These "no talk" challenges are my favorite. They are the epitome of going from "yeah sounds ezpz lol" to "what the actual fuck are these atrocities I'm watching ymfah commit"
the best part about that is the fact that those are the ONLY 2 ways Ymfah does things. pretty casual stuff most people could do and then proceeding to awaken a dead god, slay it and devour its soul whilst dying from some weird cross dagger and evolving into a secret new form of Gordon Ramsay as a cooking deity and then smiting every boss in Elden ring without even leaving the starting area. or it fails cause it was patched, and he uses something he finds less cool but still one shot most thing.
The other crazy one is the "no walking" challenge. That skyrim video is a masterpiece and I hope he does it in Bloodborne.

Well it's a good thing the NPCs in ER barely have any character outside their surface level interactions or else I'd actually care about their deaths.
so many times I see these elden ring 'challenge' runs like "can you beat the game with weapon" or "only this type of spell" yes, yes you can.

I love that the starting class is the "Confessor" in a "No Talk Run". Poetic.
I mean you can confess without speaking.
He has nothing to confess.
There is actually a way to get into Radahn's fight without talking. Jump into it from the Church Of Plague. You'll die inside of his arena, meaning under the protection of a Stake of Marika. You can then choose to revive at the Stake of Marika, and repeat the fight as usual. I discovered this myself when playing with my brother. I think some streamers have used it as well. It'd be easier than Volcano Manor at base level.
Not a bad idea, but the point of the segment was to show that not having access to the roundtable was preventing progress, not lack of great runes. Either demigod would've worked to prove this, but Rykard had more hurdles to overcome and was overall more interesting.

so I was trying really hard to avoid spoilers for this game and go into it completely blind. and now that I've finally finished it I've been watching all your elden ring content. top notch as always, and I have to admit that seeing your videos pop up and having to resist has been the biggest challenge since I love your videos
Did the exact same thing. Only bought elden ring like 2 weeks ago and finished it a few days ago and watched all ymfah's elden ring videos almost immediately. I really wanted to play it blind, and ymfah's videos were so tempting to watch. I got the best of both worlds through patience though:)

I don't know if it was intentional but using that classic Ymfah outro theme as the music for the Radagon/Elden Beast fight matches so well thematically considering Radagons theme is essentially the main Elden Ring theme, but it works so well for a final battle to this amazig video!

I was sad because I expected the Frenzy Flame to burn the Erdtree but at the end you showed the Morgott seal blocking it's way, awesome video as always, was a bit worried because a bunch of channels appeared out of nowhere making challenge videos about Elden Ring but your style and presentation it's the best
Why would you be worried about more challenge runs? The more the merrier!
oversaturation of a genre of videos can make it less profitable to make them if demand doesn't scale with the quantity which potentially results in dead or refocused channels
@@Pigmedog i would argue it would have the opposite effect for ymfah. The production value for these videos is so high that they'll always stand out. There are 1000 "soulslike" games on steam but Elden Ring still stands apart

Nobody is EVER going to outshine ymfah with this style of video, his production quality, sense of humor and style, skill and knowledge of the games mechanics and all the obscure little details you'd need to put shit like this together, seemingly effortlessly (though it likely takes absolutely crazy amounts of work to do one of these). Yeah, the copycats can try but they'll just end up making our man here look even better than the imitators.
I will always be so impressed by ymfah’s editing. Really among the top of the craft on this platform.

I love in these videos it’s not just ymfah being swag and killing all of the bosses normally even if it’d be really challenging, he still finds like the easiest ways to deal with these bosses
Love the part when you try to get into the capital with 3 runes. I saw it coming and couldn't wait to see it. My brother tried to do a "No maidens" run and not talk to Melina for the run but failed once he got to the capital and found out you can only get in if you have the roundtable hold. Also was wondering what it would take to do a run where you kill everybody? Probably Impossible with the roundtable hold and other places was just an interesting thought I had in the shower.
I'm late but it's possible to get most of the roundtable's characters out of there.

i actually spent around 10 hours of my first playthrough without Melina showing up because i didnt rest at most of the graces i activated. this also meant i triggered the trap chest and had to walk my way out of Caelid. only after a friend told me to rest at the early graces did i finally get a maiden
Same. Its actually not that hard to avoid her tbh.i i didnt meet her until after i beat Godrick. And i specifically had to look up how to find her. Probably never wouldve encountered her until late game otherwise because theres no reason to rest at overworld graces unless youre tping or levelling, and I hadnt met her to level up yet so...
The same thing happened to me, I actually killed Margit the first time because I thought he was the first boss that would actually unlock leveling. I thought they really made this game hard and maybe I was supposed to explore more, but persevered. After leveling up didn't unlock from him I had to look it up x_x
Once you get out of the cave the trap takes you to, you can teleport tho

I'm completely serious when I say I think you could make an entirely serious Elden Ring story video with your editing and music choices. Hell, the small little "preview" segments with the vocals over the panning shots of the areas are magnificent.
