- Rue, "herb of grace" is a Mediterranean perennial that is a great plant to add to your herbal apothecary.
“Woe to you Pharisees, because you give God a tenth of your mint, rue and all other kinds of garden herbs, but you neglect justice and the love of God. You should have practiced the latter without leaving the former undone.
Luke 11:42 NIV

The caterpillars i raise love eating it
Bitter… you said it! I’m growing this too (Ontario 🇨🇦). I tried it and spat it out.
Thanks very helpful 💕
What do you know about the phototoxicity of this plant? Have you experienced sun sensitivity after handleing Rue?
Good question, I have not as I'm pretty careful handling but some may develop a rash if oil is on skin. I do have sensitive skin so I'm not anxious to test it, my fig tree gives me enough of that when harvesting.
Do you have the video on the rue tincture you made? What are you using the tincture for?
I do not but it's the same as the purple dead nettle video I posted.
Rue herb does have a decent number of potential health benefits. A soothing tea made from rue herb can help calm the nerves and ease anxiety or stress. It also has antifungal benefits and can be applied topically to the skin. Rue herb may also help stimulate menstruation, treat arthritis and boost the heart’s health.

I wonder if it’s more bitter after it flowers? Some herbs are like that .
@shockbonker
It really can't be much worse than it is lol
Can rue be grew from cutting
Most definitely
What are rhe steps to root a cutting
Either place in water and let the roots grow before planting or put rooting powder on stem and plant in moist potting soil, preferably in a moist environment like a ziploc bag with a small vent open
Can it stop dogs from peeing on my sidewalk grass?
Honestly no idea on that
Maybe look at Coleus canina aka 'Scaredy Cat Plant' or 'Dogbane'. It's said to deter dogs, cats, rabbits and foxes.
