Now you get it. Gary in the 80s was a ROCK/METAL GUITAR GOD with the ballsiest, most intense guitar style to ever stomp the planet.
The "BLUES player Gary Moore" that people finally discovered post-1990 (which is what most people on YT react to) -- good as it is, he's maybe 1/3rd the guitarist he was in his rock days, and he'd forgotten more about playing hot, intense, lead guitar than most of us will ever know. As he got tamer with each blues album, listening to Gary during his blues period was like watching Babe Ruth bunt.
Gary Moore, one of the best guitarists in the world. I can also recommend : Parisienne Walkways an Red House, both live performances. It will give you goosebumps. greetings from the Netherlands. 🎸🎸🎸🎶🎶🎶👍

This song and WISHING WELL are my 2 favorite songs on this album from the late 70's early 80's. I had it on cassette, driving around Hachinohee, Japan. Great times. Driving around in my 1975 Mitsubishi Lancer GSR rally car.

My favourite line-up of Gary's band, although it didn't last long after this tour. Neil Carter went on to become a school teacher and cat show judge.

Hi chod , Gary Moore and Phil lynott ( thin Lizzy front man ) were great friends and collaborated musically throughout their careers , Gary joined thin Lizzy in 1979 for the black rose album and it was one of thin Lizzy s biggest selling album s ever , if you want to hear some Celtic rock then definitely check out the title track BLACK ROSE , Gary MOORE did an amazing job on this song and album .rip gary moore from belfast and Phil lynott from Dublin .two great rockers .

Gary was such a fantastic guitarist.
He could play any style he wanted to from Blues, Rock, Jazz even Neo-classical. In my humble opinion he was the best guitarist ever to walk this earth.
Unfortunately, this song seems very appropriate for the current circumstances. Gary's line " The Russians are ready " really come home. Let's just hope that the title of the song doesn't come true.

Gary is amazing! He is one of my favorites also. I have spent the entire afternoon watching news reports of Russia's aggression toward Ukraine. This song seems very appropriate as world peace hangs in the balance. Was this choice serendipity, or did you plan it? Let us all pray for the people of Ukraine.

Gary was always ahead of his time and had no fear of saying things out loud! Just think of the lyrics of this song in the past weeks and especially few days we had, frightening right? Gary is probably shouting out in his grave 😭! “Murder in the Skies” is another great example of that!
