If you want to steer whether this selfmade goo stays on the ground, making a water pillar or staying on top just make a mixture from polypropyleneglycole (PPG) and glycerol (G) without the flour! More PPG it sinks and stays on the ground and more G cloud or pillar.

how do you no for sure it catches fish?? I catch a huge amount of fish without goo glunck, scents , magic potions etc ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, surely it washes away within seconds especially in warmish waters

The problem with home make goo is the baking powder does tend to separate and go to the bottom of the container so you have to frequently stir it up !
