3 version but can't use electrocardiogram and blood oxygen, now i also want to buy watch 4 version because there are more superior features, i don't know if this time is the same like the previous version or not? bit confused.
has anyone experienced the step counter of the gw4 to be inaccurate? I need a watch mainly for health reasons... and also is the battery life really that bad?
I received the galaxy active for Christmas and it did not last. The back cover came off within 6 months. I replaced it but the watch stop holding a charge and wouldshut off. I contacted Samsung with no succes on getting the problem resolved or replaced.
I started out with the Active 2 & loved it but had to upgrade to the 4 due to battery issues... Eventhough I really did like some of the newer features on the 4 (especially the blood/oxygen widget), because of the body style, it just wasn't the right fit for me. I just liked the body style of the Active 2 so much better & really missed it so going back to that one, for me anyway, it was just a no-brainer & it's a much better fit. Both of the Active 2 watches were the rose gold, which was a deal breaker, and the 4 was the beige (closest to the rose gold). Also, the first two were 40mm & the second Active 2, used, turned out to be the 44, rather than the 40 which I really don't mind, I don't see 'that much' difference in the two, my deal breaker was the color, not the size. I was able to use the 4 as a trade-in to offset some of the cost of our new computer so win-win ;)
I've had my Galaxy watch for 2 years now and absolutely love it. Don't know why samsung got rid of tizen in the latest models, since Google just eats up battery life. I want to upgrade due to software updates and such but I love my watch active 2. If I keep this watch, do you think it will become unsupported, in terms of the phone to watch connection and features and such?
Well why not wait until that happens. It's probably years away still until that happens and by then they will have a better and nicer watch than the 4 I'm sure.
Hey buddy I have a qs I am a iphone 6s user …nd been in ios ecosystem for 6+ years …now my iPhone 6s is giving me troubles after ios 15 update its laggy nd horrible battery backup…. So should I switch to pixel 5a or u have any other good alternatives I need a good camera,nd mediocre performance cuz I don’t play games Plz help brother
If you are aiming to change the ecosystem and you are looking for a good camera, and mediocre performance mmm. i recommend pixel 5 or 4 a. I recommend the 4 a because it is cheaper
You can buy a galaxy s20 plus it would be around 500 the black one. You will have decent performance and excellent camera for average consumer. You will eventually complain about the ecosystem due the change from apple to android. Apple downside is that they destroy their old devices with the updates, but android will eventually be laggy due the apps updates it will demand more RAM. The pixel is just like the iphone. It will update until the phone is not more able to handle it and it will be very slow or apps will crash. Other android devices update until a certain version to preserve the usability of the device. Even OnePlus is an excellent option but this camera is more average depending of the version you are getting. Need to pay attention to the specs.

Gw4 watch face pls ?
Another 8 minute video painfully dragged out to half and hour. Efficiency at it's finest.
Are the active2 straps compatible with the galaxy watch4 classic ? Since they re both 20mm ..?
Yes
I wont upgrade to watch 4. Probably will wait for watch 5 or watch 6.
