Shoestring if you need a shower you can go to a truck stop. Most truck stops give the drivers a free shower with a fill up of diesel. Ask the drivers for a receipt if they aren't using them for a shower. As an old retired truck driver I never paid for a shower. Hope this helps you in the future
When I was on the rail recovery train picking up old rails and we used to send the old rails to Laurel to be scrapped or recertified then reused in the yards or branch lines but not any more, I believe we still get the new ribbon rails from Laurel and New Mexico.
Don't go to Alaska. Or any other real cold place. Not this soon after surgery. The cold can strengthen a healthy body but it will weaken a weak/recovering body for certain. No reason to go cold right now buddy. Give your body a good amount of time to heal. You slept 14hrs, and your voice is raspy. Your body is talking to you. Listen to it.
