It means a lot of things, it's not just about food. A lot of people say they "caught the itis" when they're sick but don't know what it is. At least that's what they'd say in louisiana, idk if it's just for food in other states.

I learned later in life too that with herbal tea you’re supposed to steep them for 10-20 minutes. Makes a big difference in both flavor and the medicinal benefit! 💖
With caffeinated teas it’s the opposite, if you step them to long they become bitter and actually release a compound called tannins that are harsh on your stomach and can cause nausea.
The rule of thumb for teas are:
White Tea 1-2 minutes at 175 degrees
Green Tea 3-4 minutes at 185 degrees
Black Tea 4-5 minutes at 205 degrees
Herbal 10-20 minutes at 205+ degrees

Okay but as someone who lives in louisville and once worked at doba, I wouldn't be surprised if the eastern pkwy had the highest income. They're right next to the downtown bar district, pre-pandemic they were open until 2 am and closed for 1 hour to prep breakfast and then reopened for the rest of the day lol They opened at 3 for breakfast and breakfast would be sold out by 3:30, it's INSANE. Anyways, this was stupid and no one cares but I just had to chime in tbh that doba is absolutely an experience

Ginger ale is mild, ginger beer is non alcoholic but it bites, it's strong, it's good for tummy issues and nausea, my husband loves the taste but I'm not much for ginger, but if you do you'll love it, and it's best as cold as you can get it, and I hear it mixes well with some alcohols
