This is essential viewing BEFORE you open up your phone to fix it yourself. I used a different kit i got from Amazon but the tools are pretty much the same. I first watched and followed a "do it in 6 minutes". What a mistake! That video didnt warn me of all sorts of issues that can come up and that you need to be prepared for. I am so glad I found this video! Phew!
Excellent product and video. Just replaced my battery in about 10 minutes. Instead of taking the whole display off I stood it up to 90 degrees and taped the corner of it to a card board box. This let me work with both hands and actually rest my left arm on the box to be sure it did not go anywhere. Thank you!
I needed my glasses and a big light, but OMG I DID IT!!! This old retired nurse is so grateful she doesn't have to try to deal with a new phone quite yet! Thank you!!! I feel so accomplished! xoxo
Scanditech I want to thank you for the video. For those of you reading comments here is my experience. The screen came up easily with a suction cup and a razor blade. It goes without saying a razor blade can damage internals so be very careful using one. But in my experience, the razor was thin enough to fit in and pry up the screen as I pulled with the suction cup. Once I got the screen up I moved it to 90 degrees and had my wife hold it there for me. At this point, I started the battery removal process. Removing the battery was a real pain in the ass. The flap that he shows to pull on with trapped under the battery. Therefore I proceeded to alternate between heat and prying. Found the best tool was an old small key change size YMCA card. This card was small enough that I could work it underneath the bottom left side of the battery. Choose to work here because there was nothing to close to damage. Once I broke the tape away from the battery I was able to slowly pry and pry and get it up. Keywords take your time people it will come up just be patient. Lastly, as Scanditech explains the thumb ribbon cable makes a "click" sound. It's a decent sound make sure you hear it. Good luck to everyone in the future. Once again thanks Scanditech the video was great hopefully the battery is of equal quality but only time will tell :).
Thanks Scanditech! Very informative walkthrough and it made my replacement a breeze. The tool kit is better quality than I thought it would be! The only two issues I had was that one of the bottom screws holding the screen in had broken from the pressure exerted by a bulging battery. It actually had the screen bulging up from the body. The only other issue I had, and it wasn't really an issue, was the adhesive strip had broken off very early. I heated and carefully pried the battery bit-by-bit until it finally released. A word of advice, BE PATIENT AND MOVE SLOWLY!
I found this video very clear and helpful. I used their tool kit and well as their battery. I have purchased several batteries from them. They stand behind their products and have very good customer service.
This video is very well done and immensely helpful - so glad I watched it first. Working slowly, patiently and gently, I got the job done and bought some time before my next phone purchase. Thanks, Scanditech!
We just did this today and it went exactly as described! Thank you so much! Just a few words of warning to those who will attempt this... It took us approximately 30 minutes to do this, but our new battery was completely dead when we installed it, so we had to wait about 10 minutes to charge to 7%. I know that the video said, "at least 3%", but I figured if 3% was good, 7% was more than twice as good! I bought an anti-static mat for about $7 on Amazon. I highly recommend doing this as the screws are EXTREMELY small and the mat had small indentations where I could organize the screws. Besides, it was anti-static which aided in protecting the device while it was open. The hair dryer is a must as it really helped to soften the sticky tape under the battery. It did take more effort than the video, but not a whole lot more. The phone is now performing extremely well! I have two more 5's at home and will probably be ordering additional batteries for them as well! Thanks Scandi Tech for a great product and well thought out video!
Hi there, Thank you for commenting. I'm sorry to hear about the screwdriver problem. We'll be happy to take care of this for you. Please contact us at support@scandi.tech. Regards, John Scandi Tech
Thanks for the video. I just replaced my battery following your instructions and all is well. Getting the old battery unstuck was the hardest part; bent it quite a bit!!!
Just installed the new battery from ScandiTech. It only took me 40 mins and was my first time installing a phone battery (and opening high-tech electronics). I kept the screen attached to skip the extra steps in this tutorial. The hardest part was connecting the touch ID because it doesn't "click" in like the other parts. Rather, it fits in smoothly and the cover tightens it. This tutorial was SO HELPFUL. Thanks! Saved me so much $$$!
Hello Eric, I'm happy to hear that the replacement went well. The home button connector is indeed tricky, especially when doing it for the very first time. The smaller the connector is, the more challenging it is to align and connect it. As you probably noticed, the home button connector is tiny! Regards, ScandiTech
The video was great. The Battery replacement was fair. I spent more time trying to get the screws aligned with screwdriver before placing them in the holes as I install the covers. I would suggest sending extra screws because they are extremely small just in case you lose one. The hairdryer seemed like a great idea had a very rough time tearing the old battery away from the sticky stuff. Took approximately 45 minutes I would recommend using two people and not removing the screen. But the end results the phone worked great, the kit was great, the video was great.
The process is straight forward if you just take your time and have some patience. The walk-through was well done speaking in simple terms. Very important to, as they said, watch the video the entire way through first THEN start the replacement process. Kudos on a great tutorial and thanks for shipping all the needed tools for replacement.
Just received your product and replaced via steps shown in this video. Old battery was worn out to only 650-700 mAh (40%-45% useful) according to Battery Doctor app. New ScandiTech battery shows 100% life (1570mAh). Thanks for the fine product, helpful video, and 12-month warranty!
Very well done. This had better safety and care instructions than the other videos I watched (particularly about removing the battery in a way that safeguards the main board). It also recommends a better way of working with disassembly/assembly of the home button connector. Well done!
this tutor should have way more views then most of them on utube, coz it has the actualy how to put everything right back...not just a f%^king taking off the battery. Thank you very much!!!
TYVM. Works great! -Nice tool kit. -The screws are tiny. -The magnetic screwdrivers both help & hinder. Helpful for picking the screws & removing them. Hinder placement: I had to use a finger tip to pin the screw down, so the driver wouldn't pull them out of position when starting them. -Removing the screen at the beginning is the way to go. -Hairdryer also. -Early Iphone 5S does not have the touch ID capability, so no ribbon cable to the home button to worry about. $25 + shipping & a little TLC beats $600 for a new phone!
Hello ScandiTech, Just used this kit to replace the battery in my 5S. Your instructions and video were very helpful but I ran into one problem *on my end* When applying the new provided adhesive, I dropped it at the wrong angle and couldn't retape since the adhesive twisted pulling it back off the part where the battery lays in. Luckily I had some very thin double-face tape in my house. I used that and doesn't seem to be causing any problems. Moreover I suggest that you guys include an extra set of adhesive strips because I'm sure many people, like me, will also mess that part up.
I have used ScandiTech for replacing bats in my family's iPhone SEs 3x now. I watched several different vids to get the idea, but this one was the best walk-through. I skip the screen removal part because I was confident I could make it work even with my slightly shaky hands - and did. Thanks ScandiTech. #Right2Repair
Thanks for choosing Scanditech. I'm glad to hear about your experience. Yes the replacement can still proceed with the screen attached as long as it is secured in a stable position. But the more experienced ones can do it while it (screen) is just leaning onto something. Congrats!
I couldn't change my battery without this video! Thank you. I will say I did snap my little plastic tools when trying to get the battery out. It was so stuck on the sticker that I had to pry it off with pliers....until I realised the pliers had the battery smoking up
Hi there, Oh that is incredibly risky. The pliers can damage your phone. It is also made of metal. The risk of electrical related damage is too high. Please use the plastic tools. If you need further assistance, please contact our support. Our email address is found in the pamphlet.
Thanks! I made it for the first time. Got in trouble with removing battery. I was frightened at the part of removing the adhesive strips cause there are no lips of the strips to pull out. I found that the lips do not come with the one in the original but with the replacement kit after all.
thank you! very good walkthrough with regards to the battery removal! first one I was watching gave advice which was causing me to bend the battery and may have destroyed it!
Got it all done. Opening case was hard. It was very tight. Case flew apart suddenly, popped apart home button connector and popped off the touchid metal guard. But nothing broke. Battery tape on a 2 yr old iPhone broke off right away. But heat and prying worked. Spare set of screws would be a nice addition. Battery was only 6%. On reassembly it turned out the touch pad cable was not connected. So no way to turn it off - had to just disconnect battery and then go back and reseat the connectors at the top.
Stole a couple of my kid's textbooks and avoided the same mess! Worked fine! Just have to watch all the connecting bits and not go over the 90 degrees angle to open.
Found one and decided the leave the top right corner without since it was stable enough. Phone is on and battery is in perfect condition according to a battery checker app I have. Thanks so much!!! It took like two hours due to issues pulling out things and trying to test the battery but thankfully my phone will last much longer now!!!
I used a different brand to replace my battery (which it’s only step by step instructions were to watch RUclips videos, they didn’t even bother to make their own) so I’m not sure if that’s the reason why I’m having issues, but the part where you say to put the new battery on top of the old one and test it out, it’s not clear to me how to attach the little black piece to the right part. It isn’t shown very clearly in the video, and when I try to put it in place it just moves back up, so when I try turning it on, it won’t, because there’s no battery connected.
Hello there, That's odd. Inspect the screws to make sure they aren't stripped. Are you using the correct screwdriver? The bottom screws are called "pentalobe" screws and you need a pentalobe screwdriver to remove them. If you're unable to remove them, you could go to a repair shop and ask them nicely to take a look at this problem. I would guess that they are able to remove the screws quickly and easily. Regards, ScandiTech
Thanks for this great video and service you have provided for those of us who are not willing to pay Apple or anyone else for that matter to do something we are capable and 'gutsy' enough to give it a try! Very nice package and product.
Trying to get the phone back together, but when I removed the ribbon cable for the home button, the little piece that clips it into place seemed to pop off and is nowhere to be seen. At least, that's what I think happened, and that's what seems to happen in the video. If this little piece is lost, am I screwed?
This was the hardest part for me too. If the sticky side touches in the wrong place, OH NO! Luckily I just lifted and stretched mine over a bit and it was okay. Probably contact the manufacturer and see what they say.
Hi ScandiTech, is there battery sticker tag along from the site that is in ur description? Can it ship to Malaysia? Looking forward to ur reply. Thanks :)
Hello Troy, Yes, all of our batteries include a new set of adhesive. However, as Amazon stores our inventory and handles all of our shipments, we are limited by their shipping policies. As of today, they do not ship batteries outside of US mainland. Regards, ScandiTech
Hello, You're not giving us a whole lot of information to go on. If odd colors appear on the screen when it's pressed, something is likely pushing it from the inside. Open up your phone and make sure that all screws are in place and that nothing is pressing on the screen. If you still can't make it work, contact the seller you purchased your parts from. Regards, ScandiTech
Hello Maverick, We manufacture our own batteries but some parts are manufactured the same way the original battery. Our battery will perform equally will and have the same specs and dimensions as your original battery. We provide a 12-month warranty on our product. Regards, ScandiTech
Hello Tony, Batteries are considered hazardous products as they contain various chemicals. You should dispose of you battery at your local hazardous waste station. Regards, ScandiTech
I was really unhappy, coz I didnt find battery for my Iphone SE from you guys. I bought two or three batteries for my Iphone 5 and 5C, and these batteries more than a year old and they working perfectly. But why not selling battery for SE? I needed to buy some other brand and nobody knows how good is it but your batteries are good.
Hello there, We test the iPhone 5S battery by connecting it to a working motherboard and measure its performance. We also have machines that will check its capacity, quality of the cells and overall stability. All batteries that fail to meet our standards our sorted out and recycled. If you have any direct questions or would like to know more about our warranty, our support team would be happy to help you out. support@scandi.tech Regards, ScandiTech
The toughest part was actually easy after three separate attempts. Pull the glue tab up from the bottom of the battery (its a small black fold), then pull down slowly with both hands until the glue strips come out. All the videos Ive seen never mention this.
Hello Abi, That's odd. This is definitely our of the ordinary. A screen normally only turns blue when there's a problem. I would suggest that you begin by checking all the connectors you initially disconnected. Make sure they are all in place. You might even want to disconnect and then reconnect them once again to be sure they snap into place. If the connectors really are correctly connected, try re-installing your old battery if it's still in working condition to rule out that the battery is to blame. If you've bought the battery from an unreliable source (such as a random Ebay listing), it could be that the battery is malfunctioning. I would suggest that you contact the seller who sold it to you and ask for further support. Regards, ScandiTech
I had a surprise when I opened my iPhone 5S that took me a while to figure out. The old battery (the original) was installed in a way that bent the u-channel at a right angle to the case. So I could not find the tab of adhesive and pull it out. However, by gently heating the case behind the battery, I was able to pry up the left side and pull the battery out. I had to pry out the u-channel to remove all of remains of the old battery. The new battery slid right into the area where the old one was located, I should mention that I found that the old white adhesive was still sticky and intact, so I reused it to hold the new battery. The hardest part for me was reinstalling the minute screws that held down the battery connector. I finally got my pair of needle point splinter removal forceps to carefully drop the near-microscopic screws into their respective holes on the bracket, and slowly and carefully tightened them down. Next advice: hold the phone with the charge port up and place the screws into the holes before screwing them down. Again, the needle point splinter forceps work better. In my old hands, even with magnifiers, this was a time-consuming job.
Alas, after charging for a couple of hours, all that came up was a hazy blue screen with no discernible markings. Disappointment. I suspect that I pulled a couple of cables loose. I will open phone again and check that.
Successfully replaced the battery but now my touch screen is unresponsive... I tried brushing the ports that connect the screen but that didnt work. I literally have no phone now
Hello Strife, It can be quite tricky to align and connect the touch screen (and LCD) connector. Some of our customers have reported that it takes them a couple of tries to get it right. You should hear a soft "click" when the connector snaps in place. Sometimes the connector can appear to be correctly connected even though it's slightly out of place. If you're absolutely sure that you're connector is correctly connected, then I'm sorry to say but it's possible that either your touch screen or the connector were damaged during the replacement process. Either way, contact the company that sold you the battery and they most likely be able to troubleshoot the issue. If you bought the battery from us, you can find our contact info on: www.scandi.tech Regards, ScandiTech
i just watched your video like 12 times and tried to remove the battery of the phone and while trying to take the battery out it went on fire. the screen was detached. is it possible the phone survived?
Hello there, As the warnings say, lithium batteries do combust if they are punctured, pierced or excessively bent. Working near lithium batteries should always be done with caution. It's difficult to say how badly your phone was damaged without examining it. You should bring it to a professional and have them take a look at it. Regards, ScandiTech
Keep in mind one thing: You need to be patient. The second tip is: Use the white divisors that come in the ScandiTech box to screw the screws on the same order you take them off. It's a good way to save the right order and not lose them.
Hello there, I'm sorry to hear that you're having difficulties with the adhesive for the iPhone 5S battery. If you have bought the battery from us, I would like to suggest that you message support. They will be happy to help you and show you a work-around. Our support can be reached at: support@scandi.tech Regards, ScandiTech
Hello Casey, Sometimes the batteries arrive discharged. If the battery is completely discharged, it can take up to 15 minutes of charging before anything shows up on the screen. If you have charged the battery and nothing happens, I would suggest that you contact the support of the company that sold you the battery. If the battery came from us, you can reach out customer support at: support@scandi.tech (without .com) Regards, ScandiTech
Much appreciate the point that the 5S is NOT the same as other 5 series, in that there is that little connector under the home button, which requires you to carefully lift open the screen just a little to pry off this little connector. There are clips on YT which say they are for the 5S and the little connector is NOT in the video. Incompetence and misinformation just to get a subscriber and a click.
I replaced the battery and it still wont work its been awhile since it stopped working I didn't drop it in water or anything i was playing music and it suddenly turned off HELP IT WONT TURN ON!! :(
Hello there, Did your phone work prior to the battery replacement? Since you said "it still won't work", I assume there was some kind of issue with the phone before you replaced the battery. If your phone is completely dead, the problem could be caused by other factors than the battery. I would suggest you bring your phone to a repair shop and have them take a look at it. Regards, ScandiTech
Hello there, The iPhone 5S battery has a slightly higher capacity than the iPhone 5C. The 5S has 1560 mAh while the 5C has 1506 mAh. However, both batteries have identical connectors and the same battery can safely be used with both iPhone models. A higher capacity means that that the battery will last longer which is why we offer the iPhone 5S battery for the iPhone 5C as well. Regards, Scandi Tech
This was a complete disaster. I followed the instructions exactly but the stupid tape underneath the battery screwed me over. Not only did it take me like 30 minutes taking off the battery because I was so scared of it bursting, I think my touch screen is fried. It's showing up in weird colors and I can't even put in my code.
Hello Katia, I'm sorry to hear that the battery replacement didn't go quite as planned. If the touch screen doesn't respond to touch, it's likely that its connector is not correctly connected. I'd like to suggest that you once again disconnect and then reconnect this connector. Do the same with the LCD connector next to it. It could solve the color problem. If you're absolutely sure the connectors are in place, the next most likely explanation is that the front assembly has been damaged. A new part cost about $30 on Amazon. Regards, ScandiTech
The entire screen ended up having to be replaced and my front camera. I didn't think it was worth me taking the risk to damage my phone more and lose intimate articles so I caved and went to fix it instead. :( Thanks for the advice though.
there is a high risk that your iphone goes to the bin, all contactors and screws are very very small and fragile the risk to break cables or contactors even if you are good at these kind of actions is not 0. the plastic frame around the glass can also break when you lift it up putting back the stuff is also tricky, not impossible but be very very very gentle and think each steps forehead. The tape is not easily removable it easily break and then you have to lift the battery has shown but with risk to damge things. Lifting the glass is critical if you go to much up or pass any tools beneath the glass at the cables that's it, you need to replace the screen, or the mother board. Perhaps better solution if you want to be on the safe side is just to buy a external battery that you can integrate as a folder. Considering feedbacks its around 30% failure to repair it by yourself...Think about it before...Just a warning
@@ScandiTech I didn't have either. I ended up just spending a lot of time prying. It came out eventually and the new battery is excellent. Now I just need to get my screen to respond to touch...

On reassembly it turned out the touch pad cable was not connected. So no way to turn it off - had to just disconnect battery and then go back and reseat the connectors at the top.
could you please provide a link for this 5s battery kit including battery - amazon says unavailable.
Thanks, I follow the video step by step and it worked. Tough I decided not to remove the screen, 'cause it's very tricky.
Greetings from México.
Stole a couple of my kid's textbooks and avoided the same mess! Worked fine! Just have to watch all the connecting bits and not go over the 90 degrees angle to open.
I may have lost two of the four screws from the 6:54 part. If I can't find them with a magnet, what do i do? I believe they were the top two
Found one and decided the leave the top right corner without since it was stable enough. Phone is on and battery is in perfect condition according to a battery checker app I have. Thanks so much!!! It took like two hours due to issues pulling out things and trying to test the battery but thankfully my phone will last much longer now!!!

Great video. Now i have a new battery installed and my wife can FaceTime on my daughter's old phone. Thanks
Hi, - What size is the pentalobe screwdriver in the video?
Hi, iss it normal to have the iphone hotter than it should at first?
Thx for this video, i was doing this replacement for about a hour, step by step and everything was okay .) thx, dude !
Thank you!! After the Apple person said it was dead, no hope, i bought a similar kit and the "dead" phone has life again.
Hello, I have a huge problem with the bottom screws, they are too stiff. Any tip?
Hello there,
That's odd.
I would guess that they are able to remove the screws quickly and easily.

a6a8i You probably don't have the screen all the way snapped in
Thanks for this great video and service you have provided for those of us who are not willing to pay Apple or anyone else for that matter to do something we are capable and 'gutsy' enough to give it a try! Very nice package and product.
Thanks for the advise! Greatly done replace the battery my old 5s
Trying to get the phone back together, but when I removed the ribbon cable for the home button, the little piece that clips it into place seemed to pop off and is nowhere to be seen. At least, that's what I think happened, and that's what seems to happen in the video. If this little piece is lost, am I screwed?
i screwed up my adhesive tape, is there any way to get new tape or can I use a different type of tape??
This was the hardest part for me too. If the sticky side touches in the wrong place, OH NO! Luckily I just lifted and stretched mine over a bit and it was okay. Probably contact the manufacturer and see what they say.
After Battery replacement I lost rear camera, flash and flashlight feature, any ideas? (iPhone 6)
Thank you. Awesome tutorial and repair kit. Very articulate and detailed.
At 7:25 when doing it, this felt totally COOL!
Thank you I was able to change my phone battery this step by step is extremely clear and helpful.
Hi ScandiTech, is there battery sticker tag along from the site that is in ur description? Can it ship to Malaysia? Looking forward to ur reply. Thanks :)
Hello Troy,
Yes, all of our batteries include a new set of adhesive. However, as Amazon stores our inventory and handles all of our shipments, we are limited by their shipping policies. As of today, they do not ship batteries outside of US mainland.

Hi I replaced my screen and when i press the screen a little to hard it has this thing like the screen is soft can you please help me thanks
Hello,
You're not giving us a whole lot of information to go on. If odd colors appear on the screen when it's pressed, something is likely pushing it from the inside. Open up your phone and make sure that all screws are in place and that nothing is pressing on the screen. If you still can't make it work, contact the seller you purchased your parts from.

How this battery pass this QC . How you did it?
Hello there,
We test the iPhone 5S battery by connecting it to a working motherboard and measure its performance. We also have machines that will check its capacity, quality of the cells and overall stability. All batteries that fail to meet our standards our sorted out and recycled.
If you have any direct questions or would like to know more about our warranty, our support team would be happy to help you out.

The toughest part was actually easy after three separate attempts. Pull the glue tab up from the bottom of the battery (its a small black fold), then pull down slowly with both hands until the glue strips come out. All the videos Ive seen never mention this.
i replaced the battery on my iPhone 5s and when i turn on the phone, screen stay blue. what's wrong please??
Hello Abi,
That's odd.

Abi 113 Did you find a solution? I have the same problem :(
Exceptional video.
Unable to restore phone. Got a blue-gray screen. Think twice before you try this at home!
I'm done with the battery installation and I've been charging over 15 minutes now the is not on, there is power. Please help.
Brilliant guide
Thank you! The screws are extremely and ridiculously small. Not recommended to do unless you have eagle vision!
Successfully replaced the battery but now my touch screen is unresponsive... I tried brushing the ports that connect the screen but that didnt work. I literally have no phone now
Hello Strife,
It can be quite tricky to align and connect the touch screen (and LCD) connector.
If you bought the battery from us, you can find our contact info on: www.scandi.tech

i just watched your video like 12 times and tried to remove the battery of the phone and while trying to take the battery out it went on fire. the screen was detached. is it possible the phone survived?
Hello there,
As the warnings say, lithium batteries do combust if they are punctured, pierced or excessively bent. Working near lithium batteries should always be done with caution.
It's difficult to say how badly your phone was damaged without examining it. You should bring it to a professional and have them take a look at it.
Regards,
ScandiTech
Keep in mind one thing: You need to be patient. The second tip is: Use the white divisors that come in the ScandiTech box to screw the screws on the same order you take them off. It's a good way to save the right order and not lose them.
Thanks loads .. great kit and tutorial.
Thanks! Worked perfectly!
Great, adhesive strips snapped right of when I pulled them..
Hello there,
I'm sorry to hear that you're having difficulties with the adhesive for the iPhone 5S battery. If you have bought the battery from us, I would like to suggest that you message support. They will be happy to help you and show you a work-around. Our support can be reached at: support@scandi.tech

is the new battery usually dead ? just installed it on my phone and the battery is dead
Hello Casey,
Sometimes the batteries arrive discharged. If the battery is completely discharged, it can take up to 15 minutes of charging before anything shows up on the screen. If you have charged the battery and nothing happens, I would suggest that you contact the support of the company that sold you the battery. If the battery came from us, you can reach out customer support at: support@scandi.tech (without .com)

wonderful tutorial !
Can you leave the screen on
Much appreciate the point that the 5S is NOT the same as other 5 series, in that there is that little connector under the home button, which requires you to carefully lift open the screen just a little to pry off this little connector. There are clips on YT which say they are for the 5S and the little connector is NOT in the video. Incompetence and misinformation just to get a subscriber and a click.
I did every single step and my iphone 5c is not turning on even when I'm pressing the power button
Good
I replaced the battery and it still wont work its been awhile since it stopped working I didn't drop it in water or anything i was playing music and it suddenly turned off HELP IT WONT TURN ON!! :(
Hello there,
Did your phone work prior to the battery replacement? Since you said "it still won't work", I assume there was some kind of issue with the phone before you replaced the battery. If your phone is completely dead, the problem could be caused by other factors than the battery. I would suggest you bring your phone to a repair shop and have them take a look at it.

Same here :( Did you find a solution, I'm in a real emergency, please reach out to me if you see this message
I love how he pretended to remove a screw that wasnt there when taking off the screen
Hi,
Thanks for the comment but there are screws removed. Check out 1:49 and 1:59 to 2:01.
@@ScandiTech I had meant when you had taken off the screws for the screen connectors coverplate. Look at 6:55
Nice Video , iz realy stupid how apple is Gluing attached the battery in this phone it makes more complicated than it should be ;)
Removing the first tab is not clear
I though 5s and 5c battery's were different
Hello there,
The iPhone 5S battery has a slightly higher capacity than the iPhone 5C. The 5S has 1560 mAh while the 5C has 1506 mAh. However, both batteries have identical connectors and the same battery can safely be used with both iPhone models. A higher capacity means that that the battery will last longer which is why we offer the iPhone 5S battery for the iPhone 5C as well.

can I use the 5s battery for the old iphone 5 version as well?
I would recommend not drinking a bunch of coffee before attempting this repair, it didn't help.
love your advice!! lol
Hello Katia,
I'm sorry to hear that the battery replacement didn't go quite as planned.
Regards,
ScandiTech
The entire screen ended up having to be replaced and my front camera. I didn't think it was worth me taking the risk to damage my phone more and lose intimate articles so I caved and went to fix it instead. :( Thanks for the advice though.
followed everything to the tee and no display😡😡
there is a high risk that your iphone goes to the bin, all contactors and screws are very very small and fragile the risk to break cables or contactors even if you are good at these kind of actions is not 0. the plastic frame around the glass can also break when you lift it up putting back the stuff is also tricky, not impossible but be very very very gentle and think each steps forehead.
Heat gun and tiny scissors??? I thought this kit was supposed to have everything you need...
Hi there,
You can use a heatgun (if you have one) or a hair dryer. The tools included in the kit is enough to complete the replacement process.
@@ScandiTech I didn't have either. I ended up just spending a lot of time prying. It came out eventually and the new battery is excellent. Now I just need to get my screen to respond to touch...
Good job #ritwikorganic
I removed the screen with my bare hands
removing the screen is a really bad idea. Super easy to fuck up your phone.
