Thanks! I think it's important to remember that all of these tools are exactly that, tools for the job. They don't always work in every situation but the more you know about them, the more often you'll be able to use them in your projects with great results!
That was a 360 flip or tre (pronounced tray) flip not a kick flip. Notice how the board rotates 360 by rolling and yaw. If it were a kickflip it would only roll. The direction of rotation matters too but thats neither here nor there like the entirety of my comment.
@@envatotuts also i would love to tell you that i really liked the way you brought the solution by explaining everything intead of just giving away the quick tip! was really interesting!
Very interresting. Maybe it would be better to mask the skateboarder out of the forground and then apply the slow motion separatly to him and the foreground. then put the two together. Of course it is a lot more of work but curious to see the result. Thanks
It sure does, it's actually also called Optical Flow. Right click on your footage in the timeline and go to speed duration, set your speed (lowering it to something like 50% for example) and then in the time interpolation settings you select optical flow. The caveats about what footage works best with this technique apply just the same as in the DaVinci Resolve version so have a play around and see what works for you.
If i only can shoot with 25 fps but i still want to get a bit slow motion in postproduction by using optical flow: is it better to use a faster shutter speed (like 1/80 oder 1/100 instead of 1/50) in order to reduce motion blur?
TUTORIAL STARTS AT 4:09.
You sir are the goat
Thanks.

Thanks for the tutorial! Might I suggest popping on a ~5 frame crossfade on your audio edits to round off the reverb in your studio.
thank you! you wanna skip it to 6:05
'Destroying' the industry you are :P Thanks!!
please make more and more video for Da vichi resolve, this channel is so good for learning💙💙
Could've been a 5 min vid. :)
😂
Very good, especially showing where it does and doesn't work.

that is so cool
makes me wanna get the studio version 👀
There's so many great tools in the free version but the studio version definitely has some advantages!!
Amazing tutorial, I'll put in practice, thanks!

When I edited this video I realised my mistake but decided to leave it in, in the hope that someone would be invested enough to correct me haha!

thank you!
Your welcome.
Very helpful, thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Does Premiere have an equivalent-ish capability? Thanks...

Optical Flow and Speed Warp are available in the free version
Neat - does adding motion blur OFX to the mix help mask any of the weirdness?
It's a good idea, definitely something to experiment with
Good information, but took very long to get to the point.
Why i have Resolve big watermark then render with optical flow and speed wrap?
it may be studio version only. I remember getting something like that when i wanted to use the denoise and it also said I needed the studio version
Wow! Who knew? Thanks for this!
Damn I was stoked on following this tutorial up until it wouldn't let me use speed warp and tried pushing the studio version on me.
I wish I had read your comment earlier. I only have the free version
oh so no wonder why optical flow and speed warp make no difference when slowing my 30fps vid down to 25%. its because i have the free version of D.R
really a kick flip? 🤦🏽♂
Pior que o terceiro exemplo pode ser usado de forma artística em alguma cena!
Interesting
Good but too much repetition. Yes....get to the point.
Hi, just today saw tutorial. great it works but how to solve the last clip "JELLY" motion problem??

Yes but not much more than 1/100 I'd say
Ease up on the Dagga and get to the point.
I dont trust guy who uplad file in full hd
Interesting
