  • Dress up the front of your house by replacing the worn grass that leads to your door with a Do-It-Yourself colored concrete paver walkway that curves from driveway to stairway.

I like the presenter's tone and manner. He is friendly and encourages you to do this yourself. Nice job!

Hi there , I just started doing this using concrete mix and it’s been challenging , the concrete mix has too much gravel and it’s hard to smooth it I have gravel all over the edges etc ,, was thinking to switch to cement for a better smoother finish .Do you have any advice ?

Not If i like a retaining wall. But over all it looks good.

I want to use that same concrete pattern in my backyard, how mich of the grass do I need to remove without using a retaining wall?

How much did this cost you to do this size area? After buying the mold and concrete seems that a brick patio would be cheaper.

but the sand wasn't compacted in any way what's to stop it shifting

Rock crushing removed stone or bricks can result in the colored material wanted. Reuse 1400 year old stone to form a cobblestone path. The forms used here semi too perfect. Cobblestones looked uniform however were placed by hand. Some really well done projects. These forms could be made from wood too. Interesting colors develop.

No gloves. No dust masks. I'm not usually a member of the safety brigade, but I know first hand what concrete work can do to unprotected skin.

I've watched a few videos of people doing this type of concrete work and have yet to see even one of them use gloves or a mask. One person said they should... but then didn't.

rcredmon , I’ve done a fair amount of concrete work without a mask or gloves and I’m still around.
That old dude showing them how to do it looks healthy enough.

Very pretty with the added color...but I am concerned about carrying and mixing the concrete myself, as a woman alone. Looks like its best to have a couple do this...or put on the "Honey do list"

I can't stand that term - 'honey do' list. What a pathetic phrase, making women sound so useless and dainty. So you're a woman, so you're alone. What exactly is your concern? That the concrete mix will eat you up? Just stop whining and do the job rather than waiting for a man to come rescue you. Truly pathetic.

No idea. Don't use a hose when the finish is straight edges 🤔🤔. Don't wear dress clothes. Them stones will slide all over as soon as you step on them and sink in the 3 inches of unwhacked sand you laid. Shocking job.Don't get Ron. Do it yourself!! But not this way.

No safety gear? Just regular sand in between the pavers? That’s going to transform from a walkway into a weed way in 2 months.

Should have used pavers and block but very informative.

I became intrigued with the concrete as they used here but later decided I'm not strong enough to handle all those concrete bags. Instead I have decided to buy pavers and have them delivered from Home Depot for $80 and save me that part of the struggle, but this video was very good although I have found two other products that are widely recommended that will set and hold the pavers in place after sweeping in spaces and wetting lightly...

iv seen some people say not to leave the concrete in the mold because it will expand and stick to the mold...do you remove the mold as soon as its filled or do you wait a certain amount of time,i have bought a mold and want to do it correctly thx?

Don’t do this it looks terrible , it’s not cheap you will need a lots of concrete and it’s time consuming. Just spend the money for natural stones or pavers it’s much better . This just looks cheap and stupid . We gonna remove it
