I got told by a police man who pulled Peter Kay over in Manchester that his first words to them was you’ve only pulled me over because I’m fat 😂 they burst out laughing and told him to continue on his way 😂
I love the way British comedians stay so themselves around Hollywood stars in our lighthearted chat shows. One of my favourites of all time is "Greg Davies' ridiculous story on Graham Norton." Ryan Gosling loses it😂
Hilarious interview! Apparently Peter is a very private person about his personal life and tends to make these interviews into a performance to avoid personal questions. Did a very similar thing on the Alan Carr interview which is also amazing. Kind of makes sense when one of the only questions asked was about his weight/health (not meant in a mean way I'm sure). Obviously he has obligations to meet for promo etc but chooses to do it in his own way. Bravo
Peter Kay on ‘this morning’ with Emon and Ruth talking about dogs lipstick is funny as. Emons innocent mind makes it even funnier 😂…. Also phoenix nights by him OR max and paddy. So funny. I went to watch him years ago, the minute he walked out, I cried with laughter til he left the stage…. Such a funny funny man
The guy was Will Young, who won the first series of Pop Idol. The show involved Simon Cowell who did everything he could to make Will lose as Simon preferred the other finalist Gareth Gates (who was not as good an artist as Will) - think the sour look was his recollecting events of Pop Idol
Lol, not as good, Gareth was a better singer and had something Will didn't, a personality, he was funny also and unlike Will could laugh at himself also unlike Will he didn't take himself to seriously.

Peter, like Lee Evans, is a very private person and will always act up like this during interviews to put off questions about his personal life, which i absolutely respect them for

If you like this, you will love the Graham Norton Show. He gets some really big names on his couch, and he just gets them drunk and telling stories. There are shorter clips so you don’t have to watch a full episode. I thought it was going to be pulled off air, such was Jonathan’s provocation of/ banter with Ms Dickinson. Absolutely hilarious! I 😂🤘
Peter Kay is hilarious and always causes chaos on shows. I love the song Sleep he has done with Sharleen Spiteri and Texas and the songs for Comic Relief like Is This The Way to Armarillo and the Abba written somg I Know Him So Well sung as Geraldine with Susan Boyle 😍
Peter Kay on a previous incarnation of the Jonathan Ross show in the 2000s sang "Is this the way to Amarillo" with the house band, and it sent the song back into the charts and gave a boost to Tony Christie's career.
Peter on the Alan Carr show is a complete riot. And if you haven't seen Craig Ferguson with Ricky Gervais please do 😂 Also Craig and Robin Williams - legend!
There's a legend about Peter Sellers in a 1950's film where his false moustache peeled away from his upper lip and he improvised the line... 'Excuse me - creeping alopecia' and then stuck it back on his face. I believe it was an outtake that made it to the cut.
Peter's a really private man. I've watched alot of interviews and I've noticed that he never gives anything personal away. He always funny. It's very clever of him. I think he's brilliant 😊
'Phoenix Nights' is a must watch! The 'Geraldine' character was what he did for 'Britain's Got the Pop Factor' a spoof of Cowell type talent shows. Also a must watch.

If you want to check out some of Peter's non-stand-up material, he did an episode of Channel 4's Comedy Lab called "The Services", a fake documentary in which he played several parts. This led to "That Peter Kay Thing" which was six individual stories but featured some returning characters. The first episode, "In The Club" served as a pilot for Phoenix Nights which was set in a working-men's club. Kay played club owner Brian Potter and bouncer Max. After two series it spawned a spin-off, "Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere." He made a one-off special lampooning reality and talent shows called "Britain's Got the Pop Factor... and Possibly a New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly on Ice." This is where the Geraldine character appeared. His most recent series was "Peter Kay's Car Share" where he played a supermarket manager who gives a female colleague a lift to work every day.
I've recently found your channel and think you're both great fun, especially Jess when she starts giggling. Peter Kay is brilliantly funny whatever he does. I've seen his live shows twice here in UK and had aching cheeks with tears running down them. I've also been to Micky Flanagan live and he is hilarious in a different way to PK. I arrive in Florida on Thursday 23rd next week, my first visit to US. Staying at New Smyrna Beach down the coast from you guys. Keep up the good work!
Peter kay's 'interview' (in the loosest sense of the word) on the final Michael Parkinson show, is fantastic and more of the same. (also featuring David Attenborough, Billy Connolly, Michael Caine and David Beckham)
There was a famous show called Parkinson who was the host. It was on for a long time and Peter Kay was so good on that show, especially the finale you need to watch it!
