Deicyide. I've made myself use a hand cannon and get good with it but it killed my KD for awhile and I kept wanting to switch back to an auto rifle. But it was worth it.
I love hand cannons. I got the rare Azimuth DSu and it can 2 tap which id pretty great. I like that someone is covering hand cannons as not many people know how to use them.
Its so funny that you mention that weapon Lupo because I've been wanting to make a new series covering all the blue weapons in this game especially that one!! I've already got the game footage, just need to get the video made haha

Fair warning, I play on PS4 so there may be a little bit of a difference from console to PC, but what I would recommend to win more aerial engagements is to fire a shot before you jump into the air, then jump while you aren't zoomed in / aiming down sights, and then fire another hand cannon shot when you are hit the peak of your jumping trajectory. The apex is a phenomenal position to take a shot while jumping because its when you are moving the least, but it appears to your opponents that you are moving the most. Also, just before you are about to land, take another shot. Give that a try and see how it works as that is what I try to do on Console and it works pretty well :)

Great video! Probably the best out there for using hand cannons. I've been practicing using them while airborne in pve but it seems that 3/4 of the time I land a headshot it doesn't register cause of being airborne I guess. Are some hc's better and more accurate than others from the air? I wish D2 still had the Icarus perk. Any advice which ones do better while airborne?
Thank you so very much tjpaem as I thought it might help you out and I'm glad that it did :D!! As for your question, in-air accuracy with just about any weapon is complete garbage as of right now. Come March 27th with all the sandbox updates, that could easily change, but we won't know until then :/. If I had to say which hand cannon does the best while airborne, I'd say Better Devils just because of Explosive Payload. Its got a radial effect making a larger hit box to obliterate guardians ;)
@Deicyide Dawnblade main here. I use Attunement of Sky and Judgment as my primary HC (used to be attached to Dire Promise but I really prefer the range perks on Judgment and boost to ADS strafe). While I agree that HCs are way more potent on Hunters, the ability for a Dawnblade to initiate combat in the air with the HC with no dip in accuracy and while sustaining height advantage is not to be understated. Icarus Dash helps you reposition and you can even use it aggressively to cover more ground quickly and position yourself behind cover to engage in combat. With Transversive Steps equipped, I feel faster than even my Way of the Wind Arcstrider at times. This play style really suits the tips and points you made about HCs in your video, so thanks for such a great piece of content.

Deicyide Thanks dude! Funnily enough I could never get the hang of Better Devils. Must be a rhythm thing. Everyone swears it's the best but I just prefer the cadence of Judgment. On the topic of Dawnblade, I think Attunement of Flame definitely has the potential to be the best Super class in the game, but the neutral game of Attunement of Sky trumps it in general PVP play. Just my opinion. Once you figure out you can chain infinite Icarus Dashes together while you're in Super, it gets a whole lot easier to chase down enemies with it and avoid getting shot out of the sky. It reminds me a lot of the infinite dodge during Arc Blade, which is my alternate class. Currently my load out on Dawnblade is Judgment, Red Mamba, Sins of the Past, and Transversive Steps. With the ability to glide continuously while aiming your rocket launcher, you basically become an AC130 when you load heavy.
I've been hearing more and more wonderful things about nature of the beast Martin!! Its about time I give that hand cannon a thorough try and see how that monster really is :D

Thanks man, i know i mostly comment on your old videos but i there so helpful and is there any mods to get that make it shoot faster? because i have a certain hand cannon that shoots particularly slow but it has anti barrier rounds that explode shortly after they got shot by my gun.. also, is there any hand cannons that you get from any mission? like any good ones? if so can you recommend any missions.
All great questions Jaiden and unfortunately, there aren't any faster rate of fire mods to increase a hand cannons or any weapons RoF. As for missions to get good hand cannons, I know there are, but they are all exotic hand cannons. There isn't anything for Legendary hand cannons which is kinda bummer

Both excellent questions tjpaem and the answer is No to both. I never use counterbalance mods for hand cannons and that is because I find that once you get the hang of a hand cannons shot rhythm, its just muscle memory from there! Eventually, you get to the point where your hands and hand eye coordination are so in sync that you don't need couterbalance mods at all. Hope that answers all your questions broski :)
Crossing my fingers for lost prophecy weapon random rolls. The Jack Queen King 3 has such solid stats. Pulse monitor is a bit of a waste though.. Everything from the 91 aim assist up to 86 handling, 100 recoil direction and a 13 round mag. With the changes to Luna and not forgotten and the rise of spare rations maybe some people will pull this out their vault?

Excellent question TJ!! I just use the Default controller setup and a basic PS4 controller that you can buy anywhere. I find that it allows me to transfer from FPS game to FPS game without too much difficulty :)

Since strafe speed is very important when using hand cannons do u run with high mobility on all your characters when using hc's? Is their a certain # u like to stay above for each one?
Another superb question tj!! Yes, I prefer a high mobility on all my characters 24/7 not just when using hand cannons. Reason being is because it gives me a crazy strafing speed as you mentioned, but also allows for faster evasion skills or it makes me feel like I do, not actually sure if it does haha

Quick question, how are u firing off consecutive shots so rapidly even with the slower rate of fire hc's? Are u controlling the recoil with the thumb stick like with other types of weapons? Can u do this with hc's to get the target back on the head quicker?
Yes, that is precisely what I'm doing TJ!! I'm trying to control the recoil constantly with my joysticks so that I can hit more guardians faster. Honestly, it just comes down to understanding shot rhythm and incorporated within that is recoil direction and how to compensate for it! Hope that kinda helps out broski :)

Yes, I def think so Kenny as that is what I try to run on my Titan as well. High mobility with a high resilience for great strafing speed and allows for the maximum damage to be taken!! You are def on the right track Kenny :)
What do you think of judgement ? I've been using it alot lately it feels like it has the best tracking out all hand cannons and is it true that true prophecy gives your enemies 2x the flinch because of the delayed payload thing?
All of those are awesome questions manga so let me answer your first. I really enjoy the Judgement because its got amazing target acquisition and phenomenal strafing capability due to its "Moving Target" perk. In my opinion, its one of the best hand cannons in this game!! As for True Prophecy, yes, it does do 2x the flinch as I am planning on showing a video to demonstrate that exact principle. I am hoping it will be out in the next couple of days :)
Deicyide i was just watching a video about true prophecy and some in the comments had said something interesting this person said it does the highest percision damage if you include the the explosive payload

As far as making another how to use hand cannons video, probably not simply because even with the TTK changes, all the same principles apply that are discussed in this video. However, I am planning on making an armor guide for different play styles and you can bet that video is in the works 😁👍

Palindrome and Eyasluna were both beasts back in D1, but their shot rhythms are completely different from what other hand cannons are in D2. Try and practice a little bit in PvE and then go into crucible to really master the 1 hand cannon your using! Let me know how the tips work brotha ;D

Same thing Jalpesh as those hand cannons are even more important to understand their shot rhythm / shot cadence!!! They require crits to be effective and the best way to do that is cadence for sure 😉👍

When you say that we should s wait for the reticule to reset, do you adjust the recoil, likr push down to lower the amount of recoil or do you just let the hand Cannon Reset by itself
Phenomenal question Reaper and the answer is both things you suggested!! I always pull down and to the left via my right joystick, but I also try to let the reticle reset by letting the weapon fall naturally. Its like quick pull down via joystick, let the hand cannon sight reset for a split second without touching the joystick, fire, and repeat the process. Hope that kinda helps a little bit more broski :)
Deicyide That's probably the first thing to master then because that is the first thing u notice from your shooting that it looks like you have lil recoil how you control it
Exactly right Reaper!! You can get an even better understanding of the timing for when to pull down on the joystick by listening to the bullet sound too. That cadence is extremely noticeable and will really help out with the rhythm!!
I am personally trying to figure out if there is a build that would suit Titan, I am not worried about the special abilities, instead what weapons and weapon types would work for Titan, You said Hunters are best for Hand cannons and side arms but what about Titans and Warlocks, what should they consider.?
What a phenomenal question Maurice!! Let me just say that the reason I said hunters were the best for hand cannons and sidearms was because of their ease of use in aerial combat which is where hand cannons and sidearms can also shine. However, Titans / Warlocks can still easily use hand cannons because each class has a different style of aerial combat. Warlocks can hover, while titans can skate giving huge boosts in lateral movement applying in-air accuracy with hand cannons. Try mastering your titan skating and using hand cannons / sidearms while you are in that horizontal movement. If you can do so, you are bound to catch many guardians off guard ;)

If I had to pick, I'd say that can be readied very quickly so maybe something like an SMG or hand cannon or even a sidearm coupled with some kind of ranged weapon. It really is personal preference, but give those a try mate and see how it goes :)

From playing last night with the new sandbox, all this tips in this video apply the exact same way my friend!! There is absolutely no difference Slightly :). As for the new crucible hand cannon, I just got that last night, but I am going to be trying it out tonight! Who knows, it might just be our next go to hand cannon ;)
Deicyide I played my first match in the new sandbox. The crucible pulse and hc are my new favorite combo, once the solar trace is under control it’ll be possible to compete lol

Right on time! Was just running double hand cannons on my Hunter the past 2 days and found a really nice movement popping in and out of cover while keeping optimal distance(which is very important). This video illustrates a lot to think about that is essential to the use of hand cannons but can also help anyone be more efficient with every other weapon in the game. Running double Cannons over the past 2 days really helped me with map awareness and teammate awareness. A video like this helps me confirm the growth I've been experiencing the last 2 days. We haven't talked much over the past few days, yet, we are on the same page. Lol. Nice! Now I have to practice the Rhythm of the shots because it looks like your follow up shots are just so much quicker. And also with the strafing at a higher number when running those guns. It's always fun going against the meta! What is your Look sensitivity? In some of those shots against 2 Guardians and that Golden Gun your crosshair/red dot just popped from one location to another. Keep'em Salty Brotha!
Chris, you and I are always on the same broski as our brains work in very similar ways!! I knew you would like this video as I did that breakdown of the 1v1 engagement due to your constructive criticism :D!! Without that, I wouldn't be a better content creator then what I was a few months ago. As for follow up shots, I literally don't stop shooting until I see a visual name and a "+1" pop up onto my screen. When that happens, we are good to go, but not until then haha. In terms of sensitivity, I use 9 as a minimum!! It really really helps with strafing, 180 spins, and simply adjusting to other guardians who jump or change directions on a dime. We can def talk more about this later tonight as we could go on for ours discussing this haha XD
This is why I wanna get used to using the true prophecy but, I guess I should try at first using it only on the maps where it feels like the I feel both teams are scrunched together with a fair amount of places to hide. I'll also have to work on exposing myself for only a second at a time.
Chris, props to you for already knowing what you need to work on just from watching the video!! Now that you have identified the problem, all you got to do is practice on fixing it and the best way to do so is constant use of the True Prophecy while peaking continuously :)!! I have a feeling that you are going to be getting those headshots and guardians down extremely fast :D

I was surprised at the amount of information you went through in this vid, I thought it was just going to be about timing shots while ads and adjusting aim and timing to land shots. To be honest I kind of wondered why hand cannons always worked well for me. I'm the type of crucible player that takes point, engages (or dances around to take fire), slids behind cover, and moves to flank while I recover. In short, more info than I expected. Also during tip 2 I think the delay in damage deals more with network latency than it being a hand cannon shot.

@@Diaside BTW -- something interesting I noticed you do is strafe to move the reticle horizontally. (good example at 0:09) You're moving left to right rather than pivoting left to right. When my aim is all over, it's usually because I'm using the right stick way too much. I also bump my sensitivity down to a 2 from a 5 - not sure where you're at - but that helped land more shots.
Ah yes, I strafe all the time and it's something like a habit not since I don't even recognize I'm doing it haha. As for a sens, I'm always playing at 9 which allows for the quick movements and 180 spins. At first, it's difficult to do, but once you get the hang of it, really pays off :)
@@Diaside Dude that's nuts on this setup. Even more props to ya. I used to play on a 10 when I mained a Titan in year 1 but I was using Synthoceps + SMG - was lethal! Loved the quick turn capabilities for that! But I couldn't do that on a hunter and was so inaccurate with a Handcannon it killed my game too much (yeah I look at my stats too much lol)...maybe I just needed to stick with it and practice more. 😎
Not a bad idea at all Darren!! I might just have to make a revamped version of this with the new D2 sandbox. With shotguns everywhere, things have certainly changed

Double upload?! Tight! I still think they’re viable, just have to take a different approach. The way the weapons are now, you really need to play around with Team Ttk now, rather than individual time to kill, and hand cannons become VERY viable with that mindset
Excellent observation and a great analysis Slayer!! Hand cannons in a team shot scenario are Stupendous, but in 1v1's, they can still be viable even against Last Hopes. I am just hoping that they get a little bit of a range buff and if that happens, I'll have no complaints :)
Deicyide most definitely. I’ve been duo Que’ing with a buddy of mine, Ty Snypes. And what we do is pretty legit. We use the new monarchy scout, and the iron banner hand cannon. He plays the support with his scout, and I play the aggressor. So what happens is, I bait their radar, they bite, and 2 shots with his scout and 1 headshot from my cannon and they’re done. Actually amazing! Lol, his bday is coming up btw, would be cool if you gave him a shout out in one of your vids! You’re the man, I’ll be around for a long time! Loving the content

I don't get it first part...so you basically watch not the animation of weapon, but realise (get used to) when to move the mouse and where, and when to press the button? Since animation and everything involved, doesn't show you exactly how you are shooting. For instance, you pressed 3 times now to shoot, hand cannon shows that it made 2 shots, but actually 3 shots already made their target? Or what do I don't understand?
First off, I'm on console my friend so everything that I said was with that mindset and using a controller. As for shot rhythm, it's all about understand a weapons recoil, the animation with the recoil, the sound between bullets timed with the recoil, and visually seeing the weapons reticle land on its target over and over again. Does that kinda help out?

No worries Patty, I got you mate!! Icarus Dash is an innate ability on the Dawnblade subclass in D2. I can't remember which skill tree its found on, but its one of the two found on that subclass. It allows you to do an in air dash to get and out of cover and is extremely beneficial for getting in and out of tight situations!! Def give it a go by double tapping "B" while in air and you will see exactly what I mean. Let me know how you like it? :)
Not stupid at all Fish Bait as you can't change it unfortunately. There are 3 crucible voices... 1 is Shaxx for regular Crucible, 2 is Lord Saladin for Iron Banner, and 3 is the Trials of the Nine female character. If I could change the crucible voice, I'd def change it to Cayde 😁
Cool vid but mobility doesn't affect sprint speed ( just walking speed ) but instead how fast you can strafe and jump so yeah for running around the map, hunter, titans or hunters are all the same but i have to agree that hunters are best for hand cannons :D
@@Diaside idk if it's because I'm not on pvp or anything like that but I've been on moon, Mars, earth, everywhere else normal and I can use all my other weapons like rifles shotguns etc but when I chose any of my hand cannons, I press the fire button and the revolver turns but it doesn't shoot any bullets.
I taught myself how to hipfire headshot with handcannons very consistently, by complete accident, which most of my clan mates find ridiculous. This is completely irrelevant to what Im saying here, but just thought it was worth saying My actual thing I wanna say is practice aerial shooting in PvE by only shooting whilst in the air. It’s what I found as an amazing way to practice it. Now, if this isn’t absolutely amazing like it was for me, i must say, I’m just a PvE player, so don’t quote everything from me plz. Another tip I wanna give, which could really work with any weapon, is always expect ur weapon to body shot. That way u may overshoot, but it will confirm a kill almost all the time, since your not expecting the highest amount of damage output from your weapon, which can also lead to amazingly good feelings when you do 4 tap people.

That is a tough one Dot, but I'll see what I can do... If I was you, I'd try to at least damage the guardian first with 1 or two shots (headshots or bodyshots, doesn't matter) and once that guardian is weakened, take your throwing knife and try to use it the same manor as you hand cannon. Instead of doing an additional shot, you take your throwing knife to finish the guardian off while strafing continuously. If you can do that, I think you will be able to land a ton more shots :)

Fighting lion and throwing knives (way of the sharpshooter, knife juggler perk, gunslinger) were made for each other.. fighting lion takes the health down just enough to allow the knife a precision kill, reloading them both instantly.. pribina is the highest impacting hc and also works nicely with throwing knives as well.. but if the enemies’ resistances are too high, you may need to two shots with the pribina.. the most reliable hc ive used and is magnetized to that crit box if used with a little bunny hop.. knives, and hunter’s melee, also have more crit magnetism when used with a little hop Fighting lion + pribina make a good pair too These two guns are the red headed stepchildren of the game.. they take a lil more practice to get use to but if you get the hang of them.. you’ll pull out crazy damage and kill numbers even with missing the free reload perks..

All the game footage that you see on this channel Duran, is console, specifically PS4. I think what might be happening in your case is you might not be resetting your shot or simply firing too fast. Try listening to the weapons cadence more and PvE is a great place to test this out!! Hope that kinda helps 👍😁
Just focus on the hand cannons shot rhythm!! If you can do that, you are bound to land soooooo many more shots Daniel, I got faith that you can master it my friend ;)
Thank you for the encouragement. But man I’m really trying. I got the duke mk.44 and it’s really good but it’s really hard to land the shots. The optics are really bad(I mean bad in that if you’re in a light color environment, they aren’t as apparent) I used to trust and crimson. With the trust it’s the opposite. I think I just need some suggestions fir hand cannons that are easy to aim.
I have this problem where the moment I move out of cover, I just immediately die, and I don’t know why because when RUclipsrs move out of cover, enemies just stare at them like “Uhhhhhh” and then they die
I rarely get matched up against those types of guardians either Jose, but the point that I'm making throughout the entire video is that I'm not waiting for the crit shots, rather, I'm memorizing the shot rhythm of the weapon which is what is allowing me to land crit after crit. If you can do that too, I've got no doubt you are going to annihilate Guardians ;)
Ah yes, that would be the Better Devils hand cannon and the Black Scorpion scout rifle. Those are the Year 1 versions of the weapon, but as you know, they can both have some awesome random rolls now 👍😄
Deicyide it sure did. I was thinking my shots weren't connecting but now I realize because of this stupid bloom. But I'm making adjustments and instead of playing super aggressive I play support and clean up with my handcannons.

Thanks a ton Rafael :D!! Fair warning, I play on PS4 so there may be a little bit of a difference from console to PC, but what I would recommend to win more aerial engagements is to fire a shot before you jump into the air, then jump while you aren't zoomed in / aiming down sights, and then fire another hand cannon shot when you are hit the peak of your jumping trajectory. The apex is a phenomenal position to take a shot while jumping because its when you are moving the least, but it appears to your opponents that you are moving the most. Also, just before you are about to land, take another shot. Give that a try and see how it works as that is what I try to do on Console and it works pretty well :)

Great video! Probably the best out there for using hand cannons. I've been practicing using them while airborne in pve but it seems that 3/4 of the time I land a headshot it doesn't register cause of being airborne I guess. Are some hc's better and more accurate than others from the air? I wish D2 still had the Icarus perk. Any advice which ones do better while airborne?

Come March 27th with all the sandbox updates, that could easily change, but we won't know until then :/. If I had to say which hand cannon does the best while airborne, I'd say Better Devils just because of Explosive Payload. Its got a radial effect making a larger hit box to obliterate guardians ;)

Dawnblade main here. I use Attunement of Sky and Judgment as my primary HC (used to be attached to Dire Promise but I really prefer the range perks on Judgment and boost to ADS strafe). While I agree that HCs are way more potent on Hunters, the ability for a Dawnblade to initiate combat in the air with the HC with no dip in accuracy and while sustaining height advantage is not to be understated. Icarus Dash helps you reposition and you can even use it aggressively to cover more ground quickly and position yourself behind cover to engage in combat. With Transversive Steps equipped, I feel faster than even my Way of the Wind Arcstrider at times. This play style really suits the tips and points you made about HCs in your video, so thanks for such a great piece of content.

Deicyide Thanks dude! Funnily enough I could never get the hang of Better Devils. Must be a rhythm thing. Everyone swears it's the best but I just prefer the cadence of Judgment. On the topic of Dawnblade, I think Attunement of Flame definitely has the potential to be the best Super class in the game, but the neutral game of Attunement of Sky trumps it in general PVP play. Just my opinion. Once you figure out you can chain infinite Icarus Dashes together while you're in Super, it gets a whole lot easier to chase down enemies with it and avoid getting shot out of the sky. It reminds me a lot of the infinite dodge during Arc Blade, which is my alternate class. Currently my load out on Dawnblade is Judgment, Red Mamba, Sins of the Past, and Transversive Steps. With the ability to glide continuously while aiming your rocket launcher, you basically become an AC130 when you load heavy.
That is the exact same subclass build that I've been running! Great minds think alike :)
I'm running the same style but I'm using nature of the beast as it just destroys supers as I can get above them and it's so satisfying to use

All great questions Jaiden and unfortunately, there aren't any faster rate of fire mods to increase a hand cannons or any weapons RoF. As for missions to get good hand cannons, I know there are, but they are all exotic hand cannons. There isn't anything for Legendary hand cannons which is kinda bummer

Both excellent questions tjpaem and the answer is No to both. I never use counterbalance mods for hand cannons and that is because I find that once you get the hang of a hand cannons shot rhythm, its just muscle memory from there! Eventually, you get to the point where your hands and hand eye coordination are so in sync that you don't need couterbalance mods at all. Hope that answers all your questions broski :)

Everything from the 91 aim assist up to 86 handling, 100 recoil direction and a 13 round mag. With the changes to Luna and not forgotten and the rise of spare rations maybe some people will pull this out their vault?

Excellent question TJ!! I just use the Default controller setup and a basic PS4 controller that you can buy anywhere. I find that it allows me to transfer from FPS game to FPS game without too much difficulty :)

Since strafe speed is very important when using hand cannons do u run with high mobility on all your characters when using hc's? Is their a certain # u like to stay above for each one?
Another superb question tj!! Yes, I prefer a high mobility on all my characters 24/7 not just when using hand cannons. Reason being is because it gives me a crazy strafing speed as you mentioned, but also allows for faster evasion skills or it makes me feel like I do, not actually sure if it does haha

Quick question, how are u firing off consecutive shots so rapidly even with the slower rate of fire hc's? Are u controlling the recoil with the thumb stick like with other types of weapons? Can u do this with hc's to get the target back on the head quicker?
Yes, that is precisely what I'm doing TJ!! I'm trying to control the recoil constantly with my joysticks so that I can hit more guardians faster. Honestly, it just comes down to understanding shot rhythm and incorporated within that is recoil direction and how to compensate for it! Hope that kinda helps out broski :)

Its got great range, aim assist, and has outlaw so whenever you get those critical headshots, it reloads instantly and is very gratifying when that happens :)! Yes, I def think so Kenny as that is what I try to run on my Titan as well. High mobility with a high resilience for great strafing speed and allows for the maximum damage to be taken!! You are def on the right track Kenny :)
What do you think of judgement ? I've been using it alot lately it feels like it has the best tracking out all hand cannons and is it true that true prophecy gives your enemies 2x the flinch because of the delayed payload thing?
All of those are awesome questions manga so let me answer your first. I really enjoy the Judgement because its got amazing target acquisition and phenomenal strafing capability due to its "Moving Target" perk. In my opinion, its one of the best hand cannons in this game!! As for True Prophecy, yes, it does do 2x the flinch as I am planning on showing a video to demonstrate that exact principle. I am hoping it will be out in the next couple of days :)

Love hand cannons, I use Better Devils and Sunshot basically all the time. They feel so good from a game play stand point.

I always pull down and to the left via my right joystick, but I also try to let the reticle reset by letting the weapon fall naturally. Its like quick pull down via joystick, let the hand cannon sight reset for a split second without touching the joystick, fire, and repeat the process. Hope that kinda helps a little bit more broski :)
Deicyide That's probably the first thing to master then because that is the first thing u notice from your shooting that it looks like you have lil recoil how you control it
Exactly right Reaper!! You can get an even better understanding of the timing for when to pull down on the joystick by listening to the bullet sound too. That cadence is extremely noticeable and will really help out with the rhythm!!
I'm doing the Ace of Spades quest and I've played for an hour and only get 5 precision kills per game

I am personally trying to figure out if there is a build that would suit Titan, I am not worried about the special abilities, instead what weapons and weapon types would work for Titan, You said Hunters are best for Hand cannons and side arms but what about Titans and Warlocks, what should they consider.?
What a phenomenal question Maurice!! Let me just say that the reason I said hunters were the best for hand cannons and sidearms was because of their ease of use in aerial combat which is where hand cannons and sidearms can also shine. However, Titans / Warlocks can still easily use hand cannons because each class has a different style of aerial combat. Warlocks can hover, while titans can skate giving huge boosts in lateral movement applying in-air accuracy with hand cannons. Try mastering your titan skating and using hand cannons / sidearms while you are in that horizontal movement. If you can do so, you are bound to catch many guardians off guard ;)

Ah man, that is a superb question Blazer as I am really not sure! If I had to pick, I'd say that can be readied very quickly so maybe something like an SMG or hand cannon or even a sidearm coupled with some kind of ranged weapon. It really is personal preference, but give those a try mate and see how it goes :)

From playing last night with the new sandbox, all this tips in this video apply the exact same way my friend!! There is absolutely no difference Slightly :). As for the new crucible hand cannon, I just got that last night, but I am going to be trying it out tonight! Who knows, it might just be our next go to hand cannon ;)
Deicyide I played my first match in the new sandbox. The crucible pulse and hc are my new favorite combo, once the solar trace is under control it’ll be possible to compete lol

Was just running double hand cannons on my Hunter the past 2 days and found a really nice movement popping in and out of cover while keeping optimal distance(which is very important).
This video illustrates a lot to think about that is essential to the use of hand cannons but can also help anyone be more efficient with every other weapon in the game.
Running double Cannons over the past 2 days really helped me with map awareness and teammate awareness.
A video like this helps me confirm the growth I've been experiencing the last 2 days. We haven't talked much over the past few days, yet, we are on the same page. Lol. Nice!
Now I have to practice the Rhythm of the shots because it looks like your follow up shots are just so much quicker. And also with the strafing at a higher number when running those guns.
It's always fun going against the meta!
What is your Look sensitivity?
In some of those shots against 2 Guardians and that Golden Gun your crosshair/red dot just popped from one location to another. Keep'em Salty Brotha!
Chris, you and I are always on the same broski as our brains work in very similar ways!! I knew you would like this video as I did that breakdown of the 1v1 engagement due to your constructive criticism :D!! Without that, I wouldn't be a better content creator then what I was a few months ago. As for follow up shots, I literally don't stop shooting until I see a visual name and a "+1" pop up onto my screen. When that happens, we are good to go, but not until then haha. In terms of sensitivity, I use 9 as a minimum!! It really really helps with strafing, 180 spins, and simply adjusting to other guardians who jump or change directions on a dime. We can def talk more about this later tonight as we could go on for ours discussing this haha XD
This is why I wanna get used to using the true prophecy but, I guess I should try at first using it only on the maps where it feels like the I feel both teams are scrunched together with a fair amount of places to hide. I'll also have to work on exposing myself for only a second at a time.
Chris, props to you for already knowing what you need to work on just from watching the video!! Now that you have identified the problem, all you got to do is practice on fixing it and the best way to do so is constant use of the True Prophecy while peaking continuously :)!! I have a feeling that you are going to be getting those headshots and guardians down extremely fast :D

I was surprised at the amount of information you went through in this vid, I thought it was just going to be about timing shots while ads and adjusting aim and timing to land shots. To be honest I kind of wondered why hand cannons always worked well for me. I'm the type of crucible player that takes point, engages (or dances around to take fire), slids behind cover, and moves to flank while I recover. In short, more info than I expected.
Also during tip 2 I think the delay in damage deals more with network latency than it being a hand cannon shot.

@@Diaside BTW -- something interesting I noticed you do is strafe to move the reticle horizontally. (good example at 0:09) You're moving left to right rather than pivoting left to right. When my aim is all over, it's usually because I'm using the right stick way too much. I also bump my sensitivity down to a 2 from a 5 - not sure where you're at - but that helped land more shots.
Ah yes, I strafe all the time and it's something like a habit not since I don't even recognize I'm doing it haha. As for a sens, I'm always playing at 9 which allows for the quick movements and 180 spins. At first, it's difficult to do, but once you get the hang of it, really pays off :)
@@Diaside Dude that's nuts on this setup. Even more props to ya. I used to play on a 10 when I mained a Titan in year 1 but I was using Synthoceps + SMG - was lethal! Loved the quick turn capabilities for that! But I couldn't do that on a hunter and was so inaccurate with a Handcannon it killed my game too much (yeah I look at my stats too much lol)...maybe I just needed to stick with it and practice more. 😎

Double upload?! Tight! I still think they’re viable, just have to take a different approach. The way the weapons are now, you really need to play around with Team Ttk now, rather than individual time to kill, and hand cannons become VERY viable with that mindset
Excellent observation and a great analysis Slayer!! Hand cannons in a team shot scenario are Stupendous, but in 1v1's, they can still be viable even against Last Hopes. I am just hoping that they get a little bit of a range buff and if that happens, I'll have no complaints :)
Deicyide most definitely. I’ve been duo Que’ing with a buddy of mine, Ty Snypes. And what we do is pretty legit. We use the new monarchy scout, and the iron banner hand cannon. He plays the support with his scout, and I play the aggressor. So what happens is, I bait their radar, they bite, and 2 shots with his scout and 1 headshot from my cannon and they’re done. Actually amazing! Lol, his bday is coming up btw, would be cool if you gave him a shout out in one of your vids! You’re the man, I’ll be around for a long time! Loving the content

I don't get it first part...so you basically watch not the animation of weapon, but realise (get used to) when to move the mouse and where, and when to press the button? Since animation and everything involved, doesn't show you exactly how you are shooting.
For instance, you pressed 3 times now to shoot, hand cannon shows that it made 2 shots, but actually 3 shots already made their target?
Or what do I don't understand?
First off, I'm on console my friend so everything that I said was with that mindset and using a controller. As for shot rhythm, it's all about understand a weapons recoil, the animation with the recoil, the sound between bullets timed with the recoil, and visually seeing the weapons reticle land on its target over and over again. Does that kinda help out?

AH yes, its set to 9 at the moment, but it fluctuates between that and 10 just depending on the weapons that I am using.

What is Icarus dash? Warlock player here but never played d1
No worries Patty, I got you mate!! Icarus Dash is an innate ability on the Dawnblade subclass in D2. I can't remember which skill tree its found on, but its one of the two found on that subclass. It allows you to do an in air dash to get and out of cover and is extremely beneficial for getting in and out of tight situations!! Def give it a go by double tapping "B" while in air and you will see exactly what I mean. Let me know how you like it? :)

Not stupid at all Fish Bait as you can't change it unfortunately. There are 3 crucible voices... 1 is Shaxx for regular Crucible, 2 is Lord Saladin for Iron Banner, and 3 is the Trials of the Nine female character. If I could change the crucible voice, I'd def change it to Cayde 😁

@@Diaside idk if it's because I'm not on pvp or anything like that but I've been on moon, Mars, earth, everywhere else normal and I can use all my other weapons like rifles shotguns etc but when I chose any of my hand cannons, I press the fire button and the revolver turns but it doesn't shoot any bullets.
I taught myself how to hipfire headshot with handcannons very consistently, by complete accident, which most of my clan mates find ridiculous. This is completely irrelevant to what Im saying here, but just thought it was worth saying
My actual thing I wanna say is practice aerial shooting in PvE by only shooting whilst in the air. It’s what I found as an amazing way to practice it.
Now, if this isn’t absolutely amazing like it was for me, i must say, I’m just a PvE player, so don’t quote everything from me plz.
Another tip I wanna give, which could really work with any weapon, is always expect ur weapon to body shot. That way u may overshoot, but it will confirm a kill almost all the time, since your not expecting the highest amount of damage output from your weapon, which can also lead to amazingly good feelings when you do 4 tap people.

Could you give me any tip of how to mix HC and throwing knives?
That is a tough one Dot, but I'll see what I can do... If I was you, I'd try to at least damage the guardian first with 1 or two shots (headshots or bodyshots, doesn't matter) and once that guardian is weakened, take your throwing knife and try to use it the same manor as you hand cannon. Instead of doing an additional shot, you take your throwing knife to finish the guardian off while strafing continuously. If you can do that, I think you will be able to land a ton more shots :)

Fighting lion and throwing knives (way of the sharpshooter, knife juggler perk, gunslinger) were made for each other.. fighting lion takes the health down just enough to allow the knife a precision kill, reloading them both instantly..
pribina is the highest impacting hc and also works nicely with throwing knives as well.. but if the enemies’ resistances are too high, you may need to two shots with the pribina.. the most reliable hc ive used and is magnetized to that crit box if used with a little bunny hop.. knives, and hunter’s melee, also have more crit magnetism when used with a little hop
Fighting lion + pribina make a good pair too
These two guns are the red headed stepchildren of the game.. they take a lil more practice to get use to but if you get the hang of them.. you’ll pull out crazy damage and kill numbers even with missing the free reload perks..

Exactly right Damon!! I think I'm just the opposite of you as Better Devils is my go to, but Dire Promise is just as good because that thing is so snappy and crispy the it feels like it doesn't miss shots ;)

All the game footage that you see on this channel Duran, is console, specifically PS4. I think what might be happening in your case is you might not be resetting your shot or simply firing too fast. Try listening to the weapons cadence more and PvE is a great place to test this out!! Hope that kinda helps 👍😁

Thank you for the encouragement. But man I’m really trying. I got the duke mk.44 and it’s really good but it’s really hard to land the shots. The optics are really bad(I mean bad in that if you’re in a light color environment, they aren’t as apparent) I used to trust and crimson. With the trust it’s the opposite. I think I just need some suggestions fir hand cannons that are easy to aim.

Here’s the thing, I rarely get matched up against these guys who barely hit you and wait for you to head shot them.
That is not the norm.
I rarely get matched up against those types of guardians either Jose, but the point that I'm making throughout the entire video is that I'm not waiting for the crit shots, rather, I'm memorizing the shot rhythm of the weapon which is what is allowing me to land crit after crit. If you can do that too, I've got no doubt you are going to annihilate Guardians ;)

Ah yes, that would be the Better Devils hand cannon and the Black Scorpion scout rifle. Those are the Year 1 versions of the weapon, but as you know, they can both have some awesome random rolls now 👍😄

How exactly are you using them L4? Are you always aiming down sights while relying on shot rhythm or reaiming every time you take a shot?

Deicyide it sure did. I was thinking my shots weren't connecting but now I realize because of this stupid bloom. But I'm making adjustments and instead of playing super aggressive I play support and clean up with my handcannons.

Deicyide precisely. I Use them exclusively and know exactly what you're taking about. In fact before word of the reload glitch got around, I used cover the exact same way when using no land beyond when it first came out.
