There’s a sound sync error in the video from about halfway through. Here is the fixed portion of the video:
    ruclips.net/video/xecM4WiQuL4/видео.html
It’s annoying to watch a video with the sound out of sync with the person talking and it sure is annoying to discover such an error after uploading!
I recorded this video on my old iPhone SE and edited it using iMovie on the same phone. Maybe time for some better equipment.

I thought you might be speaking Japanese and dubbed it to English :)

Hi mate! I've been enjoying your videos very much, I've just got an Onkyo with HDD and MD playback, because I love Minidisc, and found your videos very informative. If a may make a comment, I would suggest ensuring the lens on your camera is clean and try to have some audio tests, record a CD an MD, and maybe a USB with files from copyright-free music and just show the function of the device with the music on the background. I know, we are not gonna get the full experience through your mic - YTs video compression - and the speaker in our device, but it gives just a little more to the experience in my opinion. Anywho! I hope to keep seeing more of your content and hope you get a ton of subs, your channel deserves it. Cheers!

MDLP and USB! Lots of handy features. Re the speakers being a higher wattage, I'd guess it's because they were sold seperately too, and Onkyo just bundled them at a bit of a discount with the HiFi.
Re the quality, minidisc audio is compressed. I am not an expert, but I read that a MD recorded in SP mode holds about 160MB of data, whereas a CD is about 700MB. The MP3s bitrate might be higher. I think MP3 was a few years later than MD too, and maybe the DAC they use for your MD isn't as good.
Personally, I prefer the compression on MD compared to MP3 and streaming; I seem to be able to hear different detail on MD compared to streaming, even if the source is a PC streaming audio to Optical/TOSlink (still digital) connected to a MD recorder (therefore not using my PC's DAC).
PS. I made two comments, because, different topics.

I only see one comment so if you left another, it’s lost in the RUclipss somewhere.

@@hifi-lofi lol at lost in the RUclipss. YT comments are quite broken at the moment. I can see my other comment, but here's a copy:
      Hey, that's me you're talking about :D
      Thanks for the kind mentions.
BTW, great thumbnail, and I like the panning on the still shots.
So, what happened when I reached 1000 subscribers? Well, I'd already asked RUclips to email me at 1000 subs so I could apply for the RUclips Partner Programme, so when I reached 1000 they emailed me. That's it, really. I think they would send an email anyway to congratulate you even if you didn't apply for the YPP.
Did it change my life? In a small way, yes. That was my goal for 2022, to become a professional RUclipsr (professional in that I get paid for it, but not professional in the way I go about it), so I have the satisfaction of having achieved that goal. Nothing else has changed, the income is too low to change my life, but it's good to know that I acheived the goal.
Keep up the good work, and you'll be a Pro RUclipsr too! :)

It is a bit odd, considering what the unit can output vs the speakers capacity. Though technically one could output it to an amp with the tape out, there's no line out on the back or front or even optical out so that limits it in a way. Also your audio is a bit out of sync with your mouth, not a deal breaker but maybe something you should be aware of.

Indeed, I was outputting to a better amp and speaker set-up via the tape RCA out but ideally as you say, it’d be better via an optical out, which annoyingly it doesn’t have.
Having said that, another mini system I have, which does have an optical out, only outputs the CD and not the minidisc via the Toslink so I gave up on that too.
Regarding the video sound out of sync, somebody else told me that yesterday and it’s most frustrating because I didn’t notice it before uploading. It seems to be an iMovie issue on my iPhone. It’s certainly annoying for me to watch it so apologies to all.

@@hifi-lofi it's alright about the sync issue, but as I've tried myself, the Onkyo FR X-N9TX can output minidisc audio to optical (I've tried it on a Bluetooth transmitter since I don't have an amp with optical but I'd assume it's ok too) but it has sscm so you cannot record on another minidisc. Maybe I'll try getting a descrambler but it's an additional cost I can skip anyway with NetMD and Hi-MD pc recording.
