As a nearly 20 year veteran snow cat operator who has been all over the world in all sorts of scary hairy situations this one brought me to tears. I’m so glad your friends were there to help. Thank you for sharing your story.
Thanks for being so kind diesel Dave to my grandson. He was up in the shop that day when you guys came and got snow cat. It’s neat that these young little boys can have such good men to look up to. Thank you for your kindness.
Dan is the HeavyD in Morgan county. Anyone that has lived in Morgan has been saved by Dan and his wife or his family at one point or another. He has been more of a hero to all of us younger guys that grew up with his kids. You can actually hear how much of an influence he is by listening to all those who mimic his classic Morgan accent. What an incredible video! The world is better as a whole that those men are still around (btw the “other man” is just as good of a guy, too bad his story was untold but that should confirm what a good guy he is by not wanting the spotlight). I watched it a second time because I was confused too. They only mentioned about digging Dan out. I looked up the news article to find out the both were safe.
I was wondering why there was little mention of him too, then I read a comment by a local that knows the men involved. He said the other man that was in the Snowcat with Dan, didn’t want to be in the spotlight and didn’t want to be included in this video. So, they are just honoring his wishes.
That was an amazing recovery! Thank you guys for such a heroic effort getting that snowcat off the mountain! Kudos to Dave and his team for their kindness!

It was admirable that this video ended on Dan. Great work, fellas.

What a story! I can only imagine feeling encased in snow unable to move and breathe, feeling it’s the end. Only to find out it’s not over yet due to some determined men…
Cold chills…
There needs to be more people like this in the world. There is no higher calling than dedicating your life to the service of others.
WHY do yous always do this to me every time I think it won't happen again yous go and save another person and get me all teared up 😢😢😢I feel like an idiot but wouldn't change it for the world thankyou❤❤❤
Such a miraculous story! Thanks for sharing and thank you to all for being loyal brothers!
Thank you and your guys for what you do Dave, God bless you guys
To me this is video is in the top 3. What you guys do is amazing and it would be nice if the entire world was like this. With the videos of what you do has motivated many others to do the same thing and it’s just amazing to see.
Best recovery video yet from you guys... awesome!!
we need more men like Dan, Great owner and great man. Very cool video, so grateful for the guys there
Good GAWD ALMIGHTY, WOW what a powerful story of survival and teamwork to get this man out of the situation. God Bless his friends for being determined even after 911 told them to get out.
It's stuff like this is why I have a lot of respect for him and his crew. They don't hesitate to drop whatever they are doing to help someone who respectfully asks for help.
Ah; WHAT HAPPENED TO THE OTHER GUY? Didn't they say there was two guys in the thing, or is there a part 2! Great half'a story!!
i had to find this out to the news story when it happened said russ was fine just an injured foot
This is exactly why I love Diesel Brothers. Absolutely incredible, made me tear up..
That brutal realization that it might be your last breath must be the worst thing ever. But having a crew behind you like those guys? Best thing ever.
Was so happy when I knew he made it. Hats off to those men. NEVER GIVE UP... EVER!
What a great story guys!👍👍👍
You are amazing people with beautiful souls and equal character. Unreal
I'm curious what happened to the other person in the buried snowcat? Maybe I missed it, I have a lot going on around me as I'm watching this. You are really good men, all of you. You have huge hearts & seem to always step up when needed. I think you guys may also be a little bit crazy! 😘 For the love of God, stay safe out there!!
Yeh I don't think they actually say what happened to the other person? I was a bit confused too.
Don't feel bad, we are confused about the other person also???
i had to look up the news story they were both dug out and only 1 foot injury between them so he was fine
I'm glad that everyone survived, great team effort by his friends, well done team on the recovery
Did everyone survive? They didn't say anything about Russ other than he was with Dan in the snowcat.
Great story with a good outcome with some very determined young men this one had me tearing up and has far as Dave and his crew that's just who they are and what they do most of all his videos he's helping someone out somewhere
Your promo pluging was the most scandalous timing
This hits home with the diesel brothers. They experienced similar tragedy. Awesome folks in that part of the country hands down
You came to recover it December of 2024? That's impressive!
That was a wonderful story. True story thank you for Sharon. Good job Dave to and the crew that saved his life bless you guys.
Dave and Crew, sure, there was a distraction at the beginning of this video, one which has captured the majority of attention in the comments, don't let that get to you.
We know this is an important story, that distraction does not take away from it, even though it might feel like it does.
It's great to see these guys are all okay. It was admirable that this video ended on Dan.
Great work, fellas.
Grampa John and Gramma Loraine were definitely watching over their son on that day. What a remarkable family. Thank you diesel bros for getting that out, you’ve made a lifelong friend in Morgan county. Both you and Dave have helped us more than you know by always willing to help whenever we call whether it be riding around gathering food in our pantry parade, or doing a flyby to a demolition derby(? I think it was?), to helping an amazing family get a very heavy piece of machinery off the mountain. Thank you.
December 2024 you recovered it
Guys live in the future I see.
Great outcome! didn't expect that they way the story was playing out! Great job to all, the guys that helped out, Dave and his crew, and the editing guys for a good story.
Shiiiiit we have a recovery in the FUTURE 😱
The power of an avalanche is beyond reasoning. I have been buried to my waist doing avalanche control. I have seen chunks as big as a snow cat. Those young men did everything exactly right to rescue their friends. Good on you guys to recover their cat!
Diesel Bros time-travelling to December 2024
haha, thats what I was thinkin
haha same😁😁
Lol
Awsomization day!! Brought to you by The Diesel Brothers!!!!
