Hi Allison - I’m a granny now but my 2nd child was 4.5kg at birth and she made her appearance before the doc arrived so I had severe tearing. We didn’t have all the amazing things that are available nowadays, but one thing that I was encouraged to do to assist with healing was to use an infrared lamp. Just thought I would share. Best wishes with the birth and looking forward to seeing your new bundle of joy, and catch up on your progress. Be kind to yourself ❤❤
Hi, I have a 8 month old son. He was born during renovations. We are still not finished renovating our old farmhouse, and his room isn't finished but it's cozy and we will get there. So I am here for all the nesting and renovation. Wishing you all the best. Greetings from Germany
I loved watching Maddie help her mama. I had two October babies, 21 and 19 years ago! They are besties and I love watching them grow, still. There is something so special about having littles, though. 💙
New here 👋🏻 I have two teenagers, but at one point I also had 2 under two. The memories came flooding back watching this! Your sweet little girl helping you and just being right by your side literally brought me to tears. I just kept thinking about how life is when you are a young Mom. Also about how freaking hard it was for me having 2 under two, and my heart really goes out to you, because I just know! Omg, I'm such a middle aged cliché. I am rooting for you and keeping you in my thoughts.
We are also renovating our daughters room (she is gonna be 2 in less than a month) and I am almost 16 weeks pregnant with our boy 😊 I'm exhausted most days but also very happy with the progress.
Good thing you had a helper! And kudos to you for sharing your tips on the postpartum care! Those first couple weeks are so hard and every little hack helps!
Hi Allison, I have 2 baby girls that are 2 and 4. I'm still getting used to my babies so close in age, there's 10 years between my first and second and second and third. Watching them interact is so amazing. Sometimes they fight, sometimes they're sick of each other but it's the cute moments that are so heartwarming. Congratulations and good luck with your new baby girl.👣
I found your channel through your nesting videos with Maddie. That's how I started watching you. No more babies here. My kids are grown but I love nursery and baby content. We now have a granddaughter who is 14 months. So cute to see Maddie being such a big helper. She is going to be a great big sister.
Love how much your little one was interested in your process. It would be so easy to set a show on for her and do your thing but this was a sweet moment instead. She is nesting as big sis and it's everything.
Maddie is so helpful. My 2 kids are adults, but I remember how excited about having a younger sibling and helpful the eldest was. I remember your videos from the military houses and enjoy those plus ones in your current house❤
Mom of three girls here! Not planning on having a fourth ANY time soon 🤪 but I love your nesting videos. I watched the ones you did with Maddy when I was pregnant with my third last fall. She’ll be 1 in November! So excited you’re having another little girl. My first two girls are 18 months apart!
Hi Allison! I have a two year old little girl and am due in March with baby #2- a boy this time. Loving your nesting content! Good luck with labor and a safe delivery of your (I think) baby girl!
Hi, I also have an October Baby born in 2022! And I’ll also have 2 under 2 when Baby #2 is born (due March 1, 2024). I can definitely relate to not having a special nursery for this new baby but we’re also just trying to make the nicest bedside nursery we can! 😊
I think stains reappear after storing. I use to wash stains right away and then stored them for future baby. Stains cane back. Washed again and they went away or faded. Not sure why that is. My kids are grown but I enjoy baby nesting. I’m having a new great niece soon. Little girls are so much fun to dress!
Hello Allison. Just wanted to share my experience with baby clothes. I have 4 girls so I used to store baby clothes and reuse it for my babies. I remember packing nice clean peaces of clothing but when I took them out, many of them were covered in yellowish stains. I guess it was the milk fat that came out with time as the clothes weren't washed on high temperature and the fat molecules weren't distroyed. I rewashed them on high temperature this time and the stains have gone! So maybe it wasn't you packing stained clothes but stains just appeared with time :) Have a nice and safe delivery and a healthy strong baby!
My boys are 21 mths apart, so I think your girls would have the same age gap. It's hard having two little ones soo close in age, but there's soo much beauty in seeing them grow up together. Hoping for a good delivery and a fast recovery on your part. All the best.
Hi Alison it was great watching seeing what I might have been doing 30 years ago or 27 years ago for baby no 2 a girl seeing your remedies for after care is good to have all that at home now is great 🎉😊
Hi Allison! I have an almost one year old daughter. I originally found you last year from your old nesting videos when I was getting ready to have my daughter! Would love to grow our family again next year, if it’s in Gods plans. Prayers to you for a smooth and safe delivery. ❤
Thank you for the nesting vid, always helpful! Enjoying watching the renovation progress too! I have an almost 2 year old girl and expecting another little girl early next year ❤
Hi! I’m currently 32 wks pregnant with my second so definitely feeling all the pregnancy content for sure. I wanted to say that I bought med line ice pack pads off Amazon last time and plan to again! You get way more product for the money than the Frida mom ones.
Hi Allison! Just here to say I love your DIY content and here to congratulate you on baby #2! I'm due in December with my second baby, a baby girl, and I wanted to let you know that I experienced similar struggles with breastfeeding with my first baby. He didn't latch without the nipple shield for the first 2 months and, even though I didn't breastfeed for as long as I wanted to, the nipple shields were an absolute lifesaver for my journey! I also had to supplement with formula to help my son grow properly. Good luck with everything! Hoping and praying for a safe delivery for you!
Nipple shields are not talked about enough before you have a baby IMO! It was such a life saver for us once a lactation consultant introduced them to us!
@@AllisonMcPhail kind of crazy that they get either no recognition, or are treated like a bad thing sometimes, though. The lactation consultant in the hospital wanted me to try and wean my son off from the shield as quickly as possible, but it took him 2 months to feed without them. And my son had horrible reflux as well. I basically lived for my son wearing bibs to catch all of his spit up.
Another girl! So exciting! You're doing a great job, Allison. And, the sitz bath is a godsend! I had three kids and all three were 10+ pounds so... yeah. :D
God bless you and your soon to be larger family. You are doing an amazing job getting ready. Don’t forget to rest up. Can’t wait for your next video. Have a great day.
Love this! Hello from Australia ❤ I have a 3 month old girl & your videos getting ready for Madeline were my main inspiration and motivation getting ready for baby!!! Pretty much just copied your organisation haha. Love how relatable your videos are.
That is awesome! I'm so glad you found the old nesting videos & congrats on your baby girl!!!!! I'll have even more organization coming out soon if you need any more ideas!
It's so fun to see another nesting video since your last pregnancy! I love watching 2nd-time-mom nestings and seeing what they learned from their first baby :) Side note, Maddie's curly hair is SO CUTE My husband and I really want kids (currently he's got major baby fever) but we're waiting until his active duty contract is over, which is luckily over halfway over ✊️ in the meantime I love to watch nesting videos to live vicariously a little haha My best friend who just moved back home when her husband deployed found out a week after he left for 9 months that she's 2 weeks along 🫠 that's EXACTLY what we're trying to avoid :')
@@AllisonMcPhail thank you!! Wishing you and baby a safe and easy delivery. I hope you are taking time off afterwards. As much as we will miss you, your health is way more important ❤️
Thank you & congrats! Reflux life is HARD. Just know that it does get better with time! We held her upright for 20 minutes after every feed, saw a lactation consultant to make sure she wasn't taking in any unnecessary air during feeds, and LOTS of burping. Basically everything that the internet suggests can help, but also give yourself a little grace and know that even with all of these tips reflux is still just HARD and won't be totally managed until they just grow out of it. After 6 months we were in a much better place, but she didn't stop spitting up after every feed until she was 1 year old.

Congratulations on your baby boy! I'm not sure I'm quite ready to bring this baby home to all these renovations, but it'll be an adventure I'm sure!
So adorable, how Maddie was helping her mama! She’ll be a great big sis!💞
I forget how busy toddlers are in "helping"you. Hope you are resting when you can. Won't be long until baby is here.

I am 17 weeks along with baby number 3! Trying to declutter and get good systems in place (like a meal plan) to make the newborn phase easier.

So weird! I wish I knew this before... Definitely going to try this for the next size of clothes I pull out!
@@AllisonMcPhail , I remember having used dish soap on stains to weaken the milk fat before washing them. Worth trying.
