Great review! I pre-ordered the S23 (going back to Android after trying out the iPhone 13 Pro for a year lol) and wanted to get one of the Galaxy Watches. Decided to go for the 4 instead of the 5, since there isn’t that big of a difference and I was able to find one on eBay for a decent price lol. Was looking for some videos on the Watch 4, and am glad to see you’ve made quite a few about it!

For the watch active, have you tried using another watch-face in AOD mode? As far as I know, AOD always shows the watch-face as it is, except for the background image + clock watch-face. :)

I always love your videos. I was thinking of buying it but since I watched ur last video I got it in green 44mm. It's nice just the battery life may be a little short.....well I charge it everyday so not a problem for me tho.

I am planning to buy it and i will use it as follows:
1. AOD will be off so when i raises my hand then i can see the watch.
2. Just receive notification for whatsapp, emails without reading them and SMS.
3. Just accept or reject the calls .
4. One or two times to measure heart rate and spo2.
5. Use normal face unanimated.
6. Intensity automatically.
7. Just connected to wifi.
8. Remove it before sleep.
In this case do you think i will get three days?
I just bought this watch yesterday evening and I get it on the 6th and I got the watch in the pink color. Very excited to get it in the mail so I can set it up with my phone.
She is great. I have no intention of buying a Samsung watch but can't stop watching, always great tech review.

I just recently upgraded from my galaxy watch active 2 to the Galaxy Watch 4 because of a fault on my active 2 and I've to say this free upgrade is so worth and the fact that I can use Google play on my Watch makes the experience better
What was wrong with your active 2 that Google gave you the free upgrade?
I'd like to know this too, my galaxy 2 just glitched out yesterday and died. I'm so lost without a watch but don't want to shell out over $200 for a new one 😫
I started out with the Active 2 & LOVED IT but I had battery issues so I ended up upgrading to the 4, and as much as I did like some of the newer features, the body style just wasn't for me so I actually went back to the active 2 & for me, it's just a better fit. I used the 4 as a trade-in for a new computer ;)
The gpu improvement is actually tbd. even the samsung product manager didn’t know if it was 10x faster or 10% faster (what it was stated in the video)

You can now get Google Assistant ( Beta 3rd party ) and it works really well. So hopefully an official full version will follow soon.
Love this watch but it still has gmail notification issues, and you still can not add your own ringtones, battery life is not as good as previous Gear S3 range...awaiting Samsung to address these.....

Great video! Although I must note, I have a oneplus phone and it's missing the camera controller and the sleep tracking is very basic, only records data from your previous night of sleep. 2 features I hope gets added for other Android phones in the future. :[

I've recently been eyeing this watch 4, like i knew it has a lot more promising features and stuff but, having to charge it everyday is a little turn off. I mean I've been using Mifit for almost a year, i know it's nothing compare to this series but with this smartband last for almost two weeks, I'm kind of getting too comfortable with this cycle. Any encouragement on whether I still need to change or not?

@@mellsc766 No, I decided not to upgrade at this time.
I downgraded to the galaxy watch 2 active 44mm because the battery life was atrocious. I get 4-5 days with conservative use with the active 2 minimal sensor use and if I did the same settings with the watch 4 44mm I'd get 2 days at the most. No idea why the more efficient processor didn't contribute to better battery life. maybe it's that new sensor hogging the power.
Speed is exactly the same when scrolling notifications... can't see any difference at all. Just a big sluggish to power on from a dead battery but it settles pretty fine after.

Active 2 has A few hours more, but you can do certain things on the watch 4 to increase battery life by limiting stuff

The only thing on maps is that the blue circle 🔵 moves but once it goes out of the screen size it doesn't move like on the phone keeps track on u

With Google maps on the Galaxy watch 4 and watch 4 classic yes you can scroll on Google maps you just have to tap and hold it and then it will change to a different icon and then you can scroll around
