@@QSBraWQmake sense the hunter looks like a small strider and in lore the strider couldn’t really find targets in buildings so they had to use drones/ combine soldiers to tell it where to shoot So a tight alley way or building would put a hunter in a tough spot

They strapped some makeshift handles to it and used it for locking down chokepoints. (That summation being based on the fact that the handles for the ar1 look super makeshift and janky). And thus, ar1. The prototype ar2s would just be that, prototypes for the ar2. Not their own designation.

The AR3 Guy makes sense because: 1: The AR3 is a mounted machinegun and is common in cities 2: Hunters is an insanely common colloquialism. It's likely he was talking about something much smaller or weaker, like zombies.

Also hunters are good in open fields, but ambushing them in a city might give advatange. (Although, it's probably why we never see them in the city)
