Woah it’s been a minute since I uploaded, but I’ve got 3 bangers locked and loaded ready to drop . I’ll see you next week 🥳 and don’t forget to go to betterhelp.com/KharmaMedic for 10% off your first month of therapy! #ad 💭
You’re not only saying things you love about Medicine. You’re inspiring millions of high school students, premed students and medical students(including me)to push harder. Thank you KharmaMedic🙏
Maybe their aren’t any aspects that he considers “negative”! Some things just come with the territory. You need first hand experience to see what is negative in your own opinion.
Overtime, night shifts, burnout, being underpaid, being overworked, having to shut down your emotions if your patients suffer or pass away. Everyone knows that even if they’re not doctors.
I think there has been a lot of negativity around working in healthcare and as a med student i was feeling so unmotivated or feeling like maybe i’m on the wrong path. But this video actually reminded me of why I started in the first place and it was really nice hearing the good aspects of this job.
From my experience working alongside consultant surgeons and anaesthesiologists, I think that separation of work & home becomes harder to achieve. Being the leader in a patient's surgery or anaesthesia means you are the first point of contact when something goes wrong, especially after their surgery and I have seen many consultants being called back hours after they left to tend to a patient who is deteriorating
Having seen so many videos about why it sucks to be a doctor, this vid feels like a breath of fresh air. Tired of hearing all the time that being a doctor is miserable. But Like many things in life, there are good and bad aspects to it.
19:23 - Yes to this! It's up to us to combat the culture we get inculcated into as that's the only way change will occur and be passed on to the next group of training doctors. Glad you're loving your work so much! :)
Being a doctor who listens to their patient is so important. I left aged care nursing and started cardiac nursing. I work with 3 cardiologists in a clinic. Watching these doctors work and speak to the patients is just so heartwarming. It’s so scary for a patients when they suddenly have an issue with their heart, they need that reassurance that they are going to be looked after. You are going to be an amazing doctor
i dont usually comment on youtube but i just have to say this. this channel has been with my through some of the biggest and most important moments of my life over these last 3 years. from watching your productivity videos in hs and falling in this trap of romanticising studying without doing any real work to really working my a** off preparing for my country's medical entrance examination with your study with me playing in the background, it has literally transformed me and subconsciously also helped me choose medicine as a career. today, i received my letter of admission for MBBS from a medical school and it starts from september. thank you for everything nasir.
I am about to start my clinical years. It is unbelievable how I am excited to start seeing patients and see the disease in front of my eyes instead of just looking at books in the last 3 years of my life where I think I have lost many of my mental health. It is crazy when you stay in the same room just studying with zero social life for three years
as a law student: you described corporate law perfectly as I have also seen family members being bombarded during the weekends and after hours with work. that's why I'm pursuing an academic career😅 your videos always motivate me and give me some purpose :) greetings from the Netherlands :)
This is a kind approach to asking about one's day. I used to be straightforward about the task but in the future, I'll try to be more humble. You mentioned a good point here. I'll work on it... ❤❤
So good to hear you are enjoying the job, will look forward to the vlogs about the things you hate/dislike about the job. Always love the vlogs but not a fan of the stock images/clips I watch to hear about you and your experience.
This video was amazing, its great seeing you again Nasir! I remember watching you be a third year medical student and now you have been a FY1 doctor for 11 months, that's really crazy. Well done🙂
Nasir, Hello it has been 5 days since I found out that I will be studying medicine because I got into university and I cannot believe it. Side from this i just wanted to say thank you so much, you will never know how much for videos about UCAT, interviews and the whole application process helped me, let’s not forget all the motivation ones as well! I will forever be thankful for that! I hope you are having an amazing day! 🎉🥳❤
Thanks a lot. Im really excited to watch ur videos. They help me to know more about the life of a person who is in the field of medicine. I was in such a mess that i was nearly sure to end up with medicine even if i am just in 3rd year of my medical school in Uzbekistan. So thank u once more and wish u good luck in ur future career
Thank you very much for this video. Although I am a final year med student, I was afraid that medicine is hard and I will suffer in working as a doctor, you helped me to motivate and keep studying hard for that "thank you" or prays from my future patients insha'Allah. (I watched a lot of videos talking about leaving medicine and maybe that fears is because of their effect 😅)
In October I'll be graduated in my master degree in business administration. Today I was thinking about Kharma medic videos... I started my university in 2018 in Bologna, and I discovered you, your channel and your amazing videos. Now, after 5-6 years you are working and I'm finishing my University. Wow! Thanks and keep going because your videos are Amazing
I wish you a very good future Nasir, you inspires me lot! These videos really gives me so much courage to learn and face any disaster coming ahead of me. Again, good luck! Dr Nasir! Your gonna be an excellent doctor❤
Nassir please please do a study with me video soon!! Just set it up if you ever need to do any work. Id really really appreciate it because I’m trying to work on my study habits it would help me so much! Please respond and let me know!!
what I personally don't like about the question "how are you" is that you have to say "I'm fine" so If you can't give a different answer what's the point of the question? and when you are having a bad day you don't wanna say I'm doing good but that's probably cultural thing
So interesting. Also like is there just endless computations that winds up being more work for the okay support. It kinda of suggestive but like there's this over marketing of options but maybe its just well what is science support. Also can u do a video on babies and newborns. My sister just had a baby and is there anything to watch for to just know signs of good interactions.
how do you prepare for your videos? do you write out a script first? read while recording? or do you just wing it? thank you! great videos sir G-d bless
From my perspective working in an Austrian hospital, i would absolutely hate it if someone asks me "how are you?" if i don´t personally know the person. It just feels fake in my opinion and i want to know why i am getting called, and not answering a question i never intend to answer honestly to a stranger. Americans often use it in the same Phrase like "Hello, how are you?" And it just feels weird and useless for me.
Hi, I’m in the middle of deciding between computer science and pre med. I really like both and am leaning towards pre med but since the time it takes is so long and I’m not the best as studying for tests, I don’t want to regret it.. Any advice? Thanks!
Hey!! Recently, there has been a spike of the number of Students who are going abroad to Study Medicine (including myself, and Graduating next April) ,and once they come back after Graduation, they are struggling to find a Job as a Doctor, which sounds really pathetic tbh- What are your are your recommendations when it comes for applying for a Job, or to show competencies ? LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!! Each one of them!!!😁😁😁😁
As a premed university life is much better then the working world ,everybody different nationalities respect each other even friends get along not like the working world the where in my previous company supervisors undermine sabatoge the workers
