That is what I used the last year of my PhD and it worked beautifully for my research and tracking tasks for each area including running statistics on STATA . I also used Notion but the PTD PLANNER worked so well and I finished 🎉 so cheering you on from California 😊 you can do it in a year 🎉
I would love to see what you do with your PhD planner. I am in the 2nd year of my program and may start some preliminary research next month. I am excited to see if there are other planners out there that would help with my journey. Best of luck to you!
I have never used a weeks but jumped on the bandwagon this year and bought the same cover as you because it’s so pretty. I decided to use it as a health planner and hoped it would get me out of a rut. Still waiting on my order from TCMC and I’ve been in a rut on everything. I’m giving myself grace until next week then it’s time to get busy and get into action. 😊 you have a good lineup I think for 2025.
Yay, another video! I love all these! My favorite is your TN system. I’ve used it in mine, and I love the idea of just brain dumping whatever comes to mind. It has helped me a lot. I think next year, I’m definitely going to use the prompts for next year because I barely have anything to write at the end of the day! As you know, everything for me is digital, haha. I also use a digital planner to write down lists, and I use Notion for work tasks.
that sounds like such a good and functional system! and there is just something so effective and freeing about jotting down any thought that comes to mind!
woooo another lauren video, yay! that weeks cover is super pretty! i tried using a weeks toward the end of this year - i bought one super discounted in the beginning of september, but i have not….used it super well lol. i feel like every year since 2022, i’ve been trying different things only to realize at the end of the year that i am a one-book, bullet journal type person. i bought a common planner but i think after i finish the notes page i will move back to bullet journaling i am super excited to continue to see your journals! no pressure of course but i will be tuned in for any and all vids that you post 🫡
uhg, this is so relatable! i always start out with multiple books and by the end of the year im down to one 🤣 we'll see what happens this year! thanks for watching 🥰
I'm about to start my 3rd cousin and 2025 I am starting a weeks for wellness, which I desperately need to focus on - I still need to find a journal but I know I have lots of ones I can re-invent
I look forward to seeing your PTD set up! My line up has more books, but there’s some overlap between our line ups. 😊 We are in the same Weeks! It’s so pretty and I can’t wait to break into it (I’m waiting until Jan). I’m also using my TN for stream of consciousness journaling. I’ve pretty much settled my line up for next year, although a part of me wants to try out daily journalling because I keep getting inspired/influenced by seeing beautiful full Cousin daily spreads. Maybe someday! 😅
I use a sterling ink academic planner for my PhD. The academic year suits my programme better. My other books are a hobo weeks for archiving happy memories, a hobo weeks mega as my EDC and a papertessdesigns b6 notebook as a journal
😂 RE: hobo weeks I think we can all relate about cute planners! I fell in love with Yumi Kitagishi’s designs this year for sone reason. It’s usually not my aesthetic. 😂 I love Helen’s planner ideas, too, and have implemented a lot of her helpful ideas/tips!
I’m doing something similar! I’m currently in my Sterling Ink academic planner and that’s my EDC. I use it to plan my research and common place any quotes or ideas I got from class. I am using a Weeks as a wellness/adulting planner. I’m planning on using another Hobonichi as my memory keeping book, but I can’t decide on the size! I’m likely using a Cousin again.
@ I am hard-core trying to not order one. I may just have to go ahead and order it so I have it in my hand and can establish that. No this does not work for me.
i got the same weekly hobonichi as you bc i thought it was so cute but wasn't sure how I wanted to use it. maybe I'll also turn it into a get out of a rut journal!!
okay I finished, I am going to be strong and get an undated weeks dupe instead of an actual Hobonichi Weeks and use it as a tracker, and you are always inspiring me to journal more but that was already a 2025 goal

this inspires me SO MUCH!!!!! and congrats on finishing, Dr!!!! thank you for watching and cheering me on 🥰

your handwriting is so neat it's crazy 🥰🥰
thank you Chantelle 🥰
Always love to see these kinds of videos too! I would love to see how you decide to take notes for your phd if you had the time.
i definitely want to make a video like this so I am going to brainstorm 🤓
I’m excited to see what you do with the PTD. I have that in my lineup for my main catch all planner and can’t wait to use it.
thanks kelli! i am so excited to dive into the PTD. it seems so functional!
woooo another lauren video, yay!

I’m doing something similar with the hobo weeks, last year I fizzled out pretty quickly, but the year before went so well. I call it my “joy” planner
Same here! I use the weeks to write a 'glimmer' every day as an archive of happy moments for 2025
@@Seagreen_scribeI love that! And the term “glimmer”! So good!!
i LOVE this idea 😍😍😍😍
i hope your system works well for you in the coming year!! it looks very manageable and i like the colour palette you have! :)

omg yayyyy matching weeks!!! i just could not pass up that pattern, its SO cute! cant wait to watch your lineup video!

omg sounds like you have such a good lineup going! and i love the idea of having an archive of happy memories

oh i am so glad i am not alone in this 🤣
I’ve had you on insta for the longest time but did not realize you had a YT, so happy to have found this!!
ahhh thank you SO much for being here!!!!!
I keep telling myself I don't need a Weeks, then Helen posts another picture or reel. 😂 I'm trying hard to resist.
Nice stack! ❤
HAHAHHA...cheryl, why is this EXACTLY what happened to me???? 🤣 you are so strong for resisting!

i love the idea of the "adulting" planner...i think i could use one of those lol. and the cousin is always such a good option
Can't wait to see what you think about the Hon... I've been debating hard core on whether or not I wanted to get one and I'm tempted to cave.
i'll definitely be posting updates!! so far im loving it and i love the all black look 😍
@ I am hard-core trying to not order one. I may just have to go ahead and order it so I have it in my hand and can establish that. No this does not work for me.

omg matching hobonichi weeks yayyyy 😁 i hope we both stick with it LOL!
What is the brand for the travelers notebook cover please?
its from bujoplanner :) bujoplannerbymarija.com/product-category/standard-travelers-notebooks/
You solved the name your weeks planner: "how not to rot journal" is perfect, 🤣😂
it does have a nice ring to it 🤣
What is your PhD in?❤️🇨🇦
its in gender studies 😁
future me, report back after you finish the video with how much your 2025 lineup changes by the end
I haven't finished yet but lauren please share where the tiny number stickers in the HON are from :)
okay I finished, I am going to be strong and get an undated weeks dupe instead of an actual Hobonichi Weeks and use it as a tracker, and you are always inspiring me to journal more but that was already a 2025 goal
YOU INSPIRE ME
i believe they are from thecoffeemonsterzco!
