(RARE?) Rockwall County IPAWS RMT on KHKS-FM (EAS

I just so happened to be listening to 106.1 Kiss FM (KHKS) when all of a sudden I heard EAS headers. I immediately began recording and was shocked to find out this is a IPAWS RMT issued by the Rockwall County Office of Emergency Management. I’m still in shock about this because of I’ve never heard or seen an alert like this before ever as a EAS enthusiast. If I find out anymore information about this I will update this description. Hey iHeart, since you can relay IPAWS weekly’s now, teach Townsquare Media in Shreveport a lesson and relay all alerts from NWR & WBAP on KHKS. Would love to see if Townsquare Media will get their act together or not. Anyways awesome catch!

Interesting. Still find this very odd because this was sent out as a RMT, and usually those are not originated via IPAWS and are statewide, not for one county.

@@NorthTexasEAS it could be a different policy for Rockwall county. In Cooke county and Grayson county, anything Ema sends via ipaws they send it as a civil emergency message.
