Not only is this my favorite Reiwa Godzilla design, this is ACTUALLY my favorite Godzilla in general! Because, he is looks like he is combined with Shin, Heisei, Legendary, Fw, 1954, Gemstone, Millennium, AND GmK! And I cannot WAIT to see what the atomic breath would look like too!
Minus 1 Godzilla looks phenomenal. I like how the top half has a distorted, half human half reptile appearance. It makes him look like what he is supposed to be, a monster.
Yeah, he looks really badass, his eyes are rather human, looks like a cross between 1993 Godzilla and The Legendary one. The 92-95 Godzilla has feline like eyes and the legendary Godzilla has reptilian eyes unlike the new M1 Godzilla, we really haven’t seen a Godzilla with humanistic eyes, it’s very unique and rather creepy.
Well in my opinion, it became my 6th favorite design became just like RideGoji it's mix between Monsterverse and Heisei designs but with big back plates because that's one problem with most Godzilla designs is that their back plates aren't big enough compared with 2000's and MinusGoji's so that's why it's my 6th favorite.
Honestly I love this design, this is definitely the perfect Godzilla design for the movie, Godzilla having scarred skin, a terrifying demeanor, angry and full of rage for what has been done to him, he bringing fear into the heart of Japan, it fits the tone that Yamazaki seems to be going for, a darker serious post war period piece movie where Godzilla is back to his roots, he will basically be that reminder of the atomic bombs and at least in my opinion, victim of the atomic bombs himself as I doubt he always looked like this, he is extremely pissed off and angry, Godzilla taking his anger out on a Post war crumbled nation of Japan that was also impacted themselves but are also struggling to rebuild, Yamazaki is a genius, he has been building up to this all along ever since Godzilla's first cameo in 2007, all he had to do was just wait for more advancements to improve the design and get approval to make a Godzilla movie from toho, and as the years passed Yamazaki slowly has been updating his Godzilla to make him more terrifying and badass as well, it's pretty cool if you look at things now, MinusGoji has been going through an evolution that, Yamazaki set his Godzilla design for the movie over a decade ago and we did not even notice until now. I also think his height being around 50-60 meters works for this kind of movie, it will give Godzilla that terrifying presence Yamazaki wants to portray him as and allow it also for him to interact with Japan and the humans more in the story than if he was bigger. We will be able to see the fear these people will be facing amidst a kaiju attack from a kaiju born from the ashes of a horrific war. Godzilla will not only be their reminder of the war but he will also be their worst nightmare.

This is definitely a strong contender for me for favorite design, but it might be recency bias (Gamera's new Rebirth design is also suspiciously my favorite right now). In any case these proportions appeal to me more than Shin, Earth, Singular Point, etc, and possibly the Gigan Rex Godzilla design. I like the idea of the bigger dorsal fins moreso than bigger tails. Much of Minus One sort of depends on its potential to be the best thing ever (most expressive, most motivated in its rampage, etc). Once the film comes out and it either does or doesn't live up to these concepts, we will better be able to judge where it lands I feel
