    I'm continually amazed at your ability to adapt and excel in different athletic environments. Your YT video format is packed with content with little to no "fluff" and you seem to always "tell it like it is" no matter how it looks. You exemplify humility in your successes and aren't afraid to be vulnerable when it doesn't go as planned or as well as you hoped or expected. I have immense respect for the dedication and commitment you demonstrate and the persistence to do your best in all these extremely challanging endeavors. Thank you so much for sharing your journey in this new part of your running/athletics career. I am really enjoying following your process and your insights into the trail racing genre (may as well call it mountain goat racing!). Congratulations on a great start in your first season of this sport.

    Hi Allie-I was so excited when you finished 7th in the Prologue. I watched some of the final but the coverage focused pretty narrowly on the first three runners, so I’m pretty thrilled you had content for this video. That course looked pretty brutal-what did you think about the flower design? Was it helpful in the spacing of aid stations? I know what you mean about coffee-when I was in Rome I could get a cappuccino for 1€. Here in New York City that would be about $4.25. Congratulations on making it through the race, and finishing out the year at 20th in the world. That’s amazing. 🦋

    • @allie_ostrander
      @allie_ostrander  10 месяцев назад +1

      I didn't mind the flower design, but it meant that we had 4 steep descents back into town during the race which drove the elevation gain and loss up....making it a really challenging course! Also, I honestly think it would have been good to have another aid station during the race because it was 70 degrees and 80% humidity!

    I think I've complimented you so often on your humor. I love it and it's contagious. But it's your heart when it comes to competing that I find endearing. You have the heart of a lion.. You seem so mentally tough, the Rambo of female runners. You may not win every event but it's never for lack of effort. You always leave it all out there. Very neat that you got to go to Italy! Wow that had to be pretty awesome. Congrats Allie and coach Klau! At least I think Ari is still coaching you.

    So much time to build and grow after a great start. Would be really interesting to see you in a fell race one day here in the UK for the funsies. It's a very different vibe to trail races elsewhere in the world, always fascinated to see what runners from other countries make of it.

      ohhh I don't even know what a fell race is..gonna have to go research that now.

      ooo you're in for a treat. It's a very UK specific type of running that occasionally piques the interest of international runners. Killian Jornet came over a few years back to go for the record on one of our more prestigious fell running challenges, the Bob Graham Round, and Jack Kuenzle from the US took the record from Killian last year. There's a short video on Killians record on the Salomon TV channel from five years ago which is a short but nice little video.
